Brookdale Northville provided my mother all the services she required over an 18 month stay. As she progressed, the required additional care that Brookdale was able to provide so there was no need to move her. The staff went over and above to keep my mom comfortable and happy. She loved the staff which remained stable with very little turnover.

I toured Brookdale Northville. I found that their floor plan for assisted living was different from all the other ones that I had seen. They had two floors, the first floor and the second floor. On each floor, they had ten residents and each of the ten residents would eat their main meals together. They had a living room and activities room for each group of ten that were in that area. They would have like 30 residents on the first floor and 30 residents on the second floor. They didn't have to go to the main room on the first floor. They could just stay in this area for each hallway. They have like six hallways each. It was very different from all the others. That was kind of interesting to me, that way the resident wouldn't have to go all over the place to find, say the dining room, or something like that, or the activities room. It was all in that area, so they didn't have to walk very far. The atmosphere is upbeat, very friendly, and clean. It seemed like they had a lot of activities. This might have been the same with the other places too, but one of the activities is brain health. I liked how they were focusing on helping the residents. The other part was exercise. They had like a certain exercise program that would help residents because they felt that if they had strong muscles or at least worked on their muscle groups and stuff they would be able to avoid residents having a fall or just help with their mental activity.

Brookdale Northville was beautiful and we loved it. Mom loved it, and it felt like everything about it was just perfect. The room that we saw was like being at home. It was just very, very welcoming, comfortable, and inviting. It blew me away. It was just really nice. Regarding the options that they offered as far as furnishings, we loved that you had the option to bring your own things, or they could provide them, or you could mix and match. That really was a huge plus. The way the dining was set up was extremely convenient. You didn't have to go downstairs to one dining room. Every floor had different dining rooms for different sections of the building. They had little stuffed animals that they can hold that are stress-relief animals. They let Mom hold one for a good portion of the tour, and it was just really wonderful. We were able to see some people out on the back patio playing bingo, and we got to see the library that they have where you can just sit in a nice, serene area and read. We saw the recreation room where they do their exercise. There were several activity options for her so she wouldn't have to do the same thing every day.

When we got to Brookdale Northville for the tour, nobody was around, but down the hallway, I could see three young staff ladies chatting with each other. Nobody came over to ask who we were or what we wanted. We were ready to walk out when the lady who was doing the tour came around and saw us. Brookdale Northville was much cheaper, price-wise, but the appearance of that common room in the front was tired. There are a lot of beige colors. It was not very modern at all. It struck me more as a look of a nursing home than a senior living place, but it was all very clean and the staff was nice. The size we're looking at, which was a one-bedroom and a living room, their kitchenette only had a small refrigerator and a microwave and that was it. So, the rooms were smaller.

Brookdale Northville is the first place we've looked. It was a small facility. It only held 50 people. The rooms weren't all that big, but I guess they're not going to be that big anywhere. It was pretty clean, and they seemed to have a lot of activities. We didn't see very many staff. They only had a small number of staff. The only one we talked to was the coordinator, and she was very informative. They had a salon. The gym was very limited, but they do exercises or something, they said, in the morning. The dining areas were all over the place. You could sit where you want, and it wasn't like a dining room. They had an outdoor patio.

We visited Brookdale Northville. The facilities were excellent and very impressive. It was a good tour. I got a lot of information and more information than my brain can absorb. I was given a folder also, so I could review everything. I have no complaints. It was perfect. The staff was very friendly, very helpful, and answered all the questions that I had. The grounds were beautiful, but the building was very cozy and comfortable. They had every amenity possible. I was impressed that there were smaller dining rooms for smaller groups of people rather than just a big giant area.

Brookdale Northville is an old place. It is not too old, but not brand new. It was more of a homey environment. It's a smaller environment, it doesn't feel like a hotel, and it feels more like home. I didn't get to try the food, but the food smelled good. All of the staff that I interacted with were very nice, very positive, and very easy to talk to. Some of the residents that I happened to speak with had only positive things to say. The rooms were small. They had an experience with my mom's disease, which was a positive. They have art classes, a hair salon, library, and stuff like that, but they don't have high-end amenities. They have what I would consider the basic amenities. It's older so it is not ultramodern hotel-like.

My mom has been living at Brookdale Northville for just over two years now. She is very happy and content living there. I know this because she tells me that all the time. Mom enjoys playing Bingo with her friends and going on numerous outings. The Activity Director is amazing. The staff goes out of their way to invite Mom to activities. I am very involved with my mom and so I see the caregivers on a regular basis and know firsthand that they are friendly and compassionate. The Executive Director is an awesome leader. She acts immediately on any concern we may have and resolves it to our satisfaction. The nurse is great and attentive and answers any questions we have. During the pandemic the staff at Brookdale Northville absolutely earned their "Heros Work Here" sign in the front of the building! Brookdale has gone above and beyond in assisting me with "virtual visits" with Mom. The Executive Director and her wonderful assistant Tamika have kept us updated every step of the way and we hope to soon be able to actually visit outside with our loved ones. The Executive Director was excited to tell me her plan and how she has everything in place for when we get the green light to go and visit! Before choosing Brookdale Northville I did my research and visited 11 other assisted living facilities. My sisters and I are so happy that we made the right decision for Mom. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Northville for your loved one too.

We had looked at several facilities and my parents lived at another facility prior to moving to Brookdale. The atmosphere was very caring and the facility was like a home, very cozy with plenty of space for visitors to gather. We hosted several family parties in the activity room. My mom had Alzheimer's and they were able to provide care for her while providing activities and social gatherings for my dad. I accompanied my parents on many of the lunch outings and was impressed by the individual attention given to each resident. Having my parents there gave us peace of mind and the staff felt like extended family. As a bonus, my parents were able to have their cat with them. During the COVID-19 they were able to keep the residents active and providing social distancing.

Brookdale Northville was really nice. The people were really friendly. The place itself was updated, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly when we were walking through. They were all saying "hi" to us. The activity lady talked to us and explained all the activities that they do. I saw a studio apartment and it was very nice. Brookdale Northville was really nice. It would be a really good place to go.

I toured Brookdale and it was very nice. It was assisted living, smaller, and was reasonably priced. They have entertainment once a week, and they have organized exercises for the seniors. It was phenomenal. The staff was very nice.

The rooms at Brookdale were very nice and large. The residents looked like they enjoyed doing what they were doing. I went to the dining room a couple of times and saw them eating. The staff watched over them and made sure they were eating. They were very courteous about calling back and checking in.

At Brookdale Northville, it is going well so far. They have been attentive to my grandma. There are a few things here and there like putting the laundry in the wrong spot and maybe not doing it on time, but overall, they are very nice. However, they did not have a memory care.

Brookdale Northville is conveniently located and so far, so good. They have a good staff. The food is improved. Their dining rooms are quaint in the sense that it is smaller, so that you're not 1 of 100 people trying to get food. It is bright and well lit, and that makes a difference. My mom has been there for about two weeks now.
