The main reason I chose Crabapple Village Senior Estates for my dad is because of the appearance and the layout. It had a homey atmosphere. The staff members are excellent. If there's ever a problem or a question, they don't hesitate to call me. I haven't tried eating there, but I have had very few complaints from my dad about the food. They have game rooms, exercise facilities, and areas for people to sit around and chat. The price is worth it.

We toured Crabapple Village Senior Estates. It was very nice. The staff was extremely nice, very down-to-earth, and very understanding of different situations. They considered my mom's situation and they also considered me, too, in the mix, how her living affects me. I just love them. They have it decorated like old-fashioned stuff just like my mom likes, like she would decorate her house. The only problem was that it was so expensive, so she couldn't afford it. I would love it if Mom could afford to go there. It's very clean and they were all wearing their masks. They have a little TV room, games, bingo, a common area where can they visit and watch TV just to get out of the room, they had a hairstylist there, and they also offered to do your laundry if you wanted them to, and that's all included.

My grandmother was in Crabapple Village Senior Estates, and we didn't care for it at all. She was only there for a couple of weeks. It's not a very well-run place. I would give it 0 stars. Her room was too small. It was one open room, so she didn't have privacy unless she was in the bathroom. It wasn't a very good fit for her. Communication was horrible. We were told things that never happened, or we weren't told things that were happening. She was quarantined, so she wasn't able to participate in any of the activities, and they didn't offer her any room alternatives either.

Our experience with Crabapple Village has been very good. They take excellent care of my husband. The place is very clean, it's not terribly over-crowded, and they give individualized attention to him. He has to be fed and dressed, and every morning they get him up and sit him in his chair, then they take him out and put him with the rest of the residents. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. They bring in people to entertain the residents, although they don't really have a lot of activities on the memory care level. For their assisted living they have quite a few activities that they do every day. As far as I know, he's fine with the food, but they have to puree his food so he can eat it since he has trouble swallowing. In addition to the three meals they're given, they have snacks every couple of hours. So like three times a day they can have snacks. If he's hungry or thirsty they'll give him something, they'll give him pudding or yogurt or gatorade, and all kinds of stuff.

Crabapple Village was very good. We had a couple of visits there. It was attractive. It was in a nice location. It had anything from independent living to assisted living. It was very clean. The people seemed to be well taken care of. The staff members were good.
