My mom lived in the memory care section at Regency Park. She came from a different assisted living in Laurel, MD. My mother THRIVED while living at Regency Park. She loved all of the care staff that took care of her. The kitchen made special meals of what she personally liked to get her to eat more. They had individualized activities for those in their Dementia care unit - I just wish they offered a little more with the activities in the memory care unit. Not everyone can play bingo or do puzzles. I recommend Regency to anyone who is in need of assisted living or memory care.

I liked Regency Park. It was bright and they had a lot of things to do during the day. Everybody that we met was nice. The tour director was a little loud, but she was OK. She gave us the information we needed. They had a game room, which was fantastic. They had a card room and several living rooms.

I went to Regency Park. It's not going to be on my list. The lady, Kathy, was very nice, and very friendly. The staff was nice. I just didn't think my mom would fit well there. It had a bad smell when I walked in. The rooms were too small, and the decor was very old looking, like from the 1960s. It's like nothing has been updated. Kathy answered all the questions I had, regarding the meals, and the level of care my mom could receive there. She introduced me to some of the staff members. I think the dining area was adequate for the size because it was a small building. And the people seemed to be enjoying their meals there when I saw them. I think the facility needs an update, the bathrooms are too small, and it just needs a facelift, inside and out.

Regency Park looked nice, but I wasn't real thrilled with their memory care. It just seemed too crowded. They had very small rooms, and it was dark. The assisted living part of it looked really good. The pricing would have been a little better than what I'm going to be paying at the other place. They didn't have a spot available at that time in the memory care. They were going to try and make a room for me. They offered everything. There were lots of activities, and it was clean. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the memory care was a little too small and crowded.

The representative we spoke to at Regency Park seemed very knowledgeable. She answered all our questions and she even gave us some information we didn't ask for. She gave us a nice tour. The facility seemed clean. From what I could tell, there weren't any issues or red flags that bothered me. I think it just depends on the level of care that each person might need of whether that's a proper fit or not. She showed us apartments, and they were clean. They give people the option of whether they will furnish it or you can bring your own furniture in. I think that makes it accommodating for people so that they can make it more like home if they have their own personal belongings. I thought that that was a nice option that you don't have to have the furniture that they've put in there, unless you want to use it. They showed us their activity rooms and they have a library. They gave us a printout of the activities for the whole month. They gave us samples of the meals that they provide. They showed us the dining room. We pretty much toured the whole facility. With assisted living, you can have different levels of care, and we saw some people in there. Some of the residents were up and walking around, and there were others that were not very mobile, and with different degrees of help. Although my mother is 94 years old, she stays active all day long. It might be for somebody that needs more care than what she needs. I don't think it would be the right fit for my mother, but I think if something happened where she were to go downhill and be less mobile, and less able to take care of herself, I would feel perfectly comfortable recommending that place. A lot of the rooms sort of open up into a little living space. So, if you're out in that living space and people have their doors open, you can see in their rooms. There's probably not as much privacy, but for somebody that might need more care, that would allow the caretakers to be better able to keep an eye on the resident. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It depends on somebody's physical condition. It just depends on the needs of the person and how able they are to take care of themselves.

I enjoyed meeting the greeter at Regency Park. I saw that they were doing activities. They had a lovely dining room, and I knew that they were going to be pairing my aunt up with other women to encourage socialization at meals. It was great that her room would be furnished. It seemed reasonable, well cared for, and nice. They couldn't go out in the backyard though, but they could go out in the front yard. The room had just a bedroom and its own bathroom. They had music and everybody was gathered around in the little living room participating. The staff was lovely and pleasant. The menu had very good options. The facility was on a smaller scale.

My mom was as resident at Regency Park for just over a year. We found her care to be wonderful. They took care of any of my concerns quickly and were very easy to work with. The home like environment help mom feel comfortable along with the excellent meals. We found the place clean, cheerful and with out any of the odors which is very common at other places. They get the residents up and out to the common areas by planning activities all through the day. I highly recommend Regency park.

Regency Park was our first choice, but they have no availability. It's all on one floor. It's a small memory care unit, which is what we like. They have rooms for two people but not with separate bedrooms.

We would love to thank the staff for all their care and thoughtfulness during mom’s stay at Regency. Weeks to months, months to years, mom and our family realized how much love the staff exhibited. There are too many to mention, but you know who you are. Every day you cared for mom as though she was your own mother. Enough words could not be said about your display of professionalism and love for your job performance at Regency.

This is the most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. The nurses are not responsive to the needs of the residents and ignore you when you are trying to inform them of an issue. I would not recommend this place to anyone! I can not get over how rude the staff is on every level. I wish I could give no stars because they don't even deserve one.

Small bedrooms, seemed clean, spoke with the woman in charge of the building and she seemed a little arrogant, the prices were higher than some other places i visited in the area.

We have found Regency Park to be a beautiful, comfortable, welcoming place and the care seems to be upfront. We felt comfortable when we first walked into the place. It's very pleasant and very clean.
