I like Nouveau Marc by Barclay House a lot. The place is beautiful. It's worth every penny, and the people that work here are amazing. They have one-bedroom and two-bedrooms that I couldn't afford, so I just went with a studio apartment. It includes three meals a day, snacks, and a lot of activities. They are here to keep the older people very busy. I can see why they are very active because there's a reason for them to be active. They make sure that you're happy and comfortable. It's incredible. I'm proud to be older now because of the respect in my surroundings of where I'm at. The thing I like most is the atmosphere and the vibe you get from the employees and the other tenants who live here. I was extremely depressed, and I came here, and this was the happiest place I could be at. There are a lot of fun activities. We do horse racing and it's like you have a playground. We do bingo, there's bible class and exercise class, they take you out on trips, and they get you to your appointments on time. I'm staying active compared to where I was for the last two years. The staff doesn't look at you as a normal person, they're here to be friends. Even the workers, if they see you struggling with stuff, they will offer you their help. It's like I'm in a number one hotel and I'm getting the top service because I'm paying their top dollars. I will not move from here until I have to move to a nursing home. It's a little tight financially, but it's worth it. They have places here where they're two- or three-bedrooms, in that way if a family wants to move in together now, they have their own room. It is just awesome how they think of the whole problem.

We toured Nouveau Marc. It was a great, beautiful tour. They showed us the kitchen and the outside. They showed us an empty room that it will look like. We saw a room that was fully furnished. We've seen all the amenities they offer, and the things around there. We were shown the break rooms. We were showing a lot. I wish the location was beautiful, and I wish that we could have got my mom up there, but she needs to be mobile.

We like Nouveau Marc. We even happened to have a meal there, and it was very good, and everybody seemed to be happy there. I was impressed. Everybody was very friendly and forthcoming concerning to any questions that you might have. You are allowed to talk to other people who were there to get their feedback, which is a plus. The apartments were very nice. They showed us a couple of apartments. They're very nice. It makes you feel that you're not just stuck in a room, that you are in a nice apartment. They have a refrigerator, they don't have a stove, but you can bring a microwave to put on the counter. They don't have an outside area for the second story, but for the first story, you can go out into the small patio, and that was nice.

I went to see Nouveau Marc. I like the atmosphere and the people there, they're all polite and the staff works with you. The place looked nice and clean, and the food is good. They have daily activities that go on, so it's a great little community for you. They treated us to lunch and then we went on the tour, everything was great. They have a full gym and a little community center where they have activities and a library.

Nouveau Marc was wonderful. Ginger was very, very informative, and helpful. We would love for my mom to be there, and I really feel that she would have good care. The staff looked like they were really open and honest about their activities. Everybody was just helpful. I didn't observe any activity that day, but I saw a wonderful, spacious dining room. It was very inviting and very upscale. It's like going to a five-star restaurant. The rooms were well lit and looked very safe. The decor was inviting. There were some residents that were in the gaming area, so everyone must have been out or something like that. The neighborhood that it was in looked like it was very quiet. There wasn't a lot of traffic. The van that takes them to different places, I saw that parked outside.

We toured Nouveau Marc. The tour person was very forthcoming, very open, and honest about the facility. I saw a studio apartment. The layout was small. Nothing fancy and it's kind of what I was expecting. Their eating facility was nice. It had a hotel feel. They have an itinerary for the residents to participate in monthly. They have laundry services and housekeeping services. I only met one staff person and that was the LPN, Veronica. Veronica was very, very polite, very forthcoming, honest, and open about what the facility can offer and what it can't offer.

Nouveau Marc was a beautiful place. It's a great independent living center. It's not one that I would consider for my dad because I think he is not totally independent. The facility was nice. There's a lot of features. The rooms were nice and big. I like the activities that they plan every day, and their scheduled menus. Some of the rooms have a little balcony where you can roll out. It's a nice, quiet place. I like it. The facility was really big and open. It's an open floor. There's nothing on the floor that would prevent a wheelchair from rolling in and rolling out. I like the openness of it. I only met the tour guide, and she was very nice.

Nouveau Marc was very nice and clean. The room was spacious and nice. The staff was really nice and informative. The dining room was nice, but I didn't know about the food because they weren't serving any food during my tour at the facility. They have games. They have a pool table and a very spacious game room. They have a salon inside the facility, which is very nice and it looks professional.

I went to Nouveau Marc for an in-person tour. It seemed like a clean, safe environment. I wasn't able to interact with the people too much because of the pandemic, which kinda limited me being able to really talk to the people that lived there. I really would have liked to have done that. Basically, I looked at the lobby, the welcoming area for the people, and the apartment that I was considering to meet my needs. It seemed like a nice area, close enough to the shopping and fitness centers, and close enough to visit New Orleans. They have several churches there available for worship. They also have worship there onsite on Sundays. They have a laundry facility. They even invited me to come back sometime to enjoy the dining hall, but I didn't follow up on that, so I don't know about the dining facility. They had a piano in the lobby. They have housekeeping and cable connections available.

Nouveau Marc is a very nice place, and I considered Mom to go there. The staff member accommodated us very well and was friendly and personable. The staff, not just the lady who took me on the tour, had good eye-contact and nice greetings. The residents seemed active, and we walked away feeling that it's a cheery place. The lady who took me on the tour was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and I was very comfortable talking to her. They had activities like cards, bingo, and art. They also had an exercise room and a little bit of a walking area.

Nouveau Marc was spacious and the atmosphere was pretty affirming. The staff was very nice and great. They have 1- and 2-bedrooms. The landscaping is really nice and there's a very nice patio with a jogging path. They have a pretty robust schedule of activities where they transport people back and forth to places they want to go, like casinos or church.

Nouveau Marc offers food and a place for you to stay. It also has an area to walk in. The person who assisted me was very helpful, and the people who are living there seemed to be happy -- I think they were playing some kind of card game. I would say this place looked like it has some potential. It would be one of the places that I would have on my list to consider.

Nouveau Marc was OK. It was adequate and superior. The rooms that we went to had people in it, and they seemed happy to be there. The dining area was big and adequate, and they really worked at structuring their activities for the residents.

I visited Nouveau Marc, and I did a one-day volunteer work for them as well. They had a wonderful magic show, and they had old-time music, which I liked.

I had a great visit at Nouveau Marc. The staff was very warm, friendly and inviting. I liked the fact that the staff that showed me around seemed to know everybody by their name and called me just to follow up. The place was fine. It was nice and comfortable. I saw a two-bedroom unit that had just been moved out of and also a one-bedroom unit that someone was going to be moving into and they were both very nice. I thought the one bedroom was nice and spacious enough. I thought the two-bedroom was kind of small for the cost, but it was very nice. She offered me to sample the meal, but I did not. However, it looked good. I liked that they had a very nice cozy dining room. They had more than one dining room. I met the chef and he shared a lot of the menu with me. They seemed to have a lot of selections. I had their calendar of activities and they seemed to have plenty enough to do.

Mom is in Nouveau Marc. We like, it and it is close to where we live. I think the staff is great. They are very helpful. She has an apartment with one bedroom, one bathroom, a mini-kitchen,and it is spacious enough. The food and the activities are both great.

My aunt lived here since 2006. She recently passed away at 95 years young. The room was nice, not great but roomy and near the elevator. The food was great, sometimes though lots of times the chef was changed so the food taste went up and down through the years. The dining room attendants were very nice and kind and the room had a restaurant atmosphere. Lots of activities, though my aunt never participated.
