I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father was at Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital. He had to have a talk with them because they wanted to give him a shower at night, and he is a shower in the morning kind of person, so they worked that out. Everybody that I had seen and talked to was very nice. The rooms were pretty big and very clean. He didn't like that they made him do stuff, and I was like, "You are in a rehab facility, and that's their job." Overall, it seemed really nice. They have a gymnasium there where they do a lot of physical therapy in groups and stuff. They have their own little cafeteria.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The staff and therapy were great. However, when my grandpa went to the hospital from there. He returned and was not told hiw to get his belongings that were left. He was also discharged without a very important brace that he needed. This was due to the lack of documentation from the doctor. Therefore, he was discharged without what was needed to be sucessful

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My father was at Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital. He was there to start healing after a major surgery because he lives by himself. It was fine. Everybody was really nice, and they did a good job. Everything was really good. I have nothing bad to say about them. He was in a private room. He had his own room, his own bathroom in his room, and he had three hot meals a day. Everybody was kind. He did OT and PT for three hours Monday through Friday.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Our experience with Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital was very good. My dad was there. The staff was very good. I had no complaints about the food. They were teaching him how to do things on his own and get his strength back because with a broken pelvis, he was unable to really motivate very much; therefore, atrophy was setting in relative to his legs. They exercised him.

I visited this facility

I was a patient in Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital. I had a fall and had surgery on my right hip. I was unable to even get out of bed and was sent to rehab. The staff was so great. Therapy really worked a miracle and after 2 weeks I was walking with a walker. The nurses are angels and I cannot say thank you enough for getting me ready to go back home.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I am the wife of a patient at Mercy Rehab. This facility was highly recommended by our BJC neurosurgeon because he said his patients had reported exceptional experiences here. Our experience was wonderful. The staff was 100% professional, kind and helpful. My. Husband received consistent and diligent OT, PT and Speech Therapy and we saw consistent improvement. The therapy staff trained me to help transport him to the restroom and to walk with him on the floor. That gave me the confidence to care for him when we went home. The family engagement and the faith-based caring attitude of the staff made our experience a very positive one. We will continue our therapy with Mercy on an outpatient basis. We are so grateful for the love and service we received at Mercy Rehab and highly recommend it.

Provider Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. It is our honor to provide quality care.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital -- for the most part -- was fine. Unfortunately, since I work during the day, there was a lot of stuff I wasn't really that involved with so I wasn't always well-informed as far as everything that was going on, but I think they all did pretty well. My wife seemed to like the people there. She had a private room, and it was nice. They certainly helped her make progress.
