I went to Majestic Care of Flushing. The administrator was nice. The room was very large and clean. It appeared they had a lot of activities for the residents. The room is empty. You have to bring your own appliances like the refrigerator and the microwave. They provide three meals a day. They have a lot of outdoor space. They have a courtyard.

Majestic Care of Flushing was very nice, but there were certain aspects about it that I did not like, so I won't be considering that as someplace I would put my father. They closed their kitchen because of COVID, and they have not reopened it yet. They are relying on food to be brought over from the nursing home wing, so they don't have structured meals. The rooms are nice, but they only provide a toilet and a sink for the bathroom. They have to go to the main hallway to take a shower, so I don't like that. The person who gave me the tour was wonderful, upfront, and honest about everything. In fact, the residents were all in the middle seating area waiting for lunch to be delivered, and they were hungry. The food wasn't going to be brought over until, like, 12:45 in the afternoon, so I didn't like that idea.

My uncle is going to move into Majestic Care of Flushing. The residents all looked happy. The place was beautiful. They got a lot of activities. They got like everyday activities and a big board going on of what goes on for all the activities for different people because they're all in different states. It is going to be nice. Each room has its own bedroom. The rooms are nice and big. They're not crowded, they're not packed in, and they're not all dark. They're nice. Each got the TV, the Wi-Fi, and the cable. They pay for their personal needs. It's close to me and it's only like 5 miles up the road. From what I've seen, their staff is good. There's enough of them. They're not spread too thin, and they all do their business. The maintenance looked all good to me. They got a nice salon in there, so that's good.

I recently attended the grandparents day cookout at the home. Most of the people that live there had families there with them. It was a really nice day with good food, music, and families. There was a lot of employees and their family that put on the cookout. Everyone was so friendly and we had a great time. My aunt loves it there. She feels like that is her home. She didn't want to move there at first so we are happy that she enjoys it now. The staff treat her so good and she likes the activities they do.
