My mother-in-law has been at Methuen Village at Riverwalk Park for a little over a week now. So far, I like it. They take good care of her. The place is really nice and they have little apartments. I love her room. It's beautiful with a nice little kitchen, a big bedroom, and a nice bathroom. She brought her own furniture. I've only met the head nurse and I liked her very much. We ate there the night we brought her in, and it was very good. They have a nice menu as well. It is a nice facility, but it's expensive.

We went to tour the Methuen Village today. It was very nice there. They have a lot of activities and a lot of things going on. It's a beautiful place right by the river. I like the atmosphere. The staff was very attentive, and they have a beautiful dining room. They have a lovely deck to go out on where they can sit and look at the river. The apartments are all new. They're beautiful, and they're light and airy. The bathrooms are huge with a nice walk-in shower. Even the studio apartments were nice, but we were looking more for a 1-bedroom (that's what my mom would like). The 1-bedrooms are better and nicer. They have a craft room where they do crafts, painting, and stuff like that. They have games and a movie room, where they watch movies. They have a lot of things going on there. They have a piano that someone comes in and plays. They also have a room for veterans. It's a lovely place. It's assisted living. They're a little bit pricey, but what they offer is probably worth the price. The staff we toured with was very nice and very informative. We didn't really get to talk with many of the other staff, except for Cherrie (the one who gave us the tour). She was very nice and very accommodating. With the food, everything is homemade. They don't have canned vegetables and everything is fresh. They have a great menu. They have two entrees to choose from each night. If you don't like either of those entrees, they have another menu that has some more choices.

I was just not really happy about Methuen Village's location, but once you get inside the front door, it's nice. I just didn't like the street it was on. The place was on the small side. The person who gave us the tour seemed nice and knowledgeable.

Mom is very happy at Metheun Village. She loves the staff, as they are very caring. She has her own very small apartment, but she wishes that the apartments were bigger, and that would be her main complaint. I haven’t tried the food, but the food seemed to be OK. Their dining room looked very clean to me.
