My mother lives in this community and although it was the hardest decision that I had to make it was also the best. My mother receives the care and time that was almost impossible for me to give being as though I work fulltime. The staff are so helpful and just all around great, we truly feel as though they have become apart of our family. This is a small community which is wonderful because it allows my mother to get the attention that she needs.

My parents lived at Heart Homes. It was nice and clean, but they provided horrible service, and the staff was very untrained. My father is a diabetic, but they never put him on a diabetic diet, and he had to go to the hospital three or four times for high sugar. They were very unprofessional. There was no menu for anyone, the food was store bought and microwaved, and there was nutritional plan. They made beaded necklaces, which my mother enjoyed very much, and they had a Christmas party that the families were invited to. They mixed my parents' clothes up and they couldn't find their brand new comforters when we moved them out. They had 16 residents and only two staff members, and these are elderly people who can't do things for themselves, so they only shower once a week. It's a nice facility, but the people were not trained. They would bring in outside people to do activities, but there were none from the staff who were involved. The residents sat in front of the TV or lay in their rooms and just looked up at the ceilings.
