My dad is at Cedar Crest of Silver Lake. We like it because of the staff, the location, and the cost. If there is any type of issue, they call us. They keep us updated every time we step in there, just as to how he's doing throughout the day, and they encourage him to participate in activities. He is in the memory care area and they check on him every half hour if he's not out doing an activity. Everybody has a single room. They're all the same size and they're very, very spacious. You can put things on the wall and make it as homey as you like.

Cedar Crest of Silver Lake was a very nice location. You had the lake to look at, but it was very small, and it's not for someone who can take care of themselves 90% of the time. They take care of everything like they take care of your pills. It was a very nice tour. The staff who gave the tour was very informative, knew all the information, and answered all our questions. They have a salon. They have plenty of outdoor space to walk or to sit by the lake. They would do your laundry. They take care of everything, and if you need that kind of assistance, that's a perfect place to go.

Cedar Crest of Silver Lake is a very nice community. Nice facilities. It's just that I don't think I'm ready to go there yet. There are plenty of nice rooms for the residents. They seem to have plenty of activities, too. I saw the dining room and some of the individual living spaces. There was a singalong exercise get-together going on while I was there. The dining area is lovely. It's better than my house. The staff who gave the tour was very accommodating and very friendly. The outdoor spaces were very nice and neat. It was cold when I was there, so I don't think people have been using the outdoors so much, but there's a lake right there that they can observe and walk around. The rooms were much more spacious than I expected. They're kind of a little efficiency apartment for each room, so they can segregate their living space from their bedroom and kitchenette area.

Cedar Crest of Silver Lake looked like a nice option, but it still had the feel of a nursing care facility. It was a beautiful location right on the lake. I got a great tour of the place. The son of the founder did a great job of showing me around. He was very, very friendly. He's been there pretty much his whole life because his Mom started it. He seemed to know everybody and everybody knew him. Everyone seemed very friendly and professional. The room was kind of small, and you could bring your own furniture. They had living spaces, living rooms, and dining areas where people could go. Another downside would be that none of the apartments had an independent shower. There was a toilet in the apartment, but everybody had to go through a bathing room, which I didn't like at all for my dad. He would not feel comfortable with that. Heating and cooling were not a problem, but they won't provide a refrigerator or anything like that.

Cedar Crest of Silver Lake has both assisted living and memory care on the same complex. It's on a lake so it's a very nice setting. We're very pleased with the person who gave us the tour, the manager I believe. All the meals were included there and everything. The rooms were studios, so they were small and my mom and dad would have to be each in a separate room, that's why we didn't choose that. I had asked them if the assisted living was bigger, but they said they're both the same size as the memory care. They had amenities and also activities there. Their utilities were all wrapped into one place, which was a nice benefit.

I toured Cedar Crest of Silverlake and I liked it very much. I liked everything about it except it was a little bit too far from my siblings. The staff was excellent. Everyone was very cheery and everybody greeted me and it seemed like a very well-run place. The rooms had a nice view. They're right on the lakes so it was really nice. I liked the way it was set up. I liked their outside seating. The bathroom where they gave them baths was really nice. I wanted to take my mom there. The dining area had a nice setup too.

I went to look at Cedar Crest of Silver Lake. It was a really nice place, it appeared very clean and smelled clean even. The rooms I saw there appeared spacious and clean from what I could tell. I didn't go to the dining area, I just walked past it and there were a few residents sitting there doing crafts with some staff members assisting. From my viewpoint, it's a wide-open space and from a distance it looked fine. It was a gentleman that showed me around and he was very informative. I believe it was founded by his grandmother, so he knew a lot of the history, the daily goings-on, and how everything is being done with COVID. He was perfect for what I was looking for that day. He did a really great job.

My mother is in Cedar Crest of Silver Lake. The staff is doing a good job and they are friendly. The atmosphere is very nice. Her room is nice, big, and clean. The dining area is clean. She gets good healthy food. There's always staff members around. What I've eaten has been good, and the menu has a good variety. They offer everything from assisted living to total care. They have music come in, exercises, different churches come in, there's puzzles, coloring, and crafts. I haven't had any problems yet. I love the facility, and it's a good value.

Cedar Crest of Silver Lake was a nice facility. The one room we looked at had a really nice view over the lake, but that one got taken before we could get in there. The staff was fine. The administrator showed us around. Everything was fine. They have a patio that the residents can go out on. The facilities were nice. The few staff members I met were friendly.

My mother moved into Cedar Crest and was there for two weeks before she passed. It was a very nice, fairly new facility. The people were very friendly, very thorough, and very helpful. I had no complaints about the place at all. They were very accommodating and went above and beyond in some cases. I walked by an activity room and saw them playing bingo or something. They looked like they were having a wonderful time. We had lunch there, and the food was very good. Her place was very bright, and it felt like a nice, little, home.

Damon was at the door to meet us when we arrived for our appointment. He gave us a thorough tour, and we had opportunity to visit at length with the head nursing team to see if they could provide the level of care my mother needs. We were very impressed with the facilities; they are very clean, new, and sunny. It felt more like a home than an institution. And we liked that they can provide care all they way to the point that my mother passes (hospice care). They said they cannot provide ventilator services (which my mother doesn't need, so that's not a problem for us).

My mother lived at Cedar Crest and was nervous about moving out of her home. Cedar Crest accommodated us in every way. She met and made friends right away and plays bingo. She loves the food and the companion ship there too. I would recommend them for anyone who is in need of care for their mom, dad, or grand parents. They are super resourceful with county questions and answers too.

Cedar Crest in Silver Lake is a newly built facility in Silver Lake with a lakeside view in most of the 40 units. Housekeeping ,laundry, barber and beauty shop with three meals offered daily as well as snacks and coffee. There is continuity in the care personal. Find that the elderly or memory impaired love to see a familiar face to help them with personal care. This is why Cedar Crest is rated a four in my book. Thank you.
