Our brother Charles was a resident of Parson's Senior Living in Salisibury, MD from June through September of 2023. The facilities are older, but rather grand, old world and stately. High ceilings, lots of meeting spaces and a large wide front porch made the home very inviting. And the staff was awesome, in a very challenging environment Everyone had a smile. Everyone said Good Morning or Good Afternoon. They were skilled, caring and personable. And the staff worked with my brothers, sister and me to make Charlie's stay as convenient and comfortable as possible. Thank you Parsons! Really well done.

John B. Parsons Assisted Living Community was OK. They did not know I was coming for an appointment, but they handled it well. It was more of a residence as opposed to an institution that some of the others were. I found that the hallways were long, and maybe that had more to do with me being tired than anything else. There were several areas where groups of people could sit and talk. Quite frankly, I see hardly any people out and about. It wasn't as welcoming as the other facility I had been to, but it was OK. The woman at the desk said, "Let me go upstairs and see if so-and-so knows that you're here." When she came down, she said, "She'll be down with you in just a minute." Then when the woman came down to lead me on a tour, she apologized. All of that is good, but it's a different kind of vibe. The dining room was medium-sized.

We really liked the beautiful historic building, but were very disappointed in the resident care. This facility was very short-staffed and the patients did not get the care that they needed. Many times I would stop by to visit during a scheduled activity for the patients and they would have only one aide going back and forth to get patients who needed help with transportation, but the rest of the staff would be there, for example, eating ice cream at the social. There was only one aide covering the entire memory unit for at least one month. There was only one LPN nurse available during the day (not an RN), and none available on evenings or weekends. The medication list was incorrect (extra sedatives on it) and the doctor there had been in trouble already for over-prescribing sedative drugs to keep patients quiet. A horrible experience.

Harrison Senior Living - John B. Parsons Community was not a good fit for my mother. But the people were kind, answered our questions, and gave us some homemade blueberry scones. We saw the dining room and the menu, and they told us about how it changes, and they told us about the activities. The apartments were very nice and clean, and there were different levels for different needs. It's an old facility.

John B. Parsons Community had nice grounds. The community was clean, and the dining area was nice, airy, and open. They were having a Superbowl party when I was there and everybody had their team shirts on. The staff was very courteous and helpful.

My mother moved into Harrison Senior Living. The place is beautifully decorated, and the people are very attentive and friendly. The room is a little small, but that's a good thing for her.

Harrison Senior Living - John B. Parsons Community is older, but has a very homey and cozy feel to it. I liked it and it appealed to me. The staff was very nice. It was a Sunday and there was a church service going on in the basement. The amenities were limited. There were little sunrooms, but there wasn't a real outdoor space, which my parents would have liked.

Harrison Senior Living - John B. Parsons Community was nice and clean, and the food was very good. It was an older building but very pleasant. The staff was excellent, congenial, and very informative. They had a salon, a barber shop, and a TV room.

The facility is clean and beautiful. The staff took amazing care of my father. They went above and beyond what I ever thought a facility would do for him, my family and I couldn't be happier with our decision.

This assisted living provider was and still is very wonderful to my family. They take pride in making sure every resident is well taken care of and has an opportunity to live as they like. The staff was warm, caring and very patient. The facility as a whole was very groomed and well maintained. Throughout the week they hosted fun activities and events for the residents to participate in. My grandmother is never bored. Even when my grandmother had an injury and wasn't as mobile, the facility sent someone by to check on her often. In my opinion they went above and beyond their call of duty. The best part of this facility is the dining in my opinion. My grandmother and I didn't quite expect such a delicious food display but we were pleasantly suprised. They have some of the freshest fruits during the summer time. This facility has been nothing else but positive in my opinion and my grandmother's as well.
