Caregivers Inn has been very helpful with my mother-in-law. They're very caring with her, taking good care of her, and making sure her needs are met. They have a very friendly staff. They're in the process of redoing something so there are a few things that are changing. They have a small courtyard in the back with a little gazebo and a front-covered porch. They have a very friendly staff. They play bingo and other games like Jeopardy and Yahtzee; just different group games like that. They do some crafts. So, there are other activities too, but I'm not aware because I'm not up there all the time.

My first impression of Caregivers Inn was that it's outdated. The size of the rooms was small but they were clean. The staff who accommodated me were very friendly and the dining area was clean. They had activities on the calendar, but during my visit, I didn't really see anything going on or any places to do anything. The place was fairly small. I think they should do a complete and overall update of the place. It looked like it was back from the 70s. The beds were very small and appeared to be uncomfortable. They were like very old beds. The director I met with was very caring, very knowledgeable, and shared his personal experiences. There was another person, I wouldn't call him a director because he was just doing his internship there, and it was obvious to me that he was just there for an internship. I didn't get a caring vibe from him. I didn't get if he was even interested in memory care.

My mom has stayed at Caregivers Inn. It was kind of small, but we knew that going in. It just didn't meet her needs at the time. We thought it would, but they are working towards it to make it better. I didn't want to badmouth the place completely because they were very nice. They were nice with her and everything. But it's just it ended up having way more care, or memory care, than regular assisted living. The grounds were clean. The staff was okay, but they were short-staffed a lot. They were going through a transition with the management group, and they were going through wanting to get their kind of people in there. So, there was some turnover while we were there. They also got some more help eventually. The room was small, they were just little rooms. The best way to describe it, as my wife puts it was, it reminded her of a boarding house. It wasn't terrible. It just wasn't what we were looking for, and we kind of were in under a gun. There were some extenuating circumstances that if we had a little more time, we may not have chosen caregivers, but they were able to take us right away in the situation that we were in. They offer a lot of the same things as other places, as far as activities. They have bingo, crafts, and different stuff. They tried to make the residents go down and be active in the activities. But again, it ended up being that there was too much intermixing of the memory care with the few residents that were there actually for assisted living. I think they're working towards changing that as best they can, but that was one of the issues that my mother had with why we made the change. The food, I don't think it was as good as what we're getting now. For my mom, it didn't seem like there was enough at meals, and it was pretty much whatever they fixed is what you got. There were no options, everybody ate the same thing. We thought they made them eat a little too early for dinner. It didn't work out for us, but it wasn't a bad facility, and it wasn't run terribly. It was just for my mom's experience, what she was looking for, and what we ultimately wanted for her. It just wasn't the facility for us. A slightly selfish reason for my wife and I is, that it was like a couple of minutes' drive to get to my mom if we needed to.

It is the one that I love. It's a small place, and it's homey. There is a nice place around the fireplace, and then they have a dementia ward, and that's nice. It's a very nice homey place. They take the residents to places, and the staff said they have something going on everyday.

My mom used to stay here which was just recommended to us. I liked the fact that it was small and pretty and there were not too many residents. The staff was pretty good and at that time when mom was there, their care was sufficient.
