I went to Oak Park Village at Hammond. It's very nice looking, clean, and very open. They also had a private dining area for a family reunion or get together that was separate. The room was nice. The staff member was very nice, a very good speaker, very informative, and really encouraged my mother-in-law to make a decision. It really looked nice, that entry was beautiful. They did have a beauty salon, which my mother-in-law liked, they had a small theater room, which was nice. They had a computer area and printers that the people could use, and a nice dining area. It was late in the afternoon, which is really closing time there, I would call it evening because it was dark outside when we started doing the tour. She showed us the courtyard, which we couldn't see very well just because it was dark, but still it looked like a very nice setting in there.

We went to Oak Park Village At Hammond. The experience was very good. I thought the staff was excellent as well. I thought the room was adequate, I didn't think it was over the top, but adequate for the needs of the individual. They did indicate that they have different things for them to do, but I did not see any of that on my tour because of the pandemic. I liked that it seemed to be a little bit smaller for mobility reasons, and that it had that homey feeling as well. It seemed to be a pretty good place for people to be.

Oak Park Village at Hammond is beautiful. My nephew's room is beautiful. Everything is perfect. The services are great. Everybody is sweet. I can't say enough about Oak Park itself. I like the way they're dealing with the virus and the way they're taking precautions with the virus. They're right on target, and they're very good with it. It's really expensive, but the services rendered are really good.

One of my mom's sisters and her husband had recently moved into the Live Oak Village. We didn't go there for a tour; we were just going to visit. My aunt who resides there walked us around a little bit. The people we met were friendly. My mom seemed to be more comfortable there. The halls didn't seem quite so long or spread out. The place and people were nice. The apartment seemed smaller than the one-bedroom we had seen at the other community. We only had seen the entrance, the apartment my aunt and my uncle were in, and then a small sitting area, but my aunt seemed very happy with the place.

We had our mother at Live Oak. It was clean. She had a private apartment with a kitchen that had a refrigerator and sink. They served three meals a day in the dining room and had activities to keep them going. They had a doctor that visited on a regular basis and was on-call, but residents do not have to use that doctor; they could use a different doctor. They have a lady who is an independent contractor, and they let her use a room where she did pedicures, manicures, and hair. There were volunteers that came in to do things. For what they offered compared to other agencies that offered the same things, they had the best price. I thought they were OK. My mom was in the assisted living with a code to go in and out which was good since because of her illness, she could be wandering and get lost. My grandmother was also there, and I would recommend it to others. I would bring Mom back there if I had to because it's the only one in the city I live in that has assisted living. It's a pretty good location.

My father is in Live Oak Village. The staff is excellent. The room is very nice and the size is fine. They have bingo and they have people come in to play music and dance for them. They take them out on field trips. They take them to the doctor on Wednesdays. They are open for suggestions from the residents. The place seems to be well supervised. The residents wear security necklace to press if they need any assistance.

When we first toured the facility, we were pleased at how nice this place was! My grandmother decided to move in and absolutely loves this place! They do activities everyday, which keeps my grandmother busy. Her room is always nice and clean. The staff there is very friendly and seems to genuinely care about the residents there! My grandmother is always bathed and dressed nice and helped with EVERY task that she has trouble with. She is completely satisfied with this facility and that puts our minds at ease! I would recommend the facility to anyone interested in assisted living! The menu there is very nice and my grandmother really enjoys the taste of the food! She honestly has not had one complaint about this place and we have never seen any red flags. We can visit her and call her anytime we like and she has alot of freedom there! I cannot say enough about this facility!

My mom has been a resident in LOV for almost a year. It was difficult for her to move from her home of 52 years. It was the best thing that could have happened to her. She has made great friends, both from the residents and the staff. The residence is attractive and clean. There are daily activities and socials. Live Oak Village has enriched Mom's life. She is much happier now than when she was living alone in her home. I have peace of mind knowing that she is well cared for and looked after. LOV has been a blessing for both my mom and myself.

My mom has been a resident of LOV for almost 4 years. The employees are most caring and treat each resident with kindness and respect. It is a bright and upbeat facility. There is always something going on at LOV for the residents to participate in. All of the residents love living there and always seem to be in a "happy" state of mind. My Mom feels well loved and safe and is enjoying her time living there.
