Mother has moved into Virginia Place. It's nice, clean, and kept up. They have a day room and a little courtyard where they could sit outside. The staff are friendly. They're taking care of my mother's health care needs. It's not like the last facility where she came from that was like they didn't like their job. At least here, the people act like they like their job. They love what they do. I asked my mother about the food, and she said it was a lot better than where she came from. So the food is pretty good. She hasn't participated in activities just yet. She is on her way to rehabilitation. They're working on getting up to transfer.

Virginia Place seemed a little congested to me. The place seemed like there was just a lot going on. They had a pretty nice-sized room. It had a dresser, nightstands, and large windows with blinds and curtains. It's a very nice room. The staff was nice and knowledgeable.

Virginia Place was very clean. At this time, the people are still wearing masks, so it's comfortable knowing that they're protecting themselves and their residents. My parents, they wanted something that had two bedrooms and they did not have that option there. The one-bedroom was very nice and ample. I had no problem with it except that, for my parents, it wasn't going to be big enough. The people who assisted us were very helpful. I like them a lot. The person that I dealt with was very helpful, kind, and thoughtful.

My tour at Virginia Place was very good. It was a smaller facility than the other one I saw, but it was very cozy, and you'd feel comfortable there. The residents and the staff were really engaging. They had a really nice courtyard, it's a really nice community.

I went to look at Virginia Place, and I was so amazed when I walked in. It's a very beautiful and comfortable establishment. They have sitting rooms where people can get together and play games. They have all kinds of activities for everybody there. It is gorgeous. The people that I talked to were very nice. They give their all in helping take care of everyone. I saw a one-bedroom apartment. They are very professional and very caring people. I could not believe how good and beautiful this place was.

Virginia Place was very nice and very clean. However, eventually, my mother-in-law's money is going to run out and they'll have to put her on Medicaid, but they don't take Medicaid. My mother-in-law is 88, and we've already moved her out of her home that she's been in for 65 years, and we don't want to have to move her again when she goes on Medicaid. The staff who assisted us was good. Everybody treated us well. The dining area was nice. They had a good selection, and it was very clean. Activities are exercise, playing cards, reading books together, doing jigsaw puzzles, and watching movies together. The food was good, too. The upkeep was nice.

I liked the people in Virginia Place. They seemed to be exceptionally caring and pleasant. They offered a wide variety of services that were enjoyable. It seemed as though the residents enjoyed themselves, too. It seemed they were being appreciated. I just liked the one on one relationship. The facilities were good. I would be recommending this place to my brother, if he ever makes a choice. The rooms were very nicely done. The room had a living area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. It was very clean and orderly. We liked it. I liked the activities. They were very conducive to offering my brother opportunities to pursue the things that he is still capable of. They also had a barber shop, a salon, an activity room, and a movie room.

Virginia Place was clean and because it's in a livelier neighborhood (the main grocery store is across the street and it's a newly developed area), when you look at it from the outside and then going into the place, it was a little more modern. The person who toured me around was very helpful. The rooms were OK. The dining area looked clean. They did a superior job in trying to educate me on what they would do in the event I needed services longer than respite care. They told me everything even though it wasn't relevant for that day.

Virginia Place was really nice. I loved it. The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean and warm. It didn't smell like a nursing home. It was nice to see people eating in the dining area. They were still distant (due to COVID), but just communicating with each other and talking to each other. There's a lot of amenities for the residents. There were game rooms and a really nice courtyard that you could go out and commune in. The courtyard is actually attached to the rooms, so depending on what room you're in, you could just walk out to your back door into it. The staff was amazing. They were very nice and very helpful. They still follow up with me every day, even though they know I may be looking somewhere else. I just got a call from one of the district managers a few minutes ago. They went out to see dad in the hospital. They are just great. If he wasn't already where he was, this is exactly where he would be. The place gives you more of a timeshare/hotel feel to it. They also gave us cookies and they were the best chocolate chip cookies any of us has ever eaten in life.

I visited Virginia Place assisted living. I thought it was nice. It's very neat and tidy, very comfortable-looking, and clean. The staff was nice. They have little concerts. They have a TV room, and they go places.

I went to Virginia Place. It was nice, nice setup, looked good, smelled good, and the rooms looked nice and clean. I did like the place. I think it's privately owned because they don't accept Medicare at all. I like Susan. She was nice. She did a really good job of explaining everything. It's a really nice tour. It's very impressive. It was very clean. All the apartments have kitchenettes because you get three meals a day, but they have like they have a little setup with a microwave, a small refrigerator, and a little coffee maker where you can make coffee in your room.

