Our Mom lived at St. Patrick’s for a little over 4 years until she recently passed away. My siblings and I couldn’t find a better place for our Mom to have wonderful medical care, caring aides, social workers and nurses and other terrific support staff. Our Mom enjoyed the camaraderie of wonderful fellow residents. She was a very social person and St. Patrick’s helped to foster relationships between our Mom and other residents and staff. Especially during the COVID pandemic, our Mom stayed healthy and it’s all because of the hardworking and knowledgeable staff there. Mom’s final years were happy years because of the kindness and support of the wonderful staff and residents of St. Patrick’s. We will be eternally grateful to them all.

Dirty, and unprofessional. Request of such a water or clear towel not responded to. Individual respond to bell, say ok about request and never show up again.....multiple times. Request to see nurse etc not delivered. Literal screaming by employees to each other up and down the hallways at night. Ragged linens. Horribly uncomfortable bed!

The rooms are sweet. The CNA’s work hard and are kind but are overworked. For some reason there may be no treatment plan- although I was in a rehab section. The administration does not communicate clearly with the client. In fact, they may be deceitful or perhaps lazy at times? Not clear about this. Perhaps they have never experienced being immobilized and having serious pain. Very important for the patient or loved one to track the progress of the client. I was there at least a few weeks w no treatment plan - until the 2 weeks before my exit.

My father was at St. Patrick’s for nearly a year. The first 4 months he was in the rehab wing. Rehab staff was excellent as were the nurses/CNAs. The administration was difficult to deal with. His social worker did her best to navigate everything for us while remaining impartial. He was moved to the short-term wing. Again, excellent nurses/CNAs. Administration was again very difficult. Overall, the nursing staff looked out for him. They would bring to administration/supervisor’s attention but it was ignored. I had to follow up with staff continuously to make sure things were done. The chief medical staff/medical supervisor is off site and shows up in the early hours to review notes. Otherwise, he was inaccessible. Very poor communications between departments. My father’s room was unclean and very dated. They lost the majority of his clothes and told me, “that’s typical because we have so many patients.” They recognize their defaults but do not address them. They are very short staffed and can not deliver the services promised.

My mom had been treated for lung cancer and copd. I told the staff that my mom was very sick and weak and needed lots of bed rest. They insisted everyday that she dress and sit in the hallway. Her roommate was near death and so they moved my mom out into the hallway, moved all my moms things including her bed up against the wall so her roommates family could be together in the room while my mom was in the hallway. I told the staff this would probably kill my mom as she was completely exhausted from being up for hours on end. It did. She developed pneumonia within a few days of her roommates death from from being exhausted and she died within a couple of weeks. After the staff doctors told me she had about a week to live (if they took her feeding tube out, 2 weeks if they kept the tube in) I decided to move her to a hospice facility a few days before she passed so she could Rest In Peace. I gave 3 stars because mom had an earlier admission to St Pats where she was in a private room and was released after a month, and all went well then. I will always be resentful of St Pats for putting the needs of my mother’s roommate’s family ahead of my mom’s.

It's unclear how this center operates during normal times but they have been absolutely horrendous to deal with in 2020. They don't follow federal guidelines for visitation requirements (and don't allow visitations as frequently as required by law) and create arbitrary rules that end up restricting visits and our ability to interact with our relative at Lourdes. We understand that this year is hard for everyone but reasonable accommodations seem impossible. Dealing with this center has been one of our many nightmares in 2020!

A definite 5 stars for the Lourdes Memory Care Unit at St Patrick’s Manor. My 90-year-old mom is physically healthy but struggles with dementia. She lived with us for 14 months, which was a privilege and challenge, before we moved her to St Patrick’s about 7 months ago. The Lourdes Center is a 27, all female bed unit with private rooms and half-baths. (A few walk-in showers are down the hall) The unit is secure, quiet, clean and peaceful. There's a lovely outdoor garden/patio attached for residents to enjoy in the warmer months. We’re not Catholic, so daily Mass, nuns in habits and wall icons were foreign to us but became familiar very quickly. There is a monthly interfaith service offered for non-Catholics. What especially sets the Lourdes Center apart is that it is based on a social, not medical model of care. Numerous activities are planned throughout the day, along with outings for those able, to keep residents engaged. All are encouraged to participate but not forced to so. Because it’s a social model, residents need to be physically mobile and able to perform activities of daily living, such as feeding and dressing themselves, with minimal cueing. Residents with aggressive or behavioral issues are not accepted. Claire Henry, the director, is lovely and accessible. She and the staff helped ease the transition for my mom/family and is responsive to any concerns. My mom has settled in well, and she’s well looked after by a great staff. I'm fortunate to live close by so can visit almost daily with my little dog, who is always a big hit with all. I would absolutely recommend the Lourdes Center for your loved ones with memory issues.

