I like that Sugar Grove Senior Living is very clean. It doesn't smell. My parents have a very nice, spacious, and clean apartment there. My father says the food is delicious. They have tons of activities. They have different church services, Bible studies, games, and music. They even do coloring, depending on what the level of needs are for the different people. They have physical therapy. So, whether it's required for them to have it or not, they have it available to them. If a person just wants to go exercise, they can do that. They just need to keep the grounds better. Their staff is awesome. They are wonderful people.

I have moved into Sugar Grove Senior Living. So far, so good. I like it. Everybody's friendly. I haven't had the opportunity to take advantage of everything because I've been so busy moving and unpacking. I love the cottage apartment that I'm in. I have two bedrooms and two baths and then a sunroom. It's very spacious and open. I think I have as much room now as when I had my condo. The staff is very nice and friendly. They go out of their way. They ask you if you need anything and answer your questions. They're just super. The only thing that brings them down is the maintenance people. They're a little bit slow at getting around to whatever you need, but they also said that they had a lot of people moving in this week. Everything I've had has been great. They have bingo several times a week. They have card clubs and exercise clubs. They have a bible study. They have outings where the bus will take people to the Dollar Tree and the grocery store. They don't have very many things at night, which I can understand why, but for people in independent living, it would be nice to have something to go to at nighttime.

I like Sugar Grove Senior Living because the apartments had a door where they could go outside to a courtyard and go out a little bit. I like that well. I like that the whole place was kind of in a circle that you could walk. Mom did not like it because she thought the apartment was too small. The kitchen area was cut in half and the bathroom was as you come in the door, instead of being off the bedroom. The staff was very friendly. They gave you a lot of information. They walked with us and told us about everything. It was very clean and I thought it was really good. I liked it being on one floor. It didn't have levels on it. You didn't have to worry about going up the elevators and stuff.

I liked Sugar Grove Senior Living. I liked where they're located. The only reason my dad didn't go there was because they didn't offer the type of rehab that he needed at the time. They had a nice-sized room. That was one thing I liked there. It would have been efficient for Dad. I just thought it was very ideal if he was ever to need that type of care. They had quite a selection of meals over there. They were all very friendly. The residents all seemed to be happy. Some of them had pets. I thought that it was kind of nice that they allowed pets. I liked the way that it was laid out and what they had to offer. I was kind of surprised that they had big rooms. They had a nice setup. That's for sure.

My mother moved into Sugar Grove Senior Living. The place is very clean and friendly. I liked it when I first walked in, and I had a good impression. The room is so spacious compared to some of the other places we looked at. The leasing agent is very nice. But there were just some issues there that I'm not happy with, and I've had trouble getting anyone to return phone calls. It's been frustrating. I kind of feel like they said all the right things. Then once you get in there, they just want the monthly check. We've had several maintenance issues which have not been addressed yet. Another problem is a lot of the help that they have is from another country and they're very hard to understand. Most of the nurses there, I would give a 5-star rating. However, the CNAs that they have, they're probably more like a 2 or a 3. I would also like a better response from the director. The food is pretty poor. One evening I was there for her dinner, and it was a taco and a cookie. Occasionally, she'll say some food was good. But for the most part, food is just generally cold. They don't give them a choice on what to drink. They play bingo and they do chair exercises. They have someone that comes in and plays music from time to time.

I toured Sugar Grove Senior Living. I wanted a garage. I wanted two bedrooms. I like the full kitchen. I like the size of the bathroom and the sunroom. It had everything I was looking for, besides being smaller. So I would be downsizing. I enjoyed the interaction with the staff. I really did. I met three or four of the staff members and just the fact that they have pets wandering around, I guess it's a community pet. I have a couple of friends there. I like the location of my unit because it faces the north, and the sunroom is on the south, and I felt like I was going to be able to enjoy it a whole lot more with a lot of light. They have different layouts, and they also have two baths, but I only needed one. The tour was very informative. They answered anything that I had questions about and volunteered some things that hadn't even crossed my mind to ask.

This place is awful. If I could put 0 stars I would. My parents used to live in this facility, and loved it at first, as did I. Management has since changed and it is scary. They’ve employed an “Agency” to help out. Meds are not dispensed properly or on time. They’ve lied to us several times. I could go on and on.

