My dad has been in Laketown Village. He is doing OK. He is trying to adjust to it. I've been there like three or four times, and everybody has been really helpful and nice. As far as we know everything's going well, and we don't have any complaints or anything. The room is really nice. It's nothing fancy, but it's clean. He is in a big room. It's really a room for two people, but he's the only one in there because they're not full capacity yet. We brought in his TV and his recliner, and we're trying to get him a hospital bed. The bed that they had in there is the one he is using right now. The two times I went there, my dad was eating his meals and they looked pretty good. He hasn't complained about their food, and he said it's pretty good. They have activities. They had some kind of Mardi Gras thing. I noticed in his room they had puzzles and stuff that they tried to get him to do. They try to keep him engaged, which is good. They have an outside area that's really nice. It's like a courtyard where they can go sit outside and stuff like that. I've been out there, and that's a pretty nice little area for them. Their dining room is a little common area where they have a TV, a sofa, and then a bunch of chairs for them to sit and watch TV and stuff.

Laketown Village was very nice. I very much enjoyed it. If I needed a retirement facility, it is where I would go. The rooms were very nice. I love the place. I didn't go into the memory care, but they seem to be very nice. They have all types of activities. They have a birthday celebration once a month. They have assistance with personal needs that include dressing, bathing, and stuff like that. They have a nice restaurant where you can choose what you like to eat for your breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They have snacks in between. They have people that take them to different places. If they need to go shopping or wherever, they have drivers to drive you to the doctors' appointments or something like that. We were offered food, but we didn't have time. The menu looked nice. I would love to have eaten there if I had the time.

My stepdad is in Laketown Village. It's pretty good. I'm happy with it. He's in memory care and the staff is doing a good job. It was not real big. I liked that the memory care unit was smaller and I feel like the staff is very nice and attentive. There are some things I would like to change though. They need more staff members, and they have to clean the place a little more. They have activities; he's not a participant though. I think they can improve on the cosmetics of it, mopping it more and fixing things that are worn out to make it more pleasant for them. They have a patio and a nice foyer where they have singing and music. I don't think we're getting as much as we'd like for the money we're spending.

When I did a tour of Laketown Village, I liked that there seemed to be a little more flexibility as far as how they allow people to live in memory care versus assisted living. I was kind of hoping that we might be able to eventually get into assisted living, but I'm not sure at this point. I'm just hoping that he can do okay with memory care, but I seriously considered their facility. They had some damage from the hurricane. It's not as big, and as spacious, but it was still very, very nice. It is also out in Kenner, which is New Orleans suburb, but it doesn't have as much space as the other facility because it's not as far out. They do have a nice area, but the feeling wasn't as open, like almost-country feel like, where you can look out and see the expanse of grass and stuff like that.

I visited Laketown recently. I was very impressed with the loving care the staff exhibited. They were effective in caring for the elderly in a supportative manner. The activities they were involved in were simple enough for them , yet were entertaining. I found the facility very clean and everyone I met had a pleasant attitude. The rooms were clean a spacious. I would not hesitate to place someone in their care should it become nessary.

When I first toured Brookdale, it felt more like a resort than a nursing facility. My father was a resident at Brookdale Kenner for several months before he passed. I can't express how happy I was with the facility. The staff was very friendly, attentive and caring. We had always tried to avoid putting him into a nursing home, but once we found Brookdale, I wish we had done it sooner. I compared several options and facilities, and found Brookdale to be the best one for pricing, safety, security, care, meals, activities and attention. Brookdale offered activities like crafts, games, exercise, live music and enclosed gardens and a covered patio for the memory care patients. The meals were excellent with a good variety to suit my father's appetite.

Brookdale Kenner was a smaller community that seemed more crowded than the other places we visited. It was an older place that wasn't as clean, but the staff was nice, and it was overall a nice community. They had outside areas to walk around in, and the location was good. The parking was OK, and the rooms were nice. They had a band playing there at the time we were visiting, and the residents were all watching. We saw the residents on the memory care floor were on the dining room sitting around with staff taking care of them.

