Firstly, the aids were very attentive, kind, and care about the people they serve. The food is excellent. The nurses that I encountered were very nice as well. The room I was in had a giant window, and it was very spacious! There is a tv with cable, places to charge phones, and it is pet friendly. My little dog came to visit me 3 times. I have and will continue to recommend this facility to anyone needing a residence or rehabilitation!!

So very sad...our relative had been a resident of the nursing center for many years. Less than 24 hours had passed after her death and we went to retrieve an outfit purchased last Christmas as a gift, for her burial. Her closet had been emptied, which was fine. But unfortunately we were taken to the basement to search through bags amongst the trash for her clothing. She loved her home at Hunt, but this is unacceptable.

My Mom has lived at Hunt for 3 years. Whenever I walk in the door, I feel the warm, friendly atmosphere. To me, it seems that the staff does everything right! The entire staff-- including the kitchen staff, housekeeping crew, aides, nurses, physical therapists and administrators -- is kind, respectful, patient, and compassionate. There is enough structure to make folks feel secure and enough flexibility to deal with the unexpected. The staff clearly loves its short and longterm patients/residents. Their skill, common sense, good sense of humor, and fun activities add up to the type of facility where my Mom is happy. A recent renovation has spruced things up. However, the beauty that I appreciate most comes from within the hearts of the exemplary folks who work at Hunt. Joy B.

We were searching for a nursing facility to place mom in towards the end of her life. Her dementia had progressed to the point where we were unable to care for her at home safely. The staff we met were kind and very understanding of our situation and took the time to explain the services as well as their partnership with several hospice agencies when we were ready. We received a tour of the facility and all concerns about leaving mom here were answered without hesitation. We witnessed some of the activities that were going on and the residents appeared to be having a great time and laughing with staff. The facility was clean and the staff were friendly and approachable. We would have had no hesitation in placing our mother in the care of the skilled staff at Hunt however mom never got the chance and passed away faster than expected. Our family would have no hesitation in recommending Hunt to anyone.

my grandmother recently went to hunt for rehab as we desperately wanted to get her out of a horrible rehab she was in. The staff was very welcoming and made us very comfortable her first night. We were comfortable leaving her that night. The motivation from staff to get my grams home was so encouraging to us that she might be able to come back home. I met a series of people from the amazing social worker that worked so closely with us, caring humorous nurses that kept smiles on our faces, and other family members experiencing the same situations. Rehab was great, Chris and Amy kept us updated multiple times a day on grams physical and occupational therapy. At the other facility Prior, we never met her doctor, Dr. Elmi met with us personally and had amazing bedside manors. My mother really enjoyed him and cracked jokes with him which was refreshing to hear as I saw she was happy. The nurse practitioner had multiple meetings with me my mom and multiple aunts. She was able to get my grams off so many unnecessary meds. I was very impressed with the greating my mom, aunt, and I got when we came in to tour. The administrator Ken came out of his office and introduced himself which I found impressive. The socialworker set us up with a great VNA Alternative home health. Grams is doing so awesome, the best we have ever seen. We owe it all to Hunt and all her after care providers that have kept her thriving in the community.

Do NOT subject your loved ones to this joke of a Nursing Home. The Nurse Practitioner, Debbie, is clearly not qualified to be in charge of these patients. My father's sheets are often covered in feces and not changed until I tell someone. I'm supposed to be notified if he falls. I've only been called once out of a dozen times. It's extremely rude having a large amount of the staff speaking in Spanish or other languages while in front of the patients and families. Some of the RN's are truly wonderful, as are a couple of the aides. I fully blame Hunt for my dad's amputation. I was the one who called them demanding he be sent to the hospital after he sent me a picture of his foot. I spoke to the NP and asked if she had checked on my father yet. Her response was that her hip hurt and she hasn't wandered down the corridor yet. Whenever there's a medical issue with my dad, her response is always the same. It's because of his chemo. His oncologist strongly disagrees. At first I was very happy with this facility. Over the last year I've been met with disappointment after disappointment. God forbid you ask a nurse her name when you call with a complaint. She'll tell you she's the Supervisor and that's all I need to know. Well everyone, her name is Wendy!!!! She's rude, inconsiderate and awful to deal with. I'm trying so hard to get my father out of here. I'm stuck because he doesn't want to leave and he has all his faculties. Choose elsewhere!
Never ever again

Truly despicable conditions, a non communicative staff, (we NEVER met to discuss goals or therapists) spotty therapy and "skilled nursing" that consisted of lining patients up in front of the nurse's desk and arming their wheel chairs with alarms. My mother would have convalesced better in the woods nursed by wild dogs. Condemnable on all fronts.

upon my arrival at this facility,I was hit with an awful stench of urine,i could not believe my loved one was living here, I instantly felt I was in a third world country,. the clutter,,the mess,,the disarray,everywhere....over a 6 week period I visited my dad as often as I could, and each time he was in worse condition than the last..a frail, handicapped elderly man,was not handled with care, love,or the correct amount of attention needed for him.yelled at in middle of the nite, manhandled out of bed while he screamed in pain, even threatened at times....my poor dad spent the rest of his life like this, and this place could not even get the tv working properly,in the 6 weeks he was there before his untimely death, think people, think long and hard before u bring a loved one to this third world country nursing home, because my dad is gone now, and he will not be coming back,

I would have to recommend that you avoid this facility as my family went to visit a dear neighbor who was there and they treated her unfriendly and the elderly people were out in the hallway asking when their dinner would be ready... It seemed more like an understaffed hospital than a nursing home... It was not inviting, welcoming, or friendly in any way. There were no nice dinnerware, just a tray with hospital like atmosphere. The staff were busy writing and didn't acknowledge that I was even talking to them... Thank goodness I called her brother and he took her out of there and brought her to a great, loving environment at Brighton Gardens of North Shore in Danvers.
