About King's Daughters Home in Midland, Michigan
Small home with a big heart – We can accommodate up to 30 residents in our assisted living. Thirty - that’s all. So if you’re looking to share your living space with 60, 80, or 100+ other people, then we might not be for you.
Royal treatment - Our high staff-to-resident ratio ensures that residents are pampered (yes, pampered, and we mean it). They are showered with attention, concern, and love.
Comprehensive care – A licensed nurse is on duty. We’re a private nursing home too! As life progresses, many of our assisted living residents move to our nursing care area.
Small town feel – We are conveniently located in a quaint neighborhood in Midland, MI near churches, shops, parks, and the Midland Community Center (pickleball anyone?).
Affordable, transparent costs – Typically, we charge less than other assisted living facilities, and most services are included (vs. add-on fees that could surprise you on your bill).
You might find us singing with a musician in the living room, socializing under the pergola next to the fountain in the courtyard (not during Michigan winters of course!), or gabbing in the beauty salon.
Activities are scheduled daily, and our goal is to have fun and learn something new every day. Residents can join an exercise class, attend a stimulating discussion of current events, compete in spelling bees, participate in a book club, and more. We also celebrate holidays and seasonal activities. Our volunteers assist with social events like afternoon teas, ice cream socials, bingo games, monthly birthday parties, and sing-alongs.
Faith and spiritual practice are important to us.
Devotions are offered in our chapel each morning, and area churches schedule visits and services for their members as requested. Our residents are multi-denominational, and we embrace a wide range of beliefs and practices.
Nonprofit and faith-based: We are one of the few nonprofit assisted living communities in Michigan. We put people over profits, and we embrace and celebrate all faiths!

I appreciated the tour at King's Daughters Home. I thought they were very good. The facility was older, so the room sizes were kind of small. I didn't like the rooms that well. They didn't have a shower for the patients or the clients in the bathroom. But I was impressed that it was very clean and seemed to be very well organized. It was a little more formal and kind of a mid-century modern in architecture, which I'm not sure my mom would have liked much. And also, there were family members there who had currently had residents in the facility, and they were very positive. The staff tried to answer the questions that I had and said they would get back to me about the questions if they couldn't answer them.

King’s Daughters Home is very good. It's a small facility with a total of 60 beds, and so far it’s been pretty good. There's a smaller size in assisted living, which has one-bedrooms, studios, and a couple of suites. The larger the room, the more it costs. They don't accept any type of Medicaid payment at all. It's all private pay. The nursing home part of it is also single occupancy and from what I understand it has the lowest cost in the state. The dining room is pretty decent. Assisted living and nursing home are separate. They do outings for the people that can do it. They try and provide aides for anybody who wants to go.

King Daughters Home has a very warm atmosphere, very pleasant, very clean, and they have the ability to inter-mix with one another. The living and dining area was pretty nice. I asked if I could speak to the staff because the staff has a different outlook than most, and it is always best to talk to the people who work with the residents one-on-one on a day-to-day basis, versus the people who work in the office, and I am very pleased with what I have seen.

Midland King's Daughters Home was just fabulous. The place was extremely well-kept. My mother got a lot of supervision and encouragement. There was good communication between the staff and the family. The food and the care were all excellent.
