We got my mom into Woodbriar Southern Style Assisted Living & Memory Care. It's a small facility. They only have ten rooms in the memory care department where she is, so I like the smallness of it, and it's just kind of like a home. They have the same CNAs pretty much every time. It's clean, and everybody just makes you feel welcome there. The staff is excellent. I haven't tried it. I'm there for her meals and it looks fine. It all looks good as a chef. They have activities every day. They have exercise every morning. They have bingo. They have arts and crafts, they have someone come in every now and then to do different functions. They have pokeno. In the memory care they're going to have their own activities in the back. They have eight residents now because it's expanding, so they'll have their own activities in the back. They keep them occupied in the back with coloring and puzzles and painting. They were one of the cheapest ones.

We have chosen Woodbriar Southern Style Assisted Living and Memory Care for my aunt. She's on the waiting list. I like the location. It's a fairly new facility. The staff members were very knowledgeable and very informative. We left there having no questions. When you walk in the room, there's a little kitchenette where my aunt can actually set up a table and chairs, and that area is open with a good-sized living room, good-sized bedroom, good-sized closet, good-sized walk-in shower, and a vanity. All are very nice. We already did the deposit, and my aunt is up next. The dining area was very nice and a very good size. They have a bar in there where you can also get snacks and drinks throughout the day. It's a very nice facility. They have a walking path, and they have nice porches with rocking chairs on them. They have beauty shop where they can do their nails and their hair. They have a library with WiFi hookups. They offer cable TV. They do all type of activities. While we were there this week, someone was doing a reading of a Christmas story, and they have cookies and milk. They have a lot of local schools and stuff that come back and forth and do activities with the people. It's just everything my aunt wanted. The atmosphere was very cheerful. Everyone was very polite as far as the staff goes. The residents were welcoming. They wanted to visit with you. It's very nice.

We chose Woodbriar Southern Style Assisted Living and Memory Care as a recommendation of someone, and they accepted my dad there. He's only been there a week. They've been very accommodating for getting him moved in and keep me abreast of how he's doing. They're usually very attentive and have interacted with him very well so far. They inquired what he likes to do and activities that he likes and they did inquire about his likes and dislikes. They do have a salon, they have a library, they have a walking area, like a courtyard, but it's more restricted. They've got a separate courtyard for memory care patients. It's very clean.
