My mother was at Cedar Creek of Muncie. She was there for three years. It was a very nice place. They took pretty good care of her, but I felt like they were always a little bit understaffed. The room of my mother was like a studio apartment. It was kind of small and tight with furniture in there. They had two-room apartments, but they were quite a bit more expensive. The staff were very good. They didn't have an activity director full-time there, and they didn't have a whole lot of activities there. They had a library. Originally, the menu was whatever they made that day is what you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Now they're going to have choices of different entrees that they can pick from, so that's going to be a better thing for them. It was a pretty nice facility and pretty well upkept, but I felt like they were kind of short-staffed most of the time. Other than that, it was a good place.

Lynd Place looked very nice and clean and things seemed to be operating smoothly. Everybody was busy doing their job. They were welcoming when we came in. The staff was very good at explaining everything and giving us an idea. I could tell that he was concerned about the residents. There was a man that stepped out in the hall that needed something and the staff was busy giving us a tour, but he assured the resident he was going to send somebody to take care of that. He got on the phone and notified somebody to go take care of it. I liked the room setup and the courtyards. I liked that it was on our way into Muncie, so it would be nice if we could just stop there every time we went to Muncie and see my father-in-law if he was there. We liked the enclosed courtyards and access to those and seats here and there in the hallway, so they could walk and then sit down and rest and then go again. It was a little bit more modern than homey, but it had a fireplace and one lady was sitting by it.

We have chosen Lynd Place for my cousin. He hasn't been there that long, but we're satisfied so far. I like the friendliness of it. They're interested and willing to help. Of course, they charge for that, but that's what they're in business for. My cousin's room is very nice. He has his own belongings. It's adequate for one person. I have not tried their meals, but he says they're good. Their dining room is average. It is kind of plain; it's sufficient. They have some interesting exercises, classes, and I heard some lectures type things and some learning experiences. The atmosphere is friendly and quiet. It appears to be having some fun things going on in the kitchen. They have outdoor activities, indoor activities, and movie nights. They have a little party room. They have a lot to offer.

We toured Lynd Place for my father-in-law, and the place was very clean. We were treated very courteously and had a good tour. The residents looked happy. The place is like a big hotel. The rooms were very clean and very nice. The one who toured us was very good. Everything seemed in working order.

We visited Lynd Place in Muncie. They're very informative and answered all of our questions. They also bent over backwards to make things so that dad would be comfortable. As far as them working with us and the cleanliness, I would give them a high rating. The building was clean, and they had two outdoor gardens.

My mother is now living in Lynd Place. It seems to be working with her, she's made friends, and she seems that she's taken that on as her home, and her needs are being met. The staff is very interactive and friendly, and keeps us informed.

Lynd Place is very nice and very comfortable. Mom actually did not want to go into a senior facility, but when we visited and she saw the facility, she loved it. The staff member was very helpful. She showed us the furnished model unit, then showed us the actual room that Mom would be getting. It was empty and open but nice. There were residents with pets, which gave me the feeling that it was a very homey and comfortable facility. They have a library, which impressed Mom.