I'm a resident. I've lived here 6 months. At first everything was ok.Theres been a staff turnover big time. Food is terrible. Big problem with nursing staff. Not getting meds and if u complain nurses treat you like your stupid. Things don't get fixed. Laundry room has broken down machines. Our complaints go unmet with change and empty promises of change. Looking to moving.

My husband andI have lived here about a month and love it. We live in the garden home and love the space. The rooms are spacious and so are the kitchen cabinets (my favorite). The garage has no step to get into the hallway. It’s all flat. The staff have been very helpful and will work with you. Exercise room, beauty shop, and dining room available. If you want a place to live that is beautiful and peaceful this is the place to be.

Overall, I was very impressed with the whole thing about Sugar Grove Senior Living. I was impressed with the room, with the eating area, and I liked that the residents could pick what they wanted for breakfast as opposed to just having one or two things and you have to eat it or get something of a lesser nutritional value. Most of the rooms had really good lighting in them, and they were separated like an apartment would be, so I thought it was very nice and roomy. The person who toured us was fantastic. She spent a lot of time with us, answered our questions, was very friendly, likable, and I felt very comfortable with her. They do crafts, play physical games, and singing too.

I went to Sugar Grove Senior Living. It seemed to be a very clean and secure place. They were very helpful, answered my questions, and gave a good explanation of things. I was not able to taste a meal. Everything was clean and looked like a nice area for them to be able to eat in. I did not see any activities. I was there in the early afternoon, so most of them were just resting on their own. I thought it was very well kept. I thought the surrounding area was very nice.

We have chosen Sugar Grove Senior Living for the location and for the size of the apartment. My parents have a two-bedroom-two-bath there. I highly recommend the place. They have been very caring and open about trying to help with everything that my parents have needed since they have moved in. The staff members are very friendly and very helpful; everyone is pretty much a Johnny-on-the-spot. I heard that they have activities. The place is very easy to navigate. The independent homes are like a track of buildings along the sides, and then your assisted living is in the interior of the main building.

I've been to Sugar Grove, and it was nice. It was a good experience. I was just going to check it out, and they seem to have everything I need, if that's what we had decided. I didn't have a lot of interaction with the staff, it was a quick tour, but they were nice. It was all around very good, they have all the amenities and facilities needed to take care of your elderly loved one.

I was able to tour Sugar Grove but they had no knowledge that I was even coming. I kinda threw the poor lady into a little bit of a panic when we showed up. We took the tour, and we talked to them, and we're gonna get back to them as soon as we know what's going on. This one was recommended to us by our advocate, and that's why we went to this particular place. We kinda have already checked a lot of places, I think this is one of the places that we are looking at. More than likely, it looks like it was one of the better places. I want my dad to explore it, and see if he likes it. He is on Medicaid, and we have to make sure that they take that waiver because we can't afford it to put him in some place. Our tour was great. I just kinda felt bad for the staff because she didn't know we were coming. It was great, it was wonderful. She was very, very attentive to us. She took care of it. She showed us all around. She explained as much as she possibly could because she just works on the weekend. It was great; It was fine. I had no problem with it. They were very, very good about it. The rooms that we saw were very clean, and very adequate for what we were looking for. We didn't try any food. The facility seemed like it was in a very good condition. It felt very homey, it felt very cozy and warm. It smelled very good when we walked in. The staff did a great job. The ones that we interacted with, they were very good, very attentive to us, and answered our questions. The facility is clean but it's a little dated.

Everything about Sugar Grove appeared to be excellent. It's well cared for on the outside and inside. I think my friend is pretty pleased. They had a birthday party there for her. I had lunch with her and it was fine. It's very nice and even newer than the other community my relative was in.

Sugar Grove had nice, individual cottages you can live in, and you feel like you're living in a little home instead of an apartment, and there's a garage attached. It's just a little bit higher than I can afford. The staff was very nice. They had movies, people coming in, crafts, and luncheons.

Sugar Grove was excellent. They showed us a two-bedroom condominium place, and it was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had card games, arts and crafts, a dining area, and a sitting area to play the games and crafts in.

