My family and I have had family members and friends here. We highly recommend this facility. The staff are great, they work hard. My Grandfather is here now. I write this review to let other families know that there may be issues encountered in any community living home, but if you don’t go to the management team and talk to them and truly want to help and be willing to compromise then you will never be happy with any facility. I hear others at my church complain about nursing homes and I always ask did you talk to the right person. Complainers will never be happy with anything. I give kudos to staff that work in this field. To some they are the only family, they are caregivers, feeders, housekeepers cooks etc., they are everything for a large number of people living in a small space and have to deal with on occasion unreasonable family members. Nursing homes across the state are struggling to stay open as a result of all the medicaid cuts and the majority of the people who live here are just that. I would not have my Grandpa anywhere else. Go visit the facility any facility before you place a loved one. Talk to residents that live there to see if they have concerns then base your decision from there. I have the 5 STAR rating that the government puts out is very one side and not fair at all. I find most reviews come from “complainers” who haven’t talked to the right person at the facility to solve their issues. Last but not least if you or your loved one is not happy where they are at, find another home. Great job St Peters Manor my family loves you.

My husband moved into St. Peters Manor Care Center. Right now, it seems unstructured. The facility is nice and clean. The staff is wonderful. The residents seem happy. I know they're still trying to work out my husband's routine. They probably need to improve the meal selections because my husband is a picky eater. They have a salon. They do have a podiatrist and eye doctor that come in. The location is not really far away. From my house, it's about a 22-minute drive, as opposed to some of the facilities we looked at that were like an hour drive.

After no complaints for 5 months I was informed by phone that they could no longer meet her needs so the were looking to place her somewhere else. The very next day the sent her to another facility 2 hours away.

Both my parents were residents here. My dad fell many times. They put him on medications without telling us and because of medication he was not eating so he lost a lot of weight. They told us he had cancer. We took him to a oncologist. He did not have cancer. They would not take him to the hospital when we ask he almost died there. Finally got him to the hospital and at a different facility and he is doing good. We tried to get my mom transferred from there they refused to send the papers to the new facility for weeks. She was having issues breathing I had a ambulance go pick her up because they wood not send her to the hospital.

I visited my grandmother the other day and it’s been on several occasion that my grandmother can not get ice cream when she wants to as much as our family members pay to stay here it’s sad that a lot of things they ask for in the kitchen they either won’t give them are don’t have it. I noticed that the administrator only comes around when corporate are anyone big comes to visits. This is a place we’re our love ones will be living out the rest of there lives and I truly believe that they should have simple things as ice cream juice snacks . I feel the aides or over worked and not even considered are appreciated if the administration would treat staff better then the place would be even better ! One aide tried to get my grandmother ice cream and when she couldn’t she offered to go and get her some from the gas station now that’s above and behind and of course my family didn’t expect her to do that but it was nice that she even considered. The rating of this place will never go up if you don’t have the administrator running the place who genuinely cares about her staff and not the decoration of the building . I was always taught to treat people how you want to be treated it goes along way. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone we just don’t move our grandmother because she loves the way 3 of her aides treat her as you see I said aides only . I want to say who my grandmother is but I don’t want any retaliation for her granddaughter making a review all I will say is she is on division 2 . I wonder what state will say if I call and tell them that they are not giving the residents simple things that should always be available!!!! Not happy at all

I visit my dear Friend at least once a week and always been treated very respectful, the bldg is older but very well kept up, they are making so many improvements to this facility, I asked my friend how he likes it there and he says he enjoys it very much and the staff is very polite, the food is hit and miss at times but not bad, I would highly recommend St Peter’s Manor for a loved one.

My mother was a resident at St. Peters for 1.5 years. She had a private room which was a nice size and clean. She is refined to a wheelchair so she had to rely on the staff for all her needs. They have a high turn over with the staff and her needs were not being met. They were unable to keep track of her clothes and they were marked with her name in permanent marker. Most times when we visited her she would be in need of a change. She had a large bruise on her face and a pressure sore on her bottom when we moved her. I would not put a loved one in this facility

I have a friend who has lived at the Manor for 22 years. She has seen alot in those years. In those 22 years there has never been an update of her apartment. The Manor is interested in money rather than people. When my friend recently moved, I went with two ladies to inspect her apartment. They signed off on the apartment and said I would get me full refund. We did not. The longer you live there, I am sure you would have wished you loved one was somewhere else. This review will probably not see the light of day. I haven't seen a negative review yet on their site.

St Peters Manor Care Center which was an old building, but I felt like my father-in-law got really good care there. I think the rooms are probably smaller than other places, but I think the care of the staff is very warm. I never ate the food that my mother-in-law did, but she thought the food was good. I think the location is great, and the grounds are pretty.

My mother went here after she broke her hip. I was very nervous as the reviews were not the best. In my opinion she was close to not making it. I am in awe of the excellent care she has been given. The therapy there for the rehab is totally awesome. The nursing is superb. Every employee that works there is very friendly knows everyone by name. I can't be more pleased of the care they have given her. The food is so-so but they seem to accommodate everyone, My mother has only been there a month but she is definitely on the road to recovery. I am hoping she will walk again, but I have confidence if anyone can do it they can. There is always an adjustment period when they first go there and they just hate it. After two weeks or so they adjust and start smiling again, Of course my mother has her favorites (nurses) that she loves. If your in doubt you should try this facility as they are all caring and very helpful. The administration is great along with the money lady that will explain things in detail on the best option of the finances to go with. I can't say enough how very pleased I am with this facility. Thank you all for being so giving and caring of the elderly.

Within the past year the facility has has a lot of staff turnover within the CNA's and Nursing and Kitchen staff. The new staff does not really know the residents routines so some of the personal care is now lacking. I see this more on the evening shifts than the day shifts since there is less of a management presence. There are some GOOD employee's that work at the manor. The facility is generally clean and sanitary, the noise level is low which is also nice. Be involved in your family members care and you should be OK. At this point I would be a little concerned in just leaving my family member there UN-atteneded.

I really wanted to get him into St Peters Manor. I've only been there to visit twice. We tried to transfer him there, but because of the nurse's note from the other facility they did not feel that they can take him. I like the fact that they post their nursing staff coverage for each shift. I like the fact that they have pictures of all their employees on the hallways that shows how long they have worked in the facility. I like the fact that the doctor and a nurse practitioner comes in once a week. The facility is very clean, and there is no smell. There is 24 hour laundry. Those are the things that I like.

My sister is staying in the St. Peters Manor. She has as an amputated foot and a wound that doesn't heal. I'd say the place is quite good. It seems always clean. Once in a while, you notice some odors. But that's a constant battle I know in that kind of place. She's been in several nursing homes. It's one of the nicer places that I've seen her in. They seem very knowledgeable and very caring.

My mother has been in this facility for over a year now and the care has been exceptional. It is an older home and not 'fancy' looking but in my opinion, the decor is something my mother can relate to. There are daily activities for the residents and occasional field trips as well. The nurses and aids are available anytime of the day or night to speak with and family can also be there anytime of the day or night.

I found the staff to be friendly and caring. The facilities are not decorated very warmly or inviting. It would be nice to see more activities planned for the residents to keep them busy, and enjoying life to the fullest extent.

I have visited this facility while attempting to find short-term care for a family member recovering from a serious illness. Even thought the facility appears welcoming - there were many negatives presented during our visit. The facility did not have private rooms available and does not allow visitation after certain hours. Also, there was a set menu schedule will little to no variation. I would not suggest this facility for a more active resident.