My Mom has been in Brookdale Kenner for approximately 6 months. The last 2 1/2 months have been a disaster, room dirty, not cleaned on the day she is supposed to have service, clothes piled up and not washed when they are supposed to be cleaned. there are maybe 2 caregivers that take real good care of the people there but they can't do it all. Getting ready to take my Mom out as soon as I find another place. Very disappointed with the new manager that took over - this is where the problem begins and they have now hired people with piercing, tattoos, on their phones all of the time, etc., don't care about the people there just about socializing. Brookdale, Kenner needs to get rid of this new manager.

Brookdale Kenner is probably best for a person who is pretty much capable of caring for themselves. They didn’t do a good job assessing my dad. I don’t think they are able to really provide emergency care or first aide. The services that they offer don’t match what they actually give. The room was OK; however, my dad was supposedly receiving housekeeping, but they didn’t keep it clean. They offered him laundry services, and the laundry wasn’t done on the day that it was supposed to be done. They said that they were going to get my dad a hospital bed because the bed that he had was not up to the standard of what he needed and provide him with the lift, but the lift didn’t come. I am going to move him out.

We tried Brookdale, and it didn't work out too well. They were very nice people, but my mother got out in the middle of the night a few times and was walking in the Joe Yenni Boulevard. She apparently fell over with a walker, and some passersby found her and got her to the hospital. It didn't seem they had that many caregivers, but I would still recommend them because the staff was really very nice.

My aunt is in Brookdale Kenner for almost 2 months now. It has a lot going on. It is an enormous place. They have exercise class and memory class. They have an enormous courtyard they can hang out in. It is a big building they can walk around. It has a library. They have many communal areas that people can congregate in. They have live music. They serve all the meals. The staff is fine. They are approachable and friendly.

Brookdale Kenner is above average with friendly and nice people. There are two wings, two stories each and individual rooms for everybody. They have a lobby, dining halls, and a lot of function rooms. They provide entertainment for the residents like bingo. There are orchestras, singing groups, and storytellers that come in.

The people at Brookdale Kenner were very nice, helpful, and showed me around the Alzheimer’s and dementia unit because my wife has dementia. It was very clean, and the dining area looked nice.

We’re going to place my mother at Brookdale Kenner. They were very accommodating, very friendly, and very helpful. The room seemed adequate and large enough for a bit of furniture, and her has a large walk-in closet. They have a beauty salon and barber shop, a nice courtyard, a game room for cards. The dining room is basically like a small hotel dining room.

Brookdale was a nice place. The rooms were OK. The dining area was average. I like that they didn't have that many people. There were not a lot of patients there. I like that.

We went to Brookdale, and it was nice, but it was very expensive. It was much newer. We toured it on a very busy day because it was an open house. They were changing their name, and there was a big celebration going on. There was a party and a jazz band. We saw one studio apartment. The apartments weren't homey. They were very limited. Most of them are studio apartments. Some had one bedroom in them with very little storage space. I don't feel like we could take everything we owned with us to the place. I thought that was a detriment to us in this facility. However, it was definitely well kept and clean.

The staff at Brookdale Kenner was very helpful and kind. They answered all of our questions, and it was a really good experience when we went for a visit. They also take very god care of my mom. The rooms were very nice. They are not very big, but they actually meet all of the needs of my mother. I ate there one time with her, and the food is very good. She likes the food there too. Their dining room is very nice and clean. They do have all sorts of activities, like they go out once a week to go eat lunch. They also have crafts and bowling. They also have physical activities. The only security issue that we have because my mother has dementia is that the doors are not locked at night, so she can wander out at night. That is the only thing that does not make me really happy. The front door is locked, but the side doors are not. I think the only suggestion I could have is that at night the doors could be more secure as far as leaving the facility.

Everything at Brookdale Kenner is excellent. I didn’t eat there, but I saw the residents going to lunch, and the food looked very good. The people that worked there were just wonderful. You can see that it is a family-type atmosphere. They make you feel like you are part of a family. They take the residents out if they want to with their small bus. They can also take you to your doctors. It was wonderful. They have movies and different activities. The staff who gave us the tour was wonderful.

We went to Emeritus at Kenner, but it just didn't fit right off. The staff seemed very competent. The sales staff was very good. It was more in my range as far as price-wise, but still it was too high.

