We looked at Brookridge Assisted Living. My mother-in-law liked that it was close to our house since it's the same town, about a mile away. She liked the environment, they had a bird aviary. She liked the decor, but it wasn't modern. It felt more like it was her age style, the furnishings were contemporary furniture and stuff like that. They had drapes where some of them don't have any window treatments. If you had to summarize it, it felt like home and it was close to our home. We dropped in unannounced so they didn't know we were coming. The person that gave us the tour is not the person that normally does that. She was one of the aides that works there. She did a very good job, she's very hospitable and everything, but it wasn't like a pre-arranged with the person that normally would give a tour. She was very friendly, very accommodating, and very knowledgeable. I've visited there quite often because I know other people that stay there and so they have breaks and lunches, all that in their community room. My wife and I often go there to visit with some of the people. So I mean, I was very familiar with it to begin with, where my mother-in-law, of course, just moved up here from Florida and had never seen it before. We did not have any food on our tour. But I've often joined their residents for snacks and they have sing-alongs, and church services.
