My sister is in Daggett Crandall Newcomb Home. She likes it because it's a small place. She gets activities all around her, and she likes that. The staff seems quite hands-on there. Physical therapy was working with her when we were there. They're going to make changes to the room that's going to accommodate her. She said the food is better than the other two places she was at and they make sure she gets down to the meals. Nothing else interferes with the meals. Any doctor's appointments have to wait until after feeding hours. I saw their menu schedule. It looked pretty good. They have fish fairly often, which is something she was a little concerned about not having her vitamin D and fish oil. I can't compare it with everything else, but it seems the best that she has been in before and she's in better health right now because she has more attention. The staff seems good. The facility seems good. It's a little more expensive than we'd like, but she doesn't have to move again when she runs out of money. They've set up some type of schedule for that.
