I simply cannot say enough positive things about their marketing manager Tracey M. Who moved heaven on earth to help us in placing my Father. I was so pleased with all this facility had to offer, but most impressed with Tracy . !!!!!!!!

About Prosper at Monastery Heights in West Springfield, Massachusetts
The Landmark at Monastery Heights has been completely restored and is now a beautiful senior living community, offering independent and assisted living as well as a special program for the memory impaired. Much of the Monastery's original beauty has been preserved; stained glass windows, the chapel, dining room and the large wooden doors & windows. The historic beauty of the stone building combined with 18 acres of magnificent ground have made the Monastery a true landmark of Western Massachusetts.

It looks like more of a place for living than a warehouse for dying. I just had a positive impression of it. The staff was engaging with the residents. The place smelled clean and the grounds were really nice. You have to furnish the room yourself, but they have a small kitchenette area with a sink and a fridge. There's also a twin bed. They have private and semi-private rooms. They have a restaurant for the assisted living community, but they cook the meals inside the dementia unit so they have a small kitchen in there. The menu looked good. I talked to one of the assisted living residents and I asked her if she liked it, and she said she loved her and would recommend it, so that's positive. It looked like the residents were fairly happy. It's in an old monastery, and they have a chapel since the place is religious.

My grandmother lived at Monastery Heights for almost 3 years and she loved it. She felt safe and cared for and really enjoyed the staff. The staff treated her like family and they always went above and beyond. She made many good friends while there and loved bingo and yoga. Her apartment that we decorated was bright and sunny and very charming. We were very happy and miss visiting the residents and staff.

My grandmother lived at Monastery Heights for over 3 years. It was the best choice we made as a family after her stroke. She had a very nice apartment and loved having all her own belongings in it. The community always had fun events that encouraged family to come and visit which she loved. The food was great and the staff and residents were amazing. They all called her Busha, which was what her grandchildren called her - and it made her feel part of a much larger family. I would highly recommend Monastery Heights!

We chose here because of their memory impairment component called Morning Star, and that's really what attracted me to it. The staff was outstanding, very caring and very attentive to my mom and to me and they made this experience so much easier for us. She is in a studio apartment by herself and it has a small window, a bed and a bath. The dining area and the food were excellent. She raves about how her day goes and her interaction with the other residents. She is improving considerably. I was impressed with them and how outstanding, Michelle, the marketing director is.

You could not find a more loving, nurturing place than the Morningstar unit for people with dementia at Monastery Heights, My mom spent more than a year there before she died and the care was beyond anything I or my family could have imagined,
