My sister-in-law is at White Oaks. Everybody's on lockdown, but as far as we know and what she has said to us, they are taking very good care of her and they're very loving. It's very nice. We can't get in the room, but we can do window visits. There are no problems. If there have been any problems or anything like that, they make sure to let us know. If we communicate with them, they tell us what they know and are very happy to help. There's a bible class and meeting groups. I don't know what the staff does when they go in, but they've been really good about things and keeping them all safe. The food seems okay, she's pretty picky but she's good with the food. It seems very clean. We had a lot of friends who knew about this place and gave it very high reviews.

We toured White Oaks. What I liked about it was that it was very busy. There were lots of people around, residents, and staff. Kathy is the one who took me on the tour and she did a great job answering questions. She followed up as well. For the activities, I asked questions like, "I think my mom would need someone beside her if she went on an activity". So she told me how they would handle that situation. We didn't see any of the regular rooms. They have two sections that are for memory care, and they're nice rooms. They're big enough that you could have a twin bed, a dresser, a recliner, or a loveseat. They were big enough and clean. I like their place, too. I think the building was well-maintained and it appeared to be clean. I didn't see anything that needed to be done.

My mom lived here in 2022. I discovered she was out of her medication because of symptoms she brought to my attention for which I knew she had prescribed medication. I obtained her medication administration records and she had been out of multiple medications for 3 weeks. The problem was not corrected so we obtained in all 4 months of records - before and after our discovery. During all of those months she was out of multiple medications for days and weeks at a time. The administrative director told myself and my family that our mom “is not the only one” out of medications.

I felt like when I walked into White Oaks I was taking a deep breath of relief. It was such a relief because I knew I had found the right spot. It's clean, friendly, relaxed, and comfortable. Those were the big things that struck me immediately. Everyone was happy. I think the rooms were adequate. What most impressed me was outside the rooms. I don't want my father-in-law in his room. And so they encourage them not to be in their rooms. It's beautiful, and it's right in some vineyards. There is the company, Welch's, across the street and they make a lot of grapes, so it smells good. When I walked in, they were doing exercises, and before I knew it, the room had changed and they were playing bingo. But that was just a daily thing, then they do, I don't know how often, but they do excursions. They were going to go blueberry picking and they had gone fishing, so they did some nice excursions. They're going to the fair, they do take people out, and they also support the community. They've had meals brought in from the various restaurants in town. I was very impressed with the two activity directors who are also music therapy-based educators, and they work with memory care all the time. They do not separate the memory care patients, they put them right in with the regular group and it works great. They do have the ability to evaluate the memory care patient in a different setting than a nurse would see or any attendant. So I think it's wonderful. When you walk in, there are murals on the wall that are of the old-time downtown Lawton, and it's just beautiful, and they have memorabilia from vintage Lawton, like there's an old time post office box and they use it and there's an old street lamp and an old parking meter, and a bubble gum machine. There are just all these old pieces of memories from downtown Lawton. The employees were joking and happy, teasing the other residents. And I didn't see anyone sitting outside in a wheelchair slumped over, and there were no smells. There was nobody unhappy. It just was such a nice place. We hope to be very happy there.

Mom’s health journey had been rigorous during the four years leading up to her admission to the White Oak Memory Care program. Double digit ER visits and hospital stays plus 2 Nursing Home admissions. All were sadly unsuccessful in maintaining a pattern of stable health. Birch Hall Memory Care Unit proved a perfect fit for her! She loved the low stress homelike atmosphere! Most amazing of all, due to careful medical monitoring, Mom was spared the trauma of more hospital stays! Later with Hospice guidance the amazing staff tenderly ministered to her final needs!

Tessa takes care of my Mom at White Oaks and cares for her well. She coaxes her to eat and watches out for her while she is in the commons area. She also checks on her while she is in her room to see that she does not fall.

My 92-year-old father was a resident at White Oaks for 2 years before his recent passing, and I visited him at least once weekly during that time. I can't speak too highly of the quality of care he received while there. It is a lovely, well-maintained facility with a very "homey" atmosphere. More importantly, the staff--from the aides to the office personnel--are welcoming, caring, and compassionate. They have always been very responsive to my father's or my requests or needs. I've come to know, and become friends with a number of other residents while visiting, and they have also expressed their pleasure and contentment with White Oaks. I will always feel a great sense of gratitude and appreciation for the White Oaks community, and highly recommend them whenever anyone inquires!

We have used White Oaks for both respite care and long term assisted living. Our family is very grateful for the kind, considerate and professional assistance that our parents have received. From check-in, nursing, caring for activities of daily living, to food service we have found White Oaks to be a family oriented environment where our parents have been well served and the family is welcome.

We moved our father here after a disastrous experience at another facility. We choose White Oaks because it just felt so much better. Dad was only there for 6 months before passing, but we were so much more comforted knowing that he was cared for. The people there took great care of my dad and always answered my questions and got back to me in a very timely manner when I would contact them and I didn't feel like I was putting someone out; having a different experience at another facility made this very important to us. Dad was in memory care so it was not an easy transition for him, but we always knew he was safe and his needs being taken care of.

I don’t usually write online reviews, but the White Oaks Assisted Living facility deserves praise as an outstanding family-owned business. I live over 800 miles away and have been highly satisfied with my 87 year-old father’s care during the past two years. He loves the food, staff, and talks with other men at his dining table. The activities are very creative at this facility, with opportunities for learning, working together, and having fun. Dad enjoys the various music programs. Our reasons for choosing White Oaks include the low staff turnover, well-maintained and clean facility and the comfortable, home-like atmosphere. Residents appear well cared for and content. The recent addition of another Dementia care wing is also important if your family-member may need this care in the future.

Clean, safe, wonderful environment with plenty of activities and good meals. A very loving and caring staff with excellent living spaces. My 94-year-old mother is totally happy here. Her health -- physical and mental -- has improved over the last two years since moving into White Oaks.

White Oaks is very nice and very comfortable. We are quite pleased with it and quite happy with their care because they are taking good care of my husband. My husband is in the locked down unit. He has severe anger -- that's why he is there -- and they manage him very well. They monitor his medications. They help him bathe and gives him whatever help he needs. However, their food is not the best. Actually, the food is the only thing I complain about, but this is convenient, and he is content there. It is only 7 miles from my house, and everything is fine there. It is lovely there, and they have lots of activities that really help the days pass. He is happier there than he will be at home.

I liked the idea that White Oaks Assisted Living seemed like a family home. It made me feel really comfortable. The place was clean, nicely painted and well lit. Their rooms had different designs. I also liked the dining area. They had nice amenities where they had a little store where you can buy your supplies and they also offered good services. The people were very attentive, caring, and honest. It was good for people with dementia because they have a dementia lock unit beside the assisted living.
