My parents have moved into Cedarbrook of Northville. My dad is in memory care, and my mom is in independent living. They have a lot of good entertainment for the residents. The dining is nice. The whole building is very nice. The staff is nice and friendly. My dad likes the food, and it looks very nice. The facility is very clean. I think it's only a few years old. I don't think it's that old. There's a lot of good entertainment and different activities for them to do. It's a very friendly, happy, clean place. The dining area is very nice. The courtyard is very nice. My dad has a window that he can see out in there, at least in memory care.

Cedarbrook of Northville offers outstanding care, and I think they are the best of all the facilities I've seen. They have a greater number of staff per resident, and their activities are pretty impressive. My mother is in the memory care unit, and it's beautiful. It's very well decorated, well-appointed, and very stylish. So, it makes visitors and us feel comfortable when we go in. It feels homey, clean, crisp, and up to date. The staff is also outstanding. They show genuine concern for my mother and make it a point to get to know her and look out for her. On her first day, they even brought everyone to meet her. We've just been impressed. I've seen some art stuff going on, but the one that seems to appeal the most to my mother is music. They bring musicians in and just use music a lot to get them entertained or engage with them. You really get the best quality of care and environment. To me, it's well worth it.

My aunt and uncle are in Cedarbrook of Northville. They had a 2-bedroom, like an apartment-type room. And then my aunt's dementia has progressed significantly, so now they're in the assisted living in the studio. Cedarbrook is a very, very large assisted living community, and I think my mother gets much more personal care at a smaller facility. So with my aunt and uncle, my cousins seem to be pleased, and they've been there now going on four years. My opinion of the rooms is that I thought they were okay; I wouldn't say that they were spotless. I would say nothing extraordinary. It looks like a resort, so the setup is very nice. They have different dining rooms, they've got like a wine cellar, they have a little cafe if you just want to get hamburgers or hot dogs or a juice box. They have a lot of different amenities. Where they are in memory care, there are limited activities that they have because they've got to keep the floor secure. The staff that I met were nice. The building itself is very new, it's a very new facility. They play cards, music, a piano player or musician comes in.

Cedarbrook of Northville was a very high-end, hotel environment. They have their bar, and they have their movie theater. There were a lot of amenities. They have really big rooms. Even their smallest room was really big. They're nice people. Everybody I interacted with there was very nice. I was there during mealtime, and everybody seemed to be enjoying it. It looked like everybody was having a good time. The only negative was that they were quite expensive. It's got all the amenities you could ever want and it's new as well. They have assisted living, independent living, and memory care.

My mother has lived at Cedarbrook of Northville since it opened in 2017. She started in independent living and transitioned to assisted living. The building and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Both apartments look terrific and have everything my mother needs. All of the staff, from the front desk clerks to the maintenance workers, kitchen staff and direct caregivers are wonderful. Although there has been some turnover due to COVID, the management does a great job hiring competent and caring staff members. Before COVID, mom participated in many activities including flower arranging, exercise classes and card games. We couldn’t be more pleased with care and standard of living provided to our mother at Cedarbrook of Northville.

On the plus side the facility is clean and the building is newer. A few of the team members are polite. engaged and responsive. Alternatively, It is quite costly (for services rendered), staff turnover is very high, communication updates are not consistent, and planned activities are not as described on the tour. The guided tour suggested there would be much more engagement with the community.

Cedarbrook of Northville was beautiful, but it was a little pricier than we had wanted to spend at the time. The rooms were beautiful, they were brand new, and they had a lot of amenities right in the room. The facility was new so everything was updated, immaculately clean, the gardens were very well maintained, and the staff was extremely friendly. The dining area was very nice and the food was very good. They had a theater room which was great, too. The residents seemed to be very comfortable coming in and out of the door, and they seemed to know a lot of people there.
