Some of the staff are wonderful but most are sullen, sometimes surly, and would avoid work to play with their iphones. Med delivery is erratic and often incomplete. Food is high carb, high fat with little fiber or protein. Amenities? What amenities?!? Would I recommend St. Sophia for those you care about? Not if you love them!

If you love your love one don’t bring them here. Worst care ever, my Mom was there for 3 weeks and lost over 22lbs. She received very little food and medications. She was not kept safe. NO SKILLED NURSING! This place is a joke no nursing care no nothing. I wouldn’t bring a dog there. I saw clients on the floor, clients begging for help and food. Food is cold and no utensils to eat with, this place is pitiful. This place need Staff that care about the residents from the top to the bottom. I been in nursing for over 40 years and never seen anything like this place. I don’t know how they are still open.

This facility is located at 936 Charbonier Rd. Florissant, Mo. This facility is unsanitary, smells of urine, residents toilets covered with feces, lazy uncaring staff, bad food, poor management. Interaction from the facility workers to the residents and visitors is snide and condescending. Would not recommend taking your loved ones here.

Horrible place, horrible experience. Not only rude, but talk down to you when asking a question. Awhile go my friend was a resident there and she did not make it. I not saying they did it but the lack of care and attention to the clients was notorious

We had a horrible experience. It smelled like urine on a daily basis. The other residents always complained and most seemed? content on dying, because leaving the facility just isn't possible; minus a body bag of course. The staffing situation was a joke. Constantly on their cellphones and very rude to their client base. My grandmother was unable to use her legs properly, thus unable to use the bathroom or shower by herself. It's hard for me to even think people could be so self centered in a nursing position. I would visit as time allowed, due to me working full time and finishing my doctrine. I would pop in to check on my favorite friend in life, just to find her with feacil matter and urine all over her. Don't get me started on the other residents heigen too. I would look all over till I located a nurse and then be interrupted by them, so they could look at a text message. I even tried elevating my concern, which produced no results. If you care for your friends and family, I recommend literally anywhere, but this dump.

St. Sophia was very nice. There was plenty of lighting and open space. It didn't look like a hospital at all as there were recent upgrades of hardwood floors and new art. The facility was very clean. For visitors, coffee and tea were available. During my visits, it was fully staffed and the nurses and developmental assistants were quick to respond to any call. There weren't any staff just 'hanging around' or watching television. They all were busy. I watched how the staff treated the other patients. The staff were nice and caring. The other residents were either watching television, doing other activities, or interacting with each other. There was plenty to do on the activity board. I asked my grandfather how he was being treated and he was doing OK. He didn't have any qualms being there. One time I visited during dinner time. The food served was healthy and portion controlled.
