Have very good service from all of the staff ,the aids and nurses and physical therapists and the receptionists are outstanding .they cater to my dad like he is their dad, they make him feel comfortable . They all respond to any question , concerns and requests. Food leaves a little to be desired ,but is edible, after all they are feeding older folks who are set in their ways. I give a 5 star for overall quality.

This facility lacks professionalism. Staff is subpar. The staff, and management does not care for the residents properly. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to the facility. I think Staff should have to be placed here when they are unable to care for themselves.

The night of May 5-6 nobody was around. I repeated ly pushed my call button no one came. At lasr someone came, put me on a bed pan and left me there for 3-4 hours. After a shift change a nurse came to take care of me and was apaulled of what i and others went through that night.

Big Bend Woods Healthcare Center is close to home for a family member to get to. Everyone there is very nice. Kim is just very helpful. She makes sure that I'm happy with where my aunt is and that she is being taken care of. My aunt is in a shared room, but it is clean. The housekeepers are wonderful. If something needs to be done, they get on it right away. They do bingo and crafts to keep them busy. The food is wonderful. They have outdoor space. Right now, it's cold, so nothing is in bloom. They have a nice patio area. They have some type of a fountain. When it's warm outside, they can go out. I saw an exercise area where they have weights and an exercise bike. If they need some rehabilitation, they have that available for them. They have a gathering room, and they have a TV there. I'm just very pleased. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. This place is just perfect for my aunt.

My mom Effie is here for last 3 weeks and recovering. They have a pretty atrium with palm trees and water fountain. She likes it here and her room mate has been here 3 years and likes it.

I came here for one week after a double knee replacement. The therapy was incredible with professional therapists that really know what they're doing. You can tell that all the staff really enjoy what they do and care about their patients. The food was great with different choices for every meal.

I had my mom (3X)and dad at Big Bend Woods and I have to say the staff there are very caring and welcoming. The nurses were very informative when I had questions. I told the therapy department exactly what I needed my mom and dad to do to get them back home and they made that their goal and both returned home! I can't name one issue we had during their stay and I visited every day.Very friendly staff and thanks to them we had a positive experience.

This facility is a dump. The rooms are dirty and filled like hoarders homes. The residents run around with food all over their clothing and smell like they haven't been changed or showered in days. Aides hide in resident rooms on their phones instead of taking care of patients. Not for my mother.

I visited the lovely Big Bend Woods Rehab a few times in the past 6 months the staff are sooo warm and friendly, excellent nurses. the residents are so relaxed and happy, always Good activities and fun, the food looks so delicious like restaurants slyle. The renovations looks so beautiful like a five start hotel. I would recommend everyone that needs a rehab place should go to Big Bend Woods

Updates?! This place is disgusting! We recently went to visit a friend, and the hallways wreaked of urine and feces. When we went to see her in her room, we were shocked at the lack of cleanliness and care. What a terrible place! I have seen a lot of nursing homes, some great, and others were OK, but this one was really awful. We felt like we were in a horror movie. The temperature was so hot in the whole facility that day, I felt like I would be sick...and she says she is freezing at night. The equipment was dated/ some even broken, the bathroom was worse than a gas station, and the lighting was flickering the whole time. In the main hallway, the staff work computer even had a note taped to the front of the screen, saying that patients are continually found with "soaked diapers" in the morning hours, and asking the staff "how would you feel?" Around the corner was the "guest bathroom" and there was the same note on that hallway computer. I'm also wondering how they can get away with having nurse station- charts and patient papers all over the desks (!), just laying out for everyone to see! Is this their idea of a work meeting for everyone, including guests to see? Worse yet, was that a nurse came in to give her medicine and called her by the wrong name and said, "whoops, I almost have you the wrong medicine!" Within an hour, a (very unfriendly) cafeteria worker came in with a food tray and there was another man's name on the sheet next to her tray. She had no idea if there was supposed to be dietary restrictions. We couldn't get out there fast enough and called the family immediately. Of course, as we left, the side door "security buzzer" was not even working, to let their own nurses/ workers into the building that were waiting outside for what they said was "12 minutes". We were shocked and wondering how is this place not shut down?!

I preferred Big Bend Woods over others for my mother because of the cleanliness. The facility has a lot of open spaces like windows. I got a room for my mother, it is good. The food is very good, they prepare a balanced meal. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable, very welcoming. I would recommend the place to others.

While most facilities expect you to spend down your assets while living there and then will extend a medicaid paid bed to those who no longer have any money, Big Bend Woods opens it arms to all sorts of clients, regardless of their ability to pay. It is not the most up to date facility as a result, but it is clean, cheerful, accomodating to residents and their guests, and the staff is long term, kind, always willing to learn more, and spend a great deal of time caring for and being kind to residents of all abilities. I am so impressed with the facility that I have recommended it to several other people who are looking for a home for their loved ones. I couldn't say enough about how wonderful they have been with my aunt.
