Green Valley was the only place that would take my mother. It would've not been my first choice at all because it's in a very bad neighborhood and it's far from me, but the owner assured me that he would work with me and not kick her out. It's very institutionalized, very old, and there's 100 people as far as the population. She is in a locked ward, which has 12 people on that wing. The people are very nice though, very friendly, and they smile at you and talk to you. We're settling in there now. She has been there since early March. The guys are trying to clean up a little bit, paint, and modernize it. I would recommend it, and this one was also the cheapest and the most reasonable. Everything is included. I don't have to bring any Depends or toiletries, except for the things that I want her to have. But on the first two days, they lost seven outfits I brought, and her name was on everything. I went down to the laundry room to locate them, and it was horrible; clothes were everywhere. I don't think they have enough people doing the laundry because they also do the linens. I really raised hell with the owners. Other people have told me that their parents are missing their clothes and they never get them back. Also, my mom only has a little part of the closet and no door on it, so I have requested a door on there, even if it's just a curtain with a spring rod.
