Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette is outstanding. The staff is caring and compassionate. My mother's needs are well attended. The facility is beautiful, new and homey, but with contemporary decor. The staff were outgoing, they were very patient, they answered lots of questions, and they took a great deal of time with us. The unit is an efficiency apartment. It has one bedroom, a kitchenette, a living room, and then a bathroom. They have art classes, they have daily social hours, they have outings to museums, to restaurants and shopping, and they have exercise classes. They have a hair salon and like technology classes. There are all kinds of things. They have a chef. The food is healthy. They don't fry anything. They try to use fresh foods. My mom was in another facility beforehand and it was a lot of frozen, deep-fried things, but this is all fresh food, and it's very attractively displayed. There is a nice dining room. My mom moved in a few years ago and she is still there. What we have done, they have what's called aging in place, and so we've hired additional sitters at our own expense so that she's able to stay there and still be cared for, but they do offer services like bathing and medication administration. When my mom first moved in, she was able to do all that on her own, but as my mom's level of need rose, we added those services on.

My first impression of Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette was that it was very, very nice. The only thing is the price. It's very clean. They got very nice rooms (I only got to see an empty room). They were nice-sized, too. The lady was so good. She was very comforting and knowledgeable.

Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette is an awesome place, but it's so expensive. And they don't take any Social Security payment or anything. It's all cash. The facility was gorgeous, though. And the people were very courteous and helpful. The staff was very courteous and very helpful. I had the opportunity to observe some of the people eating, and the dining facility was unbelievably nice. Everything was 100% at this place. The atmosphere of this place was classy. The size of the rooms and the layout were very nice.

Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette was good. The people were pretty nice. They gave me a lot of information that's going to be helpful. The rooms were nice. They were like little apartments. The staff was great and very helpful. They had a little outdoor space and a little gazebo for people to go outside. It was more expensive, a little fancier, and more decorated.

Our experience with Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette was excellent. John was phenomenal. We spoke about an hour, then we toured the facility. The rooms were great, really nice, and very comfortable. It was a joy to walk and see the people out moving around. They were having lunch and everybody knew who John was. It's a new place, so it looked good. John spoke highly of all of his people. You could tell when he walked to the back that they were all very close to each other, and they work well together. It was really a nice place. It's only like five minutes from my house, too. We saw the menu and John talked about the chef. It was a Sunday, so it was kind of low key, and he said most of them were on lockdown because they had a few pneumonias going around, so it wasn't busy and he addressed that. We did catch the residents all in the cafeteria where they were eating, and they had some family members in there with them. It's cozy, because it's a small enough place that they can deal with their patients. The boards on the outside with the videos running the whole time were really nice. It was an excellent tour. We didn't have to ask many questions because John went over everything, even about us, the family. He could relate to where we were because he had already done it with his parents. He knew what to tell us and how to go about things, and gave us some good information. He was very informative. It's topnotch. It was like a five-star hotel. The whole place was really nice. The lady at the front was really nice. We had to check in and she was prompt at getting John to come out.

I toured Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette. I really thought that it was really pretty, very well set up, and very clean. They offer a lot of different activities for the residents, and I found the staff that I met to be very friendly, and they answered all my questions. It seemed like some of the apartments were more expensive than others, and it almost seemed like they were dividing the residents up based on what they could pay. They had a salon, a TV room, and an activity room.

I toured Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette's assisted living. It's very pretty and very spacious. You just got the sense that you are in a hotel. It's one of the newer ones in Lafayette. The rooms have granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. They had a good-sized kitchen in it too. The main bedroom was walled off, it had a door and it was a good size too. If I had to make a guess, I'd say it was probably 10 by 12. You had a little sitting area or a living room area off the kitchen. The bathroom was huge and very accommodating to a wheelchair, very nicely decorated, and plush. It had a kind of an art deco atmosphere throughout the facility. You could tell it was a corporation because it had a lot of oil paintings of saxophones and things like that. The dining area was very nice, it had very large glass, and light fixtures. The tables were spaced out well. It's off of the main lobby so it makes you think of a fancy hotel. They had very well-kept grounds with nice sitting areas. It was all on one level and some rooms had doors that went out to a patio area where they kept their plants and little benches. They did say that all had to be uniform in design and colors since it was on the outside of the building. The staff seemed very professional and well-rehearsed. The man who toured us kind of reminded me of a used car salesman. He did say we could come back and eat lunch with him next week. My mother just wasn't comfortable there. She said, "Oh, no. I could not run and scoot around in my wheelchair. I don't think they would like that either. I might make marks on the floor." There were a lot of polished and porcelain floors so it looked very fancy. The residents were having a demonstration of American Indian cultures while we were there. We were in the lobby and that was occurring in the dining room and they had some people in there, dressed as American Indians, dancing. They started talking about food and things like that while we waited for the salesperson.