My mother received excellent care during the time she lived at St. Patrick’s Manor. The dedicated, knowledgeable and compassionate staff gave her and my family great peace during a difficult time as her dementia progressed.

My dad was a patient at St Patrick's Manor from January till May when he passed away. The staff from administration, admissions, nurses, social service, as well as the nurses aides were so attentive to my fathers physical, emotional and spiritual needs. I am a nurse and was truly amazed the wonderful care they gave my father.

This facility by all outward appearances is lovely. The nurses and medical care are fair to good. HOWEVER it is so dramatically understaffed it rates a very poor score. Waiting over 30 minutes for a bed pan is inexcusable, very long periods with no response to a call button or 45 minutes after response to actually get taken care of is a frequent occurrence. There are abysmally meager physical therapy resources -- all of these give this place a FAIL in my book.

My mom has spent 3 or 4 short term stays here at St. Pats. The staff was extremely caring and the facility was well maintained. The PT and OT services were very good and they were able to get mom to return home fairly quickly. We would not request this facility repeatedly if the care was any less.

This facility should be shut down. The lack of care they give is elder abuse. They don't wash the patients or their hair unless a family member complains. Residents are left sitting in soiled clothing and diapers. This is what $500 a day gets you. The nuns make no effort to make sure people are taken care of properly. I am filing complaints with every agency that has any jurisdiction over them.

My mother was under the care of the sisters and their compassionate staff for 6 years. The negative responses sound bitter. The nursing staff, activities, medical professionals were outstanding, the home fulfills its mission, the difference most certainly is love at St. Patricks in Framingham.

Horrible. If Jesus knocked on the door, I'm afraid they wouldn't recognize him. Only interested in money and appearances. Understaffed and no quality control. Private rooms filled with clergy

Terrible facility...Nuns were mean and uncaring...My mother had a nut as a roommate who would say Hail Mary's all day long out loud...Room Mate was jealous and would pull my mothers earphones off...Mother had more visitors maybe that was why...Tried to get her moved but they said it was not possible at that time...Peeked in the dining room window one night and mother was calling for assistance and was ignored by staff...Mother was mostly blind and was scalded when she knocked a bowl of soup into her lap...I took her to my home for the last 6 months of her life...I never paid the bill and had photos of her scalded inner thighs in case I went to court...stay away if you love your elderly parent...time to pay back for their loving care to you as a child...Yeah it was tough, incontinent both ways, but at least she had someone who cared..........

My relative was in the Lourdes Memory Care Unit. The experience was less than stellar. There was a large turnover in staff that were warm caring nurses to a more regimented staff. I would not recommend this place for anyonne who needs special memory care. Honestly the more standard nursing home seems like it is run very well. The memory care unit is not. It felt very much like a prison than a warm environment. Ask a lot of questions and make sure you know what you are signing up for for your relative or loved one.

My mother was at St. Patrick's Manor for a few months and I was generally up to see her once a week. I also have friends who have been there for as long as 15 years, so I guess they were well taken care of. They have many activities like music, therapy, bingo, arts and crafts. They also have cook outs for the month of July if the weather is good. They held monthly meetings for the members of the family to keep them track on what's happening which is very important. The staff are well trained. They also have staff that does the laundry, fold the clothes, and brings them back into their rooms.

St. Patrick's is where I want to go if I ever have to be put in a nursing home. The grounds were beautiful. They also had a beautiful chapel. They had a quaint pub and grill that families could eat with their relative. The care the patients receive is unrivaled. The nurses see the patients more as friends than as patients. The nuns who run this facility hired the kindest nursing staff possible. In addition to the great care the patients receive, there are a plethora of activities that are offered. Now one must think there is something negative about this nursing home, but I have not seen one thing I did not like that the nursing home did. They truly try to make the best out of a bad situation. St. Patrick's also has an assisted living community as well, but my great grandmother never lived there, so I cannot give any comments on it. However, since the same nuns run this program, I believe that this assisted living community would be amazing as well. I could not give a better recommendation to a nursing home.
