My father has moved into Delmar Gardens South. It's been very good. They've been pretty quick to react to anything that we bring up, and they've helped a lot in getting Medicaid certification completed. They have helped us with the monthly payments until Medicaid is approved. They took good care of my mother until she died, and they're taking good care of my dad. He's in an Alzheimer's ward, and it's clean, and it's not overly big, but it's sufficient. They have other facilities there for him to watch TV in and the dining hall is nice. Everything is pretty nice there. He likes the food and he gets along with the staff well. He's content there. He's not receiving full skilled nursing care like my mother did. He can dress himself and feed himself. He's self-sufficient in a lot of ways, but he's not in reality anymore. They watch TV. They play cards. They have church services there. It looks very nice, clean and cheerful. They seem to have plenty of staff, but it shocks me how much that kind of care costs.

Mom is at Delmar Gardens South. It is a good community with a caring staff. Their rooms are small and old, but they're very clean. They're just short-staffed, and it's kind of a high price, but their staff is good.

The staff at Delmar Gardens South is very nice and you can always find someone if you need help, but they still leave mom sitting in her wet Depends for hours and hours (just like any other nursing home). Her room is a teeny, tiny corner. She pays $9000 for it, so it's not a cheap one. She likes the food though. They have a little sitting area that we use quite frequently. The facility is pretty clean.

I was at Delmar after I fell and broke my leg. I wasn't happy about needing rehab but wasn't surprised at how nice my stay was. Though I would have preferred a private room they took into consideration my needs and made sure I had the right fit for a roommate. If I had any issues they jumped to resolving it right away. The staff were friendly and encouraging. If I ever needed long term care in the future I know where I will be going now.

My brother fell off a 6' retaining wall. He is diabetic. After a few days in the hospital he went to delmar gardens south. The whole week he was there his blood sugar level was over 500. They refused to increase his insulin. So they ended up having to send him back to the hospital for 3 days. Not happy at all ????

We could not afford Delmar Gardens Rehab. The only thing I have good to say about it is it has nice china and a nice dining. Their nursing care is bad. My mom is now in assisted living, and she was in skilled nursing care because she fell and broke her hip and couldn't walk until after the rehab.

The nursing staff was terrible in Delmar Gardens South and they didn't think. If there was an order, they did it but they would never call for an order. The aides were fine though. My wife stayed there when she fell and fractured her pelvis. They let her sleep for twelve hours without changing her clothes and without letting her urinate except on herself. They told me they couldn't do anything so I got an ambulance and went someplace else. I was very upset.
