The rooms are nice and clean, nursing staff to include the GNAs are extremely caring and knows their patients well. Always checking to make sure each patient is taken care of. I would recommend this facility if you are looking for a caring environment.

Please do not send your love ones here !!! They never followed instructions on my mom’s chart who was dying from cancer, I had to call every day several times a day at work to make sure they gave her meds. They never turned her tv on I went to visit her everyday she was there. When she passed they called and said she expired like a gallon of milk they had no sympathy or empathy.

I put my mom in a regular nursing home, Fort Washington Health & Rehabilitation Center. I chose them because it's convenient, and they have physical therapy, and she's in there for short- and long-term. The staff members are professional. They are sensitive to my needs and my mother's needs, and they're taking very good care of her. I have fed my mother, but I haven't eaten the food myself. The food looks good though. They have a calendar of activities, but my mother has not participated yet. They have bingo and arts and crafts. It seems they can get into the activity room. They have a number of things. They have trips that I found interesting. It's also near a shopping center. There's a hospital and there's a CVS pharmacy.

My husband's room was out date, smelled old/stell, big hole in wall along baseboard (they used a wide piece of weatherstrip to partcially cover it). Nurses are there for "show" not to provide service/care the residents need. My husband's requests for assistance getting to/from bathroom unabke to wall without assistance) was NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED. He fell twice trying to get to bthrm on his own because they wouldn't help him. His 2nd fall resulted in ankle/foot being badly injured and placed in a case. They failed to inform me of 1st fall, nor did they x-ray his leg/foot which I discovered was swollen when I examined it. I was with him when he fell the 2nd time and had to demand x-ray of his foot/ankle be done immediately (Nurse response was Dr. not on duty over weekend would have to wait until Monday and his approval) needless to say, she quickly understood that was the wrong thing to say to me. He then was transported to Hospital for x-rays (cast was need). Hygiene IS NOT IMPORTANT TO THEM. My husband's request to take a shower was ignored for "9- days" until I addressed the matter with them. THEY DON'T KNOW the IMPORTANCE to DISINFECTING a ROOM and a BATHROOM SHARED BY 4-RESIDENTS really is. The majority of staff always display plenty attitude when asked a question pertaining to their job/meeting the needs of their residents. The nurses station usually unoccupied, their missing in action. You know when they return because station become their social gathering place (very loud laughter and conversation. This is when they really ignor residents calling out for HELP. I truly feel for the residents there that don't have an advocate to speak for them as I do for my husband. This is just a small fraction of complaints that we've experince since his arrival November 18, 2023, and fingers crossed we hopeful he'll be discharged by the end of next week. THIS FACILITY NEED TO BE CLOSED DOWN AND THEIR LICENSES REVOKED FOREVER!!!

My brother has been at Fort Washington Health & Rehabilitation Center. To be honest, I don't like it at all. I don't like the attention that the nursing staff is giving him. The rooms are clean, but they're old. When you walk in it doesn't smell. The staff is nice but they are on their telephones too much. Usually when I get ready to leave around 8:00 p.m., there is nobody in the hallways and there's nobody at the nurse's station. If something would happen to those people, I don't know where the staff is. I try to be there when he has dinner and the food smells good, but sometimes it's cold because there's only one person bringing the food in. They'll come out with a monthly calendar of activities and they have a lot for the ones who are able to attend. They have games, music, and they have a TV in a room where the residents can go and watch.

My grandmother was in Fort Washington Health & Rehabilitation Center. The location was convenient for her family members, but as far as the care, they could make some improvements. It's an older building, it could use some renovations, the lighting is dark. The staff could also use some help. I don't think they were attending to the patients in a timely manner. I think there should be more attention to detail. The environment could be better. I think when you walk into a facility, you want it to at least smell decent. And I think that was one of my concerns because it's happened more than once. As far as visiting there, it's hard to even visit someone there. There's nowhere to sit, no space in the room. But I know they have, like common areas. But, at that point, it's hard to get people out of their beds. So you're kind of just left to visit them in their room.

