I have moved into Encore 55+ Boutique Apartments - Plainfield. They have activities. They meet three days a week and have chair yoga. They have events. For History Month, they have a speaker come in and talk about Martin Luther King. They make it where you have to get to know your neighbors and they check on you, which I did not know. I got sick, and then one of my neighbors came and said, 'We didn't see you. We're just coming down to check on you,' so that was very nice, and they didn't have to do that. It's a very friendly and very active community. They have gone to the casinos, they make trips, they have cook-ins where we all bring something, and we also have fellowship down in the community area. It's a very welcoming community, and I like that. I have a two-bedroom-two-bathroom. I have a guest bedroom, which I like because now I can have my mom come to visit instead of having a one-bedroom. It's very spacious. I have plenty of room. It's very accommodating, and I love it. I have a nice little balcony. I could put a little table and chair out there. It's beautiful. I have a view of the courtyard, the tennis courts, and the pond. We also have a koi pond with little koi fish. We have an outdoor kitchen, and you're more than welcome to use it. It's just beautiful. And I like that everyone decorates for the holidays. It's Valentine's Day, and people have their wedding pictures out, and it's just beautiful. I love it. It's wonderful. The staff members check on you. We cook our own meals here, but they have a service that comes in twice a month. We have everything. We have our own movie theater, a yoga studio, a full-scaled gym, a hair salon, and housekeeping. They offer us free wine and beer every day. So, if you drink, you can go down and socialize and have wine and beer. You don't have to leave if you don't want to. It's a little expensive, but it is what it is because you pretty much have everything. Utility-wise, the only thing you pay for is your electricity. The internet is free except if you upgrade it, it's $10. So it's really up to you, but everything is covered.

Encore 55+ Boutique Apartments-Plainfield is very inviting. The upkeep is wonderful. The apartments are nice. They have wonderful services and the staff has been outstanding to my sister. She could go and ask them anything, like they found her a place to get her nails done. They have Bible study and they have just finished the wine and painting party. They've got a grief counseling group, a library, and movies. It's just wonderful for her.

My mom is at Encore 55+ Boutique Apartments-Plainfield. It is a beautiful facility with lots of amenities. It's a great location. They have a dog park, a salon, and trails. Their activities are all resident-driven. They play cards, bingo, and they have a movie night.

I will be moving into Encore Boutique 55+ Apartments - Plainfield. It's limited to people that are 55 years and older. It is a new facility that opened up in October or November last year, and they were still filling the vacant apartments that they still had and I was able to get one of those. The place is very nice and new, and there are a lot of amenities that I liked. There are lounges on all four levels of the apartment complex. There is a fireplace and lounge area in the main lobby. There is a gym facility with machines that people can utilize for exercise. Entry into the buildings is controlled by a fob that allows the tenants to open the doors, which are locked all day long, and the only people that have those fobs can enter the building. They told me that if there were ever to be a need for me to have any kind of assistance from a company that would provide that, like somebody come into my apartment on a weekly basis and help me with medications or something like that, that they had some contractors already available in case I needed them. If I need to have assistance with housecleaning or laundry, they have people available that I could hire for that also. Right now, I don't need any of that. I'm pretty much on my own and I love it that way. I have a one-bedroom, and it's almost as big as the two-bedroom apartment that I'm currently living in. It's very nice and wide open. I couldn't have picked a better place. They offered me a deal where if I signed a two-year lease, they would buy out the end of my lease at the place where I'm at. The staff is very friendly. They told me that if I needed any help when I move in to have some curtain rods installed on the windows, the maintenance people would be glad to come and do that for me. It's brand new, so there's not a whole lot you can complain about. They have a really good maintenance staff. They're friendly and they're willing to do anything you ask them to do because they all have the attitude that it's a new community in Plainfield and they want to put their best foot forward and the object to them is to make the tenants as happy as they can to make it more of a close-knit community for everybody to enjoy one another. They do not have a dining area. Being a community for people that don't have to rely on other people to cook their meals or eat meals in, they don't offer that. I think that's why they have four lounges, one on each floor, plus the main floor, there's an area where people can sit. They have a bar and some tables where people can sit and communicate with one another, but they also have a refrigerator where they have a beer and wine for the tenants. Anytime they want to sit down there and talk with one another and just sit around and enjoy each other's company, they can also enjoy something to drink. They have snacks every once in a while. There's a lounge on each floor and the second floor is a mini-theater where there's a big-screen TV that's about 6 feet wide. They got 12 to 15 theater seats in there, and you can go in there and stream Amazon Prime or any of the movie channels, stuff over the internet, and view those movies on that big screen TV in that theater on the second floor. I can't wait to get over there at the end of the month to be around people that are my own age, people that I feel more at ease with than the people in the community that I'm living in right now. I'm glad I'm moving into a 55+ community. They're all friendly. They're willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy and to make you feel comfortable in the community. It's so new, but you see maintenance people around there, running the vacuum and keeping the wood floors cleaned and waxed up. The facility is beautiful. They do a great job of keeping it up. When I saw Encore 55+, I said there's no sense in looking anywhere else. I'm completely happy with that place.
