New Hope Bay has provided my mom with a great sense of community. She’s now engaged, active and thriving in her senior years. New Hope Bay staff helped her find friends, activities and develop a flourishing lifestyle. The staff is friendly, kind and ensures she is well cared for. This transition was a very difficult decision for my mom and a huge adjustment for her. New Hope Bay staff and nurses could not have made the transition better or easier. Her new living accommodations are spacious and beautiful. Our family couldn’t be happier with our decision to place our mom in New Hope Bay.

As a family have had lots of experience with New Hope Bay! My father in law was in the enhanced independent and then the full assist. My mom and dad currently live in the independent side and finally my brother lived in the assisted care … all were in the front building. The rooms are all well appointed with plenty of windows and large handicap bathrooms. My parents have a full kitchen and the assisted apartments have a kitchenette both have plenty of cabinets and appliances. All Food is included with assisted and breakfast only with independent ( although every meal can be ordered for independent for an additional cost.) Maria and her kitchen staff are very good and work with residents to provide varied, nutritious and tasty meals. I can t say enough about the staff who take care to learn every residents name and needs. My brother was only a resident for a short time but they treated him with so much love and respect and worked with us to make sure he had so many great experiences and our family made memories that would not have been possible anywhere else. On the independent side the residents all get to know each other and support one other along with many planned activities and rides to medical appointments and groceries. Chris, Sue and Ray make sure everyone is included in the fun! We toured at least 5 other facilities in and around Bay County and can t think of a better place for my parents or brother to live. Thanks New Hope Bay for being not just a facility but a home!

My mother has been at New Hope Bay for close to 5 years. First in assisted living and now in Memory Care. I cannot say enough positive things about this care facility. They check all the boxes for cleanliness, tasty food, attractive surroundings, spacious apartments and activities. Where they are above and beyond are the staff. The staff deserve the highest of praise for their caring and thoughtfulness and their consistent interest in trying to make their residents life the most fulfilling as possible. I feel that they take care of my mother as they would a family member. They work as a team, always willing to help each other.

My parents have been with New Hope Bay since April of 2021. My Dad lived in Assisted Living until April of 2023 when he passed away. My Mom has been living in Memory Care almost the entire time. Dad chose New Hope Bay and we all supported that choice. Caregivers are top notch. It is evident in everything that they do that their heart is with the residents. I couldn’t ask for better individuals to care for our parents. In Memory Care activities are geared around mental and physical enrichment as well as enjoyment. Daily activities keep my Mom’s mind busy and creativity flowing. Over the years staff have become our extended family. We couldn’t walk this stage of life without them. The facility itself is beautiful. Rooms are large and inviting and residents are able to personalize their homes. Many courtyards to enjoy the outdoors when weather permits. When you walk in there is always the smell of dinner, very inviting.

My father was in New Hope Bay. It's independent livinng, assisted living, and memory care. He started in assisted living and we had to move him into memory care. It was a new facility, so everything was nice. They had a very good activities program and they tried to encourage the residents to do the exercise programs that they provided. Everything was a very positive experience. However, they did tend to have sometimes staff shortages which could cause a problem with the ability to give the assistance that was needed. The caregivers they had were excellent. It's just that they oftentimes needed more. They could take you to the doctors' office, they had an RN on staff, they had a doctor that they could contact, and they took them out for outings. They had entertainment come in, a hair salon, and a movie theater. The amenities were good. The food was fine. The dining area was nice, and they had the tables set nicely. They served a variety. On Friday, they'd have fish. They would have pot roast, spaghetti, and soup, and they always had an option for chicken fingers or hotdog, just your basic type of meals, stuff you'd have at home, like potatoes and shrimp. What I liked the best was the room my father was in was like his own little one-bedroom apartment. He didn't have a stove or anything like that because he wasn't independent living, so he couldn't have any means to burn the place down, but it was nice because it was more apartment-style rather than a bedroom. It had a general gathering area like some of the assisted living have. The only thing that I liked the least about it was when they were short-staffed, but they were very good and very caring.

We chose New Hope Bay for my dad because we heard good reviews about it and it's close to where I live. He's in their enhanced independent living. It's a comfortable place, they've always got music playing through the hallway and they check in on my father periodically throughout the day. And if he should miss his breakfast, they'll be there at the door wondering why he didn't go to breakfast. And I think that's pretty important. The staff is very friendly. They have a code to get in the door over there, and they change it periodically and sometimes I forget it. So fortunately you see somebody walking through there, and then they'll come and open up the door. I think they change it about every other week. he likes the food very well, he says it's delicious. They have many activities but he doesn't participate in them. It's near the hospital and their restaurants. And it's across from Meijer.

