I have visited a long time co-worker who is a resident of Oak Park. I found the facility to be dirty. residents unkept in wheelchairs along the walls leading to the rooms. Nursing staff gathering outside the break room just having a good ole time laughing. joking call lights going off. Oak Park Care Center is a nursing home that has its ups and downs. For the ups, the nursing home has staff that seem to really care about the people who live at the home. Most of the staff are kind and always attentive to the needs of the residnets. On the other hand, the faciltity often has an odor in sections of the halls; this is pretty typical for a home of this kind, but often Oak Park is a bit worse than many facilities that I have been to.