I toured Virginia Place. The lady Susan was very, very thorough and very informative because this was my first visit, trying to understand exactly what my options are. She gave us a tour of the facility and all of its activities. But then, unfortunately, because it is private insurance, and my mom is not a spouse of a veteran, this was out of our league. The rooms were recently renovated, but they were clean and efficient. I went right at lunchtime, and it was perfect timing that we had gone. They have a chef on duty, and they had asked if we were going to stay for lunch. I did not stay for lunch, but we were there for almost an hour and a half of taking the tour and watching the interactions of the tenants living there. It was something that I would be interested in if I could afford that for my mother, but unfortunately, we can't because it is a private establishment. The dining area was clean and well-lit. It's an older building but they had some renovations.

I had an in-person tour of Virginia Place. It was a very nice place. They have good people there. It was clean. The director and staff were very nice. It would be a place that we would consider having our mom. The staff was very cordial, professional, personable, and knowledgeable. They gave us a calendar of their activities. They have happy hour and bingo. The rooms were nice and clean. They showed us a one-bedroom and a studio.

We looked at the one-bedroom and studio apartment in Virginia Place, and they did a very nice tour of it. The staff was very nice, very gracious, professional, and answered all of my questions. They did a follow up call and did everything that I would have expected them to do. The rooms and the other areas were nice and clean. The layout was also nice. They have a couple of options for gathering and a dining hall.

Virginia Place needs to be updated. It wasn't as economical as far as that goes because I think it's older and dated. It hasn't been updated in a long time. It was kind of depressing in its color choices. It's not for us. The staff was very nice, very helpful, and very thorough; I had no problem with that. The facility was fine as far as quality of care and all that would go. It's just not very pretty, it's not very updated, and there were stains on the carpet. The staff was very good.

It was OK, but I wasn’t as impressed with it. It looked more like a nursing home than an assisted living. The residents were nice and friendly, but the rates were much higher. It seemed like the community was a little bit older and not as upscale. They were adequate rooms, and they had a community room and a dining room. They did have a garden where you could go out on the patio from each room which was rather nice.

The room was very nice and very clean. The staff was very friendly. They had all different size rooms. The room was like a studio but it was very nice. The dining area was very nice. It was clean. It was more like restaurant-type. The staff told us about the activities. They have the normal like bingo and ice cream social.

My father is currently here. I like the facility. The rooms met our needs. The pricing definitely was the number one pull for me. The sales representative was very attentive and understood the concerns I have regarding my father’s care. I would recommend this community.

I loved watching how the staff interacted with the residents. I liked that the front door was locked, and my uncle seemed like he made a connection with the people and even with the residents there right away. They were doing a bible study in one section, and he was interested in what was going on there. He started making himself at home talking with people, so I thought it was really a good place for him. I thought the facility was very clean, and it was just a few blocks from his doctors.

The staff is helpful, and we didn't have any problems with the move-in. They seemed concerned about my dad that he is happy, and we are pretty happy about the experience so far. He has his room on the side of the courtyard -- which is well-landscaped and with nice scenery -- and the door opens right to the courtyard. They have all kinds of activities, anywhere from Bingo to live music and movie nights. The food could be a little better.

We went and it was a very nice facility. They were very helpful. They answered all of our questions. We took a tour. They showed us the dining room, the menus, and all the amenities that they offered. We thought my mother-in-law would be comfortable there. However, she was staying at her daughter at this point. I thought the amenities were nice. There was an outside patio area. They had a regular dining room or they could eat in their room. They had an activity area where people could watch movies, play games or play cards or what not. They also offered people where they do day trips, out for shopping or to casinos, and that was excellent as well because she could go out. They also had clergies because church was a big deal for her.

It was rather small compared to some of the other homes in Northwest Indiana. It was pleasant on the outside. It was in a large commercial area, but it had nice grounds around it. It wasn't a very large place. What I really liked about it was that they were upfront right away with the cost. It was neat and clean. They had the dining hall and sun porches. They have people that come in and entertain them. They have clubs, and they've got a bus that transports them to outside activities and medical facilities. It seemed comfortable. They had enough employees to handle the amount of people they have.

My mother is here. The apartment is very nice. It is spacious enough for her. She has a courtyard view, and she can stand outside and watch the birds. She has her own porch. It is all on one level, so I don't have to worry about a balcony or anything like that. The staff is very nice and very cordial. They work well with me and my mother. They have no pool or gym, but they have activities to keep her busy. I have tried their food. The day I was there I had beef roast, and it was very nice. My mom hasn't complained about the food. Actually, the food is pretty good. They have a very beautiful dining area.

My friend here and my visit there is wonderful. The place is clean. The staff is friendly. There isn't anything that they are not able to tell me. They have one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. They have a list of activities. The price is average.
