HomeLife was an older community but an attractive, clean, and well-maintained place. The gentleman who gave me the tour answered all my questions. Because it was a little bit older, it didn't quite have the appeal of something a little more modern. It's further away from home. The amenities were typical. The facilities were a little more dated, but the place looked clean and organized.

We went to HomeLife in the Gardens. The place was wonderful, but the rooms were bad. My sister and brother-in-law would require a 2-bedroom apartment. The bedrooms were basically private hospital rooms, and the layout was not conducive to them. They would basically have to have single beds in different bedrooms, and that would not work at all. If you need assisted living, this place was extremely nice; it is just the rooms were not what we were looking for. The staff was fine -- same as all the others.

My husband and I were both impressed with HomeLife in the Gardens, and we would not mind being there ourselves. The staff was competent, and the woman who was the director of the place was very accomplished. She had a good mix of what they have designed for their residents. The rooms were adequate and nicely put together. We saw people interacting with another, which was nice. It's not a very huge place, but it was OK.

My father just moved to HomeLife in the Gardens. From start to finish the entire experience has been much easier than I anticipated. The friendly staff and people living there made the move something my father looked forward to rather than something he was apprehensive about. The room he moved into had just been updated and was larger than I expected so he was able to bring several items from home. Positives...wonderful staff, friendly residents, fun activities and great food. HomeLife in the Gardens is a beautiful place for him to now call home!

HomeLife in the Gardens is kind of dirty. The staff is nice, but the food is not good. The location is great for a busy area. A lot of people don’t really participate in activities, choosing instead to stay to themselves.

Everyone was nice at Homelife in the Gardens. It was very clean and didn't have any foul odors. My husband said the meals were very delicious. He only stayed three days, but he was impressed with the care. The apartments were very nice. If anything comes up again, that would be the place for me to bring him. It was a very nice place.

At Homelife In The Gardens, the staff was great. The rooms were too small. It was just a room with a bathroom, and it didn’t have any windows. They wanted $3,500 a month for a room and a bathroom. The dining area that we looked at was OK. They would give you three meals and a snack, but if you have to have medicines given to you, they wouldn’t do that. You would have to hire another company to come out and administer the medicine, and that would be an additional cost.

Homelife is very nice, however, the price was too high for me to live there. I thought the staff was very knowledgeable. They answered all my questions, and they were very kind and cordial.

I love this community. Just moved my loved one there. This is a hard transition for all parties. The staf ff is extremely professional and some even have there loved ones there who say they love it. I live down the street and pop in at different hours and its always the same. A must see place. Great management!!

My mom is 98 years old, confined to a wheelchair and has been at Homelife for about a year. Before coming here she had been in two independent living and two skilled nursing facilities. This is by far the best place she has been. The staff is wonderful. They function as a team. The facility gives mom the privacy of her own room and furniture. She has family pictures on the wall. Her care has been excellent and personal. She recently had radiation therapy. Homelife provided transportation for the dozens of doctors appointments and waited with their van cheerfully and tenderly until she was ready to return. This is but one example of the many kindnesses we have been graced with by these wonderful people.

My mother is moving into HomeLife in the Gardens. We toured this community Prior to her decision to move And we had a wonderful visit! The staff was friendly, caring and very interactive with the residents. Everyone, both residents and staff said hello and had a smile for us. My mother was concerned with the quality of meals so we stayed for lunch. I am certainly glad we did because it put my mother at ease, everything was delicious. The historic New Orleans building was beautiful and she is greatly looking forward to her move. Thanks HomeLife.
