My husband moved into Country Center for Health and Rehabilitation. I chose it because it has a good reputation. Right now, he's in a room by himself. But there is another bed there that's not occupied at the present time. The cleanliness of the place is excellent. They have activities, they show movies, they have people come in and they have sing-alongs. They play bingo. They have socials where everyone can gather. The food is excellent, probably better than he gets at home. There is room for improvement in the staff, and they seem to be shorthanded. The people that I get involved with are very, very helpful. But sometimes when my husband asks for something, there's a long period he has to wait before it's done.

My mother is at the Country Center for Health and Rehabilitation Newburyport. The upkeep and the cleanliness are above average. She shares a room with another woman. They keep the room spotless. It's always in great condition. She is there for rehab, and she gets the minimal amount of physical therapy. I don't believe that she's getting enough, and I don't know if it's because they are short staffed or what. I think that she could have improved if they had spent a little more time with her. I believe that the rehab is on the first floor, and so that's where my mother is. I think that the nursing home itself is on the second and third floors where they would offer activities for the people that reside there in the nursing home. The food seems okay. My mother is happy with it.
