I've been in rehab at Bentleys Extended Care. The nurses are good and everything. The food is not good because I'm vegetarian and lactose intolerant. Some of the people here are OK, but most of them don't have a brain. Everything is OK. There are activities almost every day. There's exercises (which is what we have right now), games, and things like that. I've been cooking for myself almost all my life, and here they don't know what it is to be a vegetarian, lactose intolerant, and diabetic, and I have trouble with a lot of foods here.

Bentleys Extended Care seemed to be pretty updated and well-maintained. The staff that we met during the tour seemed friendly enough. They had somebody that comes in to do hair and there was a podiatrist that comes in regularly.

I found that all of the staff was helpful and very friendly. My room was kept clean and they cleaned it everyday. The dinning was good and they even used real linens. I will choose this facility again if I ever have a need for therapy. There was daily activities and the director of activities is very nice. I especially like the bingo. I also enjoyed the outings , going to the casino was such fun, because I’ve never been to one before. I just want to thank all of you at Bentleys Extended Care for helping me regain my strength and taking such good care of me after my fall.

Bentleys Extended Care is mostly just rehab center, it wasn't like an assisted living. The only thing I would say about it was that I think if my mother would have gotten a little more exercise, she probably would have been there that long. I just think they kept her pretty much in a wheelchair most of the time. Now that she's home and moving around, she moves around a lot more than she did there. The other thing was we didn't know how it worked and all that. We didn't have a meeting and tell us the time for her Medicare. I think they covered 100 days and they didn't discuss going home until the very last day. Definitely she would have been able to get out of there sooner. The living environment seemed fine. My dad has eaten several meals with my mother there. He would often spend time with her almost everyday and ate dinner with her a lot of times.
