Pomeroy Living Orion's people are very nice. The facility is new and clean. The staff is very helpful and the residents are very kind. They have arts and crafts, exercise, shopping trips once a week, offer movie nights, daily Happy Hour and a little putting green in the back. My mom is in independent living. It's kind of expensive.

My mom is at Pomeroy Living Orion. She has been there for a while. Her overall experience has been positive. The room itself is very nice. She's lived in more than one apartment and they're pretty new. As far as the quality of the rooms themselves, they're actually very, very good. However, right now, there are issues with staffing that they have. I don't think that was the case early on, but there's no question that they have some problems with staffing right now, including problems with maintenance and upkeep. I would describe the staff as very nice people. For the most part, the people have been very professional, and have been very friendly as well. It's just right now there's problems of having enough people. I have checked their dining area and I have had their food. The quality of the food has gone down I would say over the past three years. It's gone down, and then they've gone through a number of chefs. It has been a bit of a sore spot. The quality has gone down as far as the food. They have a lot of activities, but there's not as much for assisted living as there is for independent living. I supposed my mom basically is not in quite a bit of shape now as she was then. They have bingo games. They have a number of things that they do, but everything got interrupted with the pandemic. They have some outdoor spaces, some patio areas, and some gardens to try to keep up and all that, although one thing I will say about them is that there are no stores at all. There are no stores that people can go to, and I do think that that's kind of a minus for them.

One of the things we liked about Pomeroy Living Orion is there was no dirty laundry, any smell of urine, or anything in any of the hallways. It was real clean and well-kept. The rooms were nice and big. We liked the fact that there was a refrigerator and kind of a suite, even in the assisted living, and the people seemed very, very nice to their residents. They have activities available and some outdoor living areas, like a lower patio and an upper patio. So, it looked like they have different ways that the seniors can get outside in the good weather.

Pomeroy Living Orion is 4 years old, but it looked like a brand-new facility. The people were very very nice and accommodating, and the price was the best I've been offered. That's why my mom will go there. Then they even waived the initiation fee of $2,000. I've looked at other places, and this one is by far above the others. I met a huge amount of staff members. I met the women that are going to care for my mother, I met four of them, so I met them all, and they're all awesome (and I'm comparing them back to the women at Janisse Gardens where she was previously).
