Commonwealth Senior Living at Salisbury is a beautiful place. The units are brand new, so there's nothing to complain about. The staff members were all very kind, patient, and very helpful. The food is good, the area is wonderful, and the place is very clean, and everybody is very nice. No complaints there. We have people there, and they go there intermittently when their folks go on vacation and they need a place for somebody to look after them. It's great, but if you really need help and you need more than just being independent, then you just have a room to yourself, and that is not what we're looking for this time.

My sister will be moving into Commonwealth Senior Living at Salisbury. It was lovely. We really liked it. The people were wonderful. The facility was beautiful. I loved everything about it. The people that helped me place her were kind and wonderful. I can't say enough about the place. We even had lunch there and it was delicious. Everything is clean. It's brand new. The help was wonderful. If it was me, that's where I want to be. The staff is great, very accommodating, and very knowledgeable. They had great information. We saw lunch that they were serving and it looked really good and smelled good. The rooms were nice-sized. They have a double bed in there with a dresser. It's got a little chair in the corner by the window. It was really nice. It was brand new. They helped us on what to bring and they set the whole thing up. They were there when the delivery came and they had it set up. They have it down pat, with the music. They keep them calm. There's an area where they can sit and watch television if they didn't have one in their room. They had a game area. I felt like my sister will be safe there, and I think she might be happier. They have a spa room where they do the bathing. It's beautiful and kept and they have like a tub that you can walk into. It has a large shower. They get showered three times a week. They have a quiet room where if people get nervous or upset, they take them to a room to settle them down. They have games and music. Hopefully, it's going to be good for her. They color and they play bingo. It's not far from Salisbury Mall, 15 minutes at the most. The dining area in the memory care is nice, but the main facility has a lovely dining room. They even have a beauty shop. The staff was wonderful. Even the workers there, like the servers, were very nice. We went three times. My daughter and I went, and then my husband, and he really liked it also. I wasn't going to put my sister in someplace that I didn't feel comfortable. I looked at a few places, and this one was my favorite. I highly recommend people to look at this if they have a sibling or a family member that's going through that.

Commonwealth Senior Living at Salisbury was a very nice facility. We met with a girl who did the intake, and she was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. The site itself had gone over some reconstruction, so it was really beautiful. We got to go into the memory care unit and it was very nice, very private, and it had locks. They showed us all the safeguards to the facility. There were places throughout the whole facility where there were TVs. If you want to stay all night as a family member, you can, and I thought that was very nice.

Commonwealth Senior Living at Salisbury was very clean and very nice. The director and the people were very cordial and well-mannered. Seemed like they cared about everything. It's a very nice facility. They just opened up a new section there, I think, two months ago and they showed me the rooms. They were also very nice. I was very impressed with them. They had a barbershop/beauty parlor where a person comes in once a week out there to give the people haircuts. They had a nice area, kind of like a bar, and meeting rooms. They had very good amenities and they had things going on. They had a trip once a week to take people to some facility for food or this or that. It was A-class. Everyone I met there was very cordial and very nice.

We went to Commonwealth Senior Living at Salisbury. I liked the facility itself more so than the staff or the location. It's a fairly new facility. The rooms seemed smaller than the ones at the other place. There weren't as many varieties of rooms, the staff seemed less involved than at the other place, and the location wasn't as good. It was on the edge of a community and it wasn't next to a park or anything like that. I was impressed with the food and the menus that I saw. We got to talk with the chef. They had a patio and a garden.

My friend moved into Commonwealth Senior Living at Salisbury. The facility is very beautiful and clean. The personnel are very, very efficient. The rooms are fine. They are very clean and spacious. So far, I've had no problems. They have music, outings, games, videos, bingo, and all kinds of things. The food in the dining area is excellent. It is a very well-organized dining room with tablecloths and a complete setup.