We had a very good tour experience at New Hope Bay. It's relatively new and looks very good. It's very clean inside, and people actually stopped us and said, "You're going to like it here. You're going to love it here." I also had two friends that had been there. One is still there, while one got in and then got out, and he praised the place. The person who toured us was excellent too. Then they have a salon and a barber shop. It was clean and there wasn't anything that was out of place.

My mom moved into New Hope Bay, and it's cool. The staff is friendly, and my mom likes the place enough, and she's only been there three weeks, but it's still hard for her to be away from her home. There's a front building that's separate, that is independent living. People can come and go, and there are garages and things like that. The main building is assisted living, and when you walk in there's a big dining area. There are two separate wings off to the side and those were memory care. I know they do exercises, they have movies, they do cards and bingo.

We moved my parents to New Hope Bay almost a year ago. Every interaction with the staff since then has been positive and affirms our decision. To a person, everyone is kind, professional, and seems to genuinely care for the residents. Compared with our experience with a facility in nearby Midland, I can't recommend New Hope Bay strongly enough.

My mom has been in the New Hope Bay since the beginning of December. We chose this community because of its cleanliness and friendliness. They have helped her with everything, from getting her showered to getting her dressed. They set it all up automatically. They also evaluated her very well and we're just very pleased with the staff. When we had some Social Security stuff and we had to talk to my mom, they accommodated us by having my sister and brother-in-law tested for COVID. They didn't have to do that because they were closed, but they went in and were able to help my mom through her Social Security problems. For medications, they also helped us out with the renewal and they do all the medication delivery. They've just been very, very kind to my mom. Every time we've been there, prior to being closed down, the staff would always say 'hi', and were very nice to us. Even the maintenance man put all her pictures up because we couldn't be there. Her apartment has a refrigerator, cabinets, sink, a little closet for coats, and a living room. We're also able to get her a room where she could sit outside, so she had a door to go outside and walk. There's a bedroom with a large closet and she only has to walk 5 feet into the bathroom, so it's just right there. It's very nice. The dining room is nice too. They have the tables distanced and the food is better than where she was at, so that's a plus. She is able to get her breakfast delivered to her. They have bingo, a devotion, and a hair salon. The living atmosphere is very upbeat and very caring. From where she was and the services we had to add on, New Hope Bay is actually cheaper than just adding on services. I think the value is very good.

I looked at several communities in the area and found New Hope Bay the place that offered all of the services and amenities I was looking for. Spacious apartment, convenience of having a salon, movie theater and activities room always available to us and there is always something going on! The staff is always friendly and helpful and have become like family. If you are looking for a community that is beautiful and has a HEART! New Hope Bay is for you.

I have been to New Hope Bay on numerous occasions. It is a beautiful, state-of-the-art, top-notch facility. So importantly, I have also found that the management and staff are first-rate as well: friendly, caring, engaging, quick to please and committed to excellence. They make the residents' best interest their top priority. There is so much to offer to the folks who live there, allowing many opportunities for this chapter of their lives to be brighter. I highly recommend New Hope Bay!

My dad lives in an apartment that is like his old rental apartment, but care is provided 24/7. It has a kitchen, separate bathroom, bedroom, and living room/dining area, and is private. The staff is very friendly and have become an extended part of our family. They are very accommodating and my dad feels at home. They help him with his medicine, help him get to his appointments, and help him with daily tasks. We are very happy with the move for our dad, and we are glad he feels at home. He loves all the activities that they offer, and we are happy to see him enjoying this phase of his life with support he deserves.

My wife and I have lived at New Hope Bay for 2 years. We truly call this home! The staff is so friendly and hard working. The food has been one of the best parts, my wife loves the fact she does not have to cook anymore. Though there have been a few minor issues which you would expect the management took care of them right away. If you are looking for a community that really cares about its residents this is the place you need to be.

We have picked New Hope Bay for my mother. It is not big, but they pretty much have everything. They have a video room and an art room. Every day is packed with activities. The staff members are very professional, friendly, and informative. We had a meal there and food was good. We really like the rooms too. For memory care it is a nice spacious room for the price. They have all kinds of activities. The building itself is only two years old, so it is very nice. We are also happy with the cost.

New Hope Bay was in the process of building more rooms, but they had the biggest rooms of all the places I went to. However, it was very dark in there, and the lighting was very poor. It was a very large community.
