My aunt has been placed into Orchard Hill in Sudbury. I like their food, but my aunt does not. I also like that they have a lot of activities. They do serve 3 meals a day. They also offer bingo, board games, boggle, and crossword puzzles, and they have a van that takes people out for part of the day where they do shopping or they go on picnics to the pond. The staff is willing to listen to requests, but it doesn't happen overnight. Communication is definitely my aunt's complaint.

Orchard Hill was just top notch; I loved absolutely everything about it. The rooms were nice, the dining area was very nice too, and I only had raving reviews for everything about it. The value was just phenomenal, and it was very convenient.

Orchard Hill was a lovely community. It was the size that I wanted. The grounds were beautiful. Everybody was friendly. All their apartments were assisted living size. So, they were small. They had studio and one bedroom.

They are very nice to the residents. The food is good They provide activities and trips that are interesting. Interaction with the children from the childcare facility in the complex is always a treat. There is a beauty salon in the building. Close to grocery and department stores yet set back so that traffic is not a noise problem. Apple orchard and beautiful walking area. Laundry facilities are small but they offer laundry service and they are always cleaning the rooms.

The facility is very clean and very well run. My mom is in a single room apartment. She's very happy there. The staff is very committed and dedicated. They take care of my mother well. They did a good job in putting the place together. I can sense their commitment.

When we first walked in, there was a bingo game in session in the beautiful parlor. To my right was a grand library in what looked like nice polished oak. The dining staff was caring and attentive and the Director was delightful. I was impressed by how friendly and patient the staff was (especially the nurses). Later on, there was an ice cream social and we got to meet many of the residents. This did not strike me as a "nursing hom" whatsoever but rather a community. There was a gentleman that played the piano and several residents even got up to dance. The front window overlooks a sweeping lawn and the property is located in a quiet, wooded area. I was told that they take field trips from time to time and was comforted by the fact that they get out often. This is definitely a place I think my grandmother will be happy and healthy for years to come.

Orchard Hills appears to be a warm and inviting facility. The residents we saw were active in daily activities that are offered and while we were there lunch appeared to be served in the main dining area. Homemade meals is what was impressed upon us on the visit and from what we saw they appeared to be enjoyed by all. The grounds were also well kept with nice walking trails available for use as well as some lovely sitting areas outside. This location is nearby to a medical facility which helped put us at ease as to where my mother in law would get medical care if needed. While she is able to do many things still on her own and maintain her current home, seeing the units available and knowing that as life progresses for her that help will be available is great peace of mind. The staff we encountered generally seemed to really care about the residents and went out of their way to make the facility a home. The smaller size of the entire facility also is what brought us in to consider this location. As she is from a smaller town and knowing everyone in town, the smaller community feel is a draw. We got the impression that she would not be just a number and more a member of a family.