I would highly recommend Emeritus at Kenner to anyone. The staff treat you like you're family. They are very warm and helpful. It is more than what I expected. It is a friendly place. The nursing staff is great as well as the administrator, director, finance person, the activities person, even the man who is in charge of the facility. The food is good. My mom is on a low-salt diet, and they are maintaining that well. We use the wheelchair bus. She goes to the beauty parlor there, and she is so satisfied. I love the opportunity if somebody wanted to call me. That is how thankful I am for the way that they've treated my parents so far.

When we saw the Emeritus at Kenner, we saw that the rooms were a right size, and they had enough people to care for the residents. They go on outings, they have a bus that will take them where they need to go, they have three meals a day with three different choices, they play games, they have music, and they have bands that come in, so there is a lot of communication. And, they also have a medical team that will assist if you need somebody to dispense some meds. They usually answer my questions, and the person there that I speak to is on top of everything.

The people who showed me around Emeritus were very nice and pleasant and answered my questions. The rooms were nice. The dining room seemed pleasant. It was airy and light. I saw a lot of older people sitting around not doing a whole lot. It was not a place that I would want to be, certainly not long term.

My dad moved in at Emeritus at Kenner for a two-week try-out period. The facility is great, and there's nothing wrong with it. I liked the people and the administration when we were there. They were very caring, but I think on the weekend the staff is not as full. Overall, there was really nothing wrong with it. It was just my dad wanted to go home. The food was really good, and the people were very nice. The residents seemed to be well taken care of. They have good entertainment and activities. They have lots of music. I suggest that others go check out the facility as well as ask other people with regards to the facility.

The tour at Emeritus at Kenner was wonderful. Everything was fresh. It had flowers, and there were people sitting and chatting outside. The people inside welcomed us, and they were ready for the appointment. Everything was positive. We just happened to go through the dining room during the meal. I have worked in these facilities, and normally during mealtime everybody is just concentrating on their meals. This room was full of chitchat and everybody said hello. I can’t believe it. I haven’t seen so many friendly people in my life! And these are the residents who live there. They’re obviously enjoying themselves. We got to look into several rooms, and a couple of residents wanted us to look at their rooms. I was also impressed that they have facilities for every possible need; that was really amazing. You saw residents walking their own dogs and people who are bed- or wheelchair-bound being taken care of. I wouldn’t hesitate to put my parents there; they would surely have a good time.

We were looking for a facility for my patient and we chose Emeritus at Kenner because that is the facility that they can afford. It's a very good place and very clean. The people there are very nice. The rooms were nice and spacious. Overall, everything in the facility was okay.

Went to visit my mama and she was enjoying something with wine and great food. I pulled her out since i was only in town for one night for business but was just surprised to find this on a Tuesday evening! All the people were listening to great music and having a great time. I was just very pleasantly surprised. I have a mom coming close to needing care and will probably look into assisted living for her since it is like this.

Emeritus is a beautiful place. I can't say anything bad about its appearance but I don't think my son was getting the type of care and attention that he needed there. He has Alzheimer's and they apparently couldn't handle him. They didn't have enough activities and he was quite bored over there. Because he's young, he was loud and active and he frightened some of the old people. They didn't like the fact that he was always walking around. He was very friendly with them and wanted to shake hands with them but they were frail and they were afraid of him.

Though I have not toured Emeritus at Kenner yet. I liked what they have shared with us so far like providing direct assistance such as bathing and meals, highly trained staff and the various activities that they facilitate. I am satisfied with the information they have provided so far. I am currently on the process of convincing my mother to move into Emeritus and then I would like to tour the place then.

The Emeritus facility is an excellent assisted living facility. It is very neat and spacious. The employees their are extremely friendly and respectful. It seems to be an enjoyable facility for the people that are there. My mom, who i recently dropped off their, told me the next day telling me how much she loved the place. The food on the menus seem to be nutritous aswell as enjoyable. The furniture seems to be in good condition and relaxing. Overall, this was an excellent facility, with a comfortable environment, nutritous menu, and freindly helpful employees. Highly Recommended.