This facility does not provide updates and staff have encouraged us to leave if dissatisfied! How insensitive!?!?

If you have an option, please do not send your loved one to this facility. My elderly father still has nightmares and shakes when he talks about this place. We had to pull him out after a few days. He said they treated him like a dog. They shoved food in his mouth, pulled on his sore feet and he came home with sores over his body. He cries every time he talks about this place. He did not receive any therapy and barely received medical attention. I never got a call to let me know what type of treatment he was getting or would get. I couldn't get through to him or a nurse most of the time that I called. Due to their staff shortage, visits were limited to 30 minutes. You had to choose the day of the week and the time. You could not visit any other day or time. One visit day a week and no weekends. No staff available for weekend visits.

Uncaring, unresponsive staff! Did not take care of my dad! He fell off the bed twice and had to wait awhile for help to come! My dad was only there for a week and was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia. He passed a week after being hospitalized. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! They don't care about the wellbeing of the patients.

I was a patient at Fort Washington Rehab center in September of 2020. I had open heart surgery and was admitted from Prince George Hospital. The staff was both compassionate and caring. I was petrified of COVID but I was kept safe. I was in a great deal of pain but the nurses and the therapy staff handled me so well. Their was a nurse that admitted me their from the hospital. Rosalind Stokes came to see me once I admitted and she stayed in contact with me throughout my stay. I did not expect that extra touch. The Admissions Director and The ED Karen that runs that building does it with great compassion. I would highly recommend this facility if and when you need help.

If there was an option to give 0 stars that would be the rating I would give for this HORRIBLE place!!!! My dad was here for one week and he has had an awful experience. The nurses are not responsive! Or helpful! The food is disgusting! The staff is not responsive or understanding. The place needs to be updated or closed down ASAP! They have neglected to care for my dad in a normal bedside manner, which is very unacceptable. Yesterday, my dad called for his nurse using the call button located in his room, he then overheard his nurse say to a peer that “she was not thinking about that light”. Which meant she was going to neglect my dads call for his nurse. My dad is bed ridden and is listed as a fall risk which means he needs his nurse to help with daily tasks since he’s not capable of leaving his bed alone. Normally I would be against writing such a review for others to see. However, this is UNACCEPTABLE treatment for my loved one, and I want to make sure that everyone knows the level of care given at this facility. IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS, DO NOT SEND THEM TO THIS FACILITY!!!!!! I repeat DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS PLACE. I have so many other bad things to say, but will leave this here for your information. THANK ME LATER!

My relative is at Fort Washington Health & Rehabilitation Center. We had some difficulties, but we got those problems straightened out. Everything so far is going OK. They've been attentive to his needs. When I say something to them regarding anything, they normally take care of it immediately. I'm satisfied right at this moment. He said the meals are fine. They give you a good portion. Everything seems fine. If I'm going by the norm, the place is clean. However, it's a little expensive.

I stayed at Fort Washington Health & Rehab Center for 3 weeks after having bilateral knee replacement. The Center was clean, if I had a problem I would let Management know and the problem was taken care of immediately. The entire staff was fantastic, from Management to the GNAs. I feel in love with my GNAs, they were very helpful and I looked forward to seeing them and talking to them. The physical therapy department was GREAT!!! I went back to visit, the staff remembered me and it was good to see them. Whenever I ride by the facility, I think about my stay there. I highly recommend this facility.

This is my Second time here at Fort Washington rehab and once again everything was great. From my doctors on down to the all the staff. My GNA's in the morning and 3-11 shift have become my second family. Recreational department is really on top of there Game. The care that they give to The patient is great. We went on field trips , play bingo, have cooking class and have arts and crafts. I'm really going to miss them. And let me not forget Maintenance department. Mr Hunter and crew are about there work. One day he stayed all night after a storm knocked out the lights. But he and his team got together and fix the problem before they went home. Last to say The therapy department is on top of the game make you feel right at home while getting better......much love always.