We're on the waiting list at Commonwealth Senior Living at Salisbury. They said they did not foresee anyone leaving, but they are building. They just got approval to build more cottages and they will be finished by July of 2023. We like it a lot. I don't know of any place around that would be as affordable in this location, we like or better than what that is, and we could get into sooner. Right now, we feel comfortable with that. It's just perfect for us. It's exactly what we're looking for. I like the three levels of care. You could go into independent living in a little cottage or if you needed assisted living, you could go to a larger building with apartments, and then there's a memory care unit should you or your spouse need that. I liked that the three levels were all there together, and I like the independent living because you could get it without a garage, but we like the option of a two-bedroom, two-bath, and one-car garage. It's about 1300 square feet. It's easy enough to manage, clean, and take care of, but not so small that you're bumping into your spouse every time you turn around. Most of them have a little sunroom, which is nice, too. It's a real bonus and it was laid out so well. I told the woman who was living in the apartment we saw, "It's as if someone said to me, design what your ideal senior living situation would be," because there was a kitchen cabinet for storing food and staples. You didn't have to use one of the kitchen cabinets. There was a large vertical storage area. It had a laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer and a stationary tub. The bathrooms weren't huge, but they had a nice shower so that if your mobility gets more difficult, you could easily put a shower chair in there. You weren't stepping over a tub to get into a shower. It was pretty flat, so as your situation becomes a little worse, you still would be in a place where you could live and be able to take care of yourself. Of course, they do all the maintenance on the place and the landscaping and cutting of the grass. You don't have to worry about it anymore. When they get the new assisted living building and the new cottages, they hope to offer a meal plan for independent living. Right now, they do not have any kind of meal plan, but they are anticipating that you could have some meals in the dining room, so you didn't have to cook every day, which would be nice. All of these things were exactly what we were looking for right down to a tee. We didn't get a full tour. We didn't get to see any of the assisted living or the memory care unit rooms because of COVID. The staff during the tour was very positive, very friendly, personable young woman, very nice, kind of reassuring, "We'll put you on the waiting list. I'm sure something will open soon." She just was very good about the whole thing. However, a couple of times, she'd say I will call you on such and such a date and she didn't. She didn't always follow up. I was having to call her. The apartments were very nice and very nicely laid out. They're a little bit older, but they're redoing them. If someone moves into assisted living and has to give up the cottages, they completely redo them, so that they all will be very nice and new when you move in.

We loved Commonwealth Senior Living at Salisbury. The place is immaculate, which would probably explain why it cost what it does because everything's top-notch there. The place was like walking into a resort. The rooms were all good size. They had a microwave and a small kitchenette there, but they provide all your meals anyway and snacks 24 hours a day. There was a library, a video center, plus sitting areas; they had at least six activities that my mother could partake in each day. They've got a snack bar, they've recently set up a hydroponic growing center there, and they have a place available for them if they wanted to do a barbecue, they could do that. They have a lighted area where they can sit out at night if they like for a while. And if they want to celebrate with family, they also have an area set up as a formal dining room for them to have family in there for activities, or a birthday, or something.

I visited Commonwealth Senior Living at Salisbury. I liked that it was a one-level floor and it was a smaller community with only 40 beds. I went to see the assisted living side. The staff was very friendly and personable. They had a dining hall, a hairdresser, a laundry room, and activities for the residents. The place was immaculate and very well taken care of.

We were looking for maintenance-free independent living for my 100-year old mother who still drives and lives by herself in a single-family ranch-style home on an acre of land. We had visited Commonwealth first and, after visiting several other properties, realized that she preferred single-level cottage-style apartments with relatively few neighbors vs. high-density multilevel apartments. We are on the waiting list and looking forward to transitioning Mom into an independent living environment comparable to her current situation.

Commonwealth Senior Living at Salisbury was a warm and friendly environment. They seemed to be genuinely concerned for the residents. It's just very pleasant and very clean. It was a good experience. We had a good feeling. My sister was very much interested in that. The rooms were very nice and adequate. We looked at the rooms in the assisted living in the main building, and then we also looked at the cottages in the independent living. I had no concerns with it. I know they've recently renovated not too long ago.

It was immaculate, open, had a lot of light, and everything was clean and neat. It was a beautiful place. They had all kinds of games like bingo and entertainment. The room I saw was very nice. It was medium sized and had a TV and a nice big bathroom and you could get a wheelchair in there. The staff was excellent and showed us everything including the dining room and a nice big game room.

It was very nice. The representative was very informative, patient, and attentive. It was very clean and affordable. We looked at the individual houses, which were very roomy and attractive. They had activities to participate in. The eating area was very appealing and clean.

It is a rather small facility, but very pretty. It’s airy -- suitable to the country setting -- and I was really impressed. The part that I was looking at was assisted living; they had cottages, but there’s a waiting list.

It's only been six days since my mom moved in. She's happy there, the staff has been really good, they're very obliging when I call and ask for stuff. They help her with her medicines, all her meals, clean her room and coming together for events.
