I'm happy to do a review for The Atrium at Cardinal Drive. It's not located as conveniently for my family, but I toured and spent a lot of time there, and I think very highly of it. It's a very intimate setting. The building itself is designed very uniquely so that residents have a view of everything they need like the activities, the dining, and their rooms. The way it's laid out is unique and provides a very secure setting for the residents in that they could never get lost down a hallway. I just love the design. I think it's unique, very thoughtful, and very clean. The dining setting is lovely, very welcoming, and very friendly. The way it's set up seems like a very nice social setting. I saw the menu, and the menu choices look appetizing, and the residents have several choices.

I went to The Atrium at Cardinal Drive. They offer memory care. If you need that level of care, they seem to have a good number of residents to caregivers ratio. It's a smaller facility and they had a good relationship with their residents. The rooms were fine. The administrators were very friendly. They have group activities according to their skill set. They have a separate crafting social space. So that's good. I believe they have an outdoor garden area for the residents as well.

The Atrium at Cardinal Drive was very nice. They have a lot of programs. I talked to one of the nurses there. They do not take MassHealth. It's out of pocket for that place. So it's a little expensive, but it's very nice. The staff were very caring and very nice. The condition of the place was very good. It was very nice, neat and clean. They gave us some snacks. They had a nice dining hall. They had entertainment. They had a piano, and they brought in people to entertain them.

I didn't really care for The Atrium at Cardinal Drive because they're all together, and there's no single bedrooms. I'm not comfortable with that place. Everything's very small. There was a state hospital that was closed, and that's the feeling I got from these people. Some of them were severely mentally handicapped (that was just my opinion). It seemed friendly enough and clean enough. The rooms were tiny, and they expected to put two people in there. The staff came into the room with the supervisor and me; they brought strawberries and cookies that looked appetizing. The people looked nourished, and it didn't smell at all.

The Atrium at Cardinal Drive is a beautiful place and the staff members are all very nice and friendly. I had a very good impression of the place, but it's too far away from my dad's house. I saw a room there, it was very clean, and very nice. It wasn't huge, but it's what what my mom would have needed. The appearance of the place was bright, clean, and modern. The staff member who gave the tour was very kind and really helpful.

The Atrium at Cardinal Drive was my husband's second choice for his Mom. The price was much higher than what we could afford. However, it was truly beautiful and bright. They had a salon and a primary physician who can see the residents regularly. The residents are able to keep that physician as their PCP. We did not select The Atrium at Cardinal Drive because of the price, but it certainly was beautiful and the employees were exceptionally pleasant and helpful.

We thought that The Atrium at Cardinal Drive was wonderful. The only reason we did not choose them for my mother-in-law is because of the cost. We cannot afford the kind of care that they offer. We wanted to choose them because they were more local to us, and it would have been a much better solution. I loved the things that were offered there. In fact, they do offer support groups on the first Tuesday every month. Everybody was very pleasant. I think the support from the woman who was the director that we met with, Alana, is what I liked best. She taught us a lot of different things about Alzheimer's and ways to handle them.