Because we only visited the facility I was not quite sure what rating should be assigned. So I decided to split my review. We were greeted immediately by the Weekemd Manager. She was very friendly, well groomed and knowledgeable;. She took us on a tour of the facility which included opening the doors to apartments. So for this part of our tour I would give an Excellent rating. as she made us feel welcome.and not rushed. Although it was not lunch time. residents were in the dining hall visiting and looked happy and comfortable.. However because we only visited, and did not experience the day to day activities I rated the facility as average. Before I sign out I would like to share a "Moment" that convinced me this was a good place to be,... There was a gentleman in his electric cart headed to the dining room and about 2-3 feet behinf him was his dog! It was a good way to end the tour!

Sugar Grove is very nice and the dining area was very clean. The few staff members that I met were all very friendly. Their activities include different games, movies, crafts, and things like that. They have independent living, assisted living, and memory care. It's very clean and everything looks presentable. It's well-laid out. I like how they have different types of living. The memory care impressed me more. It was bright and the staff was happy, and it was just like a happy place. They're really trying to maintain that for the memory care people. They decorated it with bright colors.

My friend liked Sugar Grove. The staff seemed very nice, very informative, and very hospitable. He liked the proximity to where he lives now, the cost, and the type of suites that they have. It was a better fit for him. They had activities, library, and outings to the mall.

Sugar Grove was very beautiful and took pets. The staff who assisted us was very helpful and nice. The dining area was very nice, and we talked to several ladies who said the food was very good. They were playing bingo that day. They had a physical therapist on-site. I was very impressed with the place.

Sugar Grove is slightly smaller than the other community we saw. We chose the independent living facility because it had a garage. We wanted to still have our car for awhile. The other two we looked at did not have garages. The staff members are all friendly. They offer physical fitness. They have a library, a beauty shop, and two dining areas. You can use a sort of meal ticket and eat there, or you can go back to your apartment and do your own cooking. They have 4:00 happy hour everyday where you can meet everyone before dinner and have some drinks. They offer a bus to take you to different things, and you can sign up for it. Overall, they are very friendly and they allow pets. We have our cat that we are going to keep for awhile in the independent area.

Sugar Grove is very nice. The staff appeared to be friendly, and smiled and greeted the residents like they knew everybody there. We looked at their assisted living and the two-bedrooms were just too small to get our furniture in. It didn't really fit our needs. There wasn't any trash around, but we were concerned that they didn't have much parking for handicapped people. They also didn't have any garages for the cars, but there was a small shuttle bus. They showed us a list of their activities.

I thought the one-bedroom, one-bath at Sugar Grove was pretty small and didn't like that there wasn't room for a dining table. I have yet to see the two-bedroom, one-bath, which is a little bit bigger. The staff member was very pleasant and knew what she was doing. It's the best one that I've seen so far.

We had found Sugar Grove, but we had not moved in yet. It was very nice. It was clean. It had well landscaping. The person in charge was friendly and outgoing. The rooms were well done, and they were immaculate. They told us about the activities, and we saw the exercise room. They had a library, a movie room, a restaurant, a beauty shop, and a barbershop.

My mother lives here at Sugar Grove Senior Living. I am visiting here now and I have been dealing with this facility close to two years. I am pretty much pleased with what they have. My in-laws come down and visit this place also and we have them on the waiting list. When an opening comes up, we are going to move them from where they live now. It is a ranch and it is one level. It is not huge but it is pretty large. The assisted living side has three large hallways and a dining hall. They have another wing that is memory/additional medical need and there is cap on that side per room. They have LPN, RN and CAN 24/7. They have an ala carte service depending on what they need. They have a recreational lady that is here Monday through Friday. They have games and activities pretty much every day. There are church services on Sundays. Women can get their hair done here on Wednesdays. They have a bus and they take them on field trips on different places. They also take people to appointments and restaurants.

My mother has been a resident of this facility for almost a month now. We placed her here because it's near my brother's home. Also, my mother-in-law stayed in here. This place has a garden for walking and a large restaurant area for dining. The accommodations are just wonderful and really nice. The staff seems really attentive and caring. They provide a calendar for their activities. I think my mom will rate it really good. I even joked that I want to reside here as well. I will recommend this place to others. However, there's still room for improvement especially in the tap water quality. I noticed that it was rusty.