My mother-in-law will be moving into Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette. It is the best one. The facility is beautiful and well-kept. It is small, so there's not a lot of walking. The staff was very caring and very knowledgeable. The facility was very clean. The decor is very positive, bright, and comfortable. They have a courtyard, salon, exercise, art classes, ministry, restaurant, laundry facility, and maid service twice a week. They have pretty much everything you can imagine, and it's wonderful. You get what you pay for, so it's more expensive. They will deliver food to my mother-in-law's room at no extra charge. She gets three full meals a day. When the kitchen wasn't open, there was always something else that could be accessed, like snacks or cereal at any time of the day, so that was a big deal. They have medication management. Everything was carpeted and very comfortable to walk around. This place is honestly like an all-inclusive resort. They have happy hour every day, and all of this is included. They don't have to pay for anything. They do have to pay for the salon and cable.

I went to Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette. It was very nice. I liked the apartment, it was a nice, big, one-bedroom apartment on the first floor. The dining room area was nice. She did give me a tour of the place, and it was very nice. It was more of a full kitchen, refrigerator, microwave. There's the bedroom, which is separate from the living room, which I liked. There's a bathroom, it's handicap type with big, walk-in showers. It's pretty new, I don't think it's been there that long, so everything's brand new, and very nice. The staff was very good, very nice, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. They did follow up with me trying to see if I had made a decision.

I have seen many homes, and I have never seen one that has the care and the facilities that Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette has. I would give them a five star for everything. They all loved their jobs, and I could feel the love between the residents and the staff as I went through. It was really nice. They have room service all day, and the chef was awesome. They gave me a meal to take home, and it was all fresh. It wasn't your typical hospital/assisted living food. It was fresh. It's only two years old, so it's clean, modern, bright and cheery. It's really nice. It's also pet friendly.

We previously lived in Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette, in the assisted living quarters. If I had an appointment and I couldn't bring him with me, I would use the memory care unit. But I didn't feel they were offering enough activities for my husband at the time. Food, everything, everything was fantastic over there. The only thing I didn't care about was that I wasn't prepared for the memory care unit. The memory care unit there is too large for individualized intentions. The staff was very friendly, very accommodating, and if I needed something done, it was done for me. They're very expensive. The food was very, very good, and if you didn't want the prepared special of the day, you could request some of the old standards, or get something else prepared for you. The room was very spacious and very nice. What I did not like there was the carpeting in the room. I would have preferred a plain floor instead of having carpet.

We toured the Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette. It was super, super nice. I would live there, but it was too much for my mom; it was not fitting for her. It was just a little too big. They had a wonderful, social attitude, there was a group of residents sitting down, and a director was going over the activities for the week. It was great. Everything was up-to-date, everything was clean, and the staff was super nice. They looked to be on top of their game and knew what they were doing.

I was really impressed with Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette and with the explanation that the staff person gave me about the place. It's a very nice, very beautiful facility. I would sincerely consider it. I was shown three types of rooms. The first was a two-bedroom apartment, the second was a one-bedroom apartment, and the third was a studio apartment. I was really impressed with the studio apartments because the space is broken up so that it does not look like one big room. That was one of the things that I really liked. The other thing I liked is a couple of the rooms had a courtyard, and a couple of the rooms had doorways so you could go out to the courtyard. Im looking for the standard amenities like dining, recreation, and socialization, and they seem to have a good description of them. The personnel gave me calendars that showed what the activities are and where the activities are scheduled. I was really impressed with Avanti.

Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette was really nice, very upscale, and I would imagine it caters more to wealthy people. It was outstanding all the way around. The person we met was very knowledgeable, but we had some parishioners who were staying or living there, so we were visiting them. I had a meal there, and they had wait staff who took care of us and brought us what we needed. It was so very well prepared and tasty that you'd think you were dining at a restaurant. They even had a cocktail lounge. The only the downside at all was the rooms were relatively small, at least the ones that we saw.

Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette is beautiful. It's new, and it's a little bit luxurious. It's got big open spaces, foyers, living room areas, and they even have a book club there. They made sure we had a conference room that we could use. The rooms are typical of anywhere else, a little small, but really nice. It's a new place, so right now it looks great. The people were really nice. They had transportation, recreational activities, and staff all over attending to what the people like to do.

My tour at Avanti Senior Living at Lafayette was excellent. It's brand new, they've only been open less than a year. They have excellent security. They met me at the door. I had to go around to a side door where they took my temperature. I wasn't able to meet any of the residents there other than the tour guide or director of the tour, and the lady who was in charge of the whole facility. Both of them were very knowledgeable. It's a single-level facility.
