The staff at Carmel Terrace Assisted Living seemed really nice. They had one-bedrooms that were a decent size. It just was a little bit more old fashioned. They definitely could do more with making it a little more modern, like there were heavy draperies and these big, long hallways. I didn't feel like it was the right fit for my loved one. Everybody that I met with there was very nice. The person that runs the place did a very good follow up. She's been there for a long time. I think it's a fine place. It was clean and their dining room had a big menu, as if you go to a restaurant. It was a heavy menu, kind of almost like a hotel restaurant as well. That was a little more formal than the other place that we picked. So, I don't know if that might appeal to somebody or not. The bedrooms were carpeted. Somebody was just moving out and they plan to replace them, but I just don't like carpet. People could have accidents, and I feel like a flooring situation is better for just overall cleanliness. That was a big deterrent for me.
