I have to start with the staff, as they are the ones who make it all work, and are all important. Friendly, courteous, cheerful and willing to go the extra mile to make you comfortable and at home. The rooms are various sizes/configurations based on your need or desires. They, and the whole facility, are well maintained and up to date. Internet and TV channels are included, as are the individual heating/cooling controls. Weekly room cleaning is also provided. Medical staff is on site and available as needed, for both Independent and Assisted Living units. The food service has been recently upgraded. Three meals a day are included, and the dining room, which has linen table clothes and napkins, is open 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. A weekly menu is provided showing the specials for each meal and each day. There is also a separate menu always available should you desire something different than the daily specials. There are also many activities available and/or provided including lectures, special holiday events, and weekly get togethers which may include refreshments and entertainment. Cards games and puzzles and books are also available.

The family originally picked Autumn House in September of 2020 because of the nice facility and its convenient location. Initially mom moved into a one-bedroom, independent living apartment. After 16 months, we relocated her to the assisted-living wing, where she has been thriving ever since. Since she moved to Autumn House we have seen upgrades to the dining services, life-enrichment activities, and the facility itself, all of which is an indication of the focus on continuous improvement and continuing to offer a high-quality living environment. The residents have been wonderful and many are now friends to both mom and her family. Life is change, and Autumn House of Bloomfield Hills continues to evolve with it. The living experience has always been good and every indication is that it will remain so. I encourage anyone looking for a senior-living apartment to consider Autumn House.

My mom recently returned to Autumn House after a stroke. We were pretty sure we would have to move her to another facility. However the staff here have gone above and beyond to make things work for her. They are sincerely caring, kind and thoughtful. Outstanding. The only place I would have my mom live!

Everybody is friendly. The residents helps each other out in various ways. We express our concerns for one other when we haven’t been seen in the community. We have a greeting committee which is called the ambassadors committee that welcomes each and every one with open arms. The office staff was very helpful and and gave me a warm feeling about the building nine years ago. I can’t think of a better place to be!
