I toured Bethany Village Assisted Living. I like everything. They have a nice room, and I didn't care for the two rooms, but I like the one they said I could get and then move up into the other one. Money is still a problem. It's like $4000 or something a month. They have a refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink. Two people showed me around, and they were both very nice. They serve three meals a day, and if I go, then that's paid for, if not and they deliver it to my room, then it costs me $2. They do have an outdoor space.

We were very impressed with Bethany Village. We had lunch in the dining room and it was delicious, very nicely served, and very healthy. The rooms that we saw were very nicely done, very attractive, spacious, and light. They had all kinds of plays and concerts that would be very affordable for me and almost within walking distance. Bethany Village's assisted living unit is part of a trilogy of facilities. One would be the independent living apartments, and then assisted and then the nursing home part. We were very impressed with that. Everything was done very nicely, friendly, and homey. The staff was not gushy or doing anything out of the ordinary and treated us as if we have come through the front door of their home. I liked the fact that when the time comes, moving into a nursing home would be a matter of just moving across the driveway.

We visited Bethany Village. They're Christian-based, but they were small. They shared bathrooms like the other facility. However, the people were very, very nice and helpful. The facility was small, and two rooms would share one bathroom, but the people that work there was very, very friendly and very helpful.

The staff in Bethany Village is very nice and friendly. It wasn't quite as clean and not as quite as spacious as the other facilities. The facility was a little smelly. It is an older and smaller facility. They seem to have some activities. Everybody pretty much has crafts and that kind of thing. There were some people who were engaged in activities while I was there. One thing they can improve on was the cleanliness, because I don't know if the problem was with the people living there, but there was a certain aroma; let's put it that way.
Provider Response
Thank you so much for visiting one of our buildings on the Bethany campus! We always appreciate feedback as it is an opportunity for us to show that we care and we will look into any concerns. To further assist us in this endeavor could you please tell us which facility you were in? The campus consists of three buildings: a single story skilled care unit on your right as you pull in, a seven story independent apartment building on your left, and if you continue to drive straight to the back you would find a three story assisted living building. It will be most beneficial to know which building you were in so we can address the concerns. Thank you so much!

Bethany Village offers a lot; it has independent living, assisted living in another building and the nursing home. My mother has a very bad eyesight and the independent living facility has too many people with walker and wheel chairs so she would have a hard time trying to move around. In addition, it was on the fourth floor and mom would have to take the elevator which wasn't very large and moved very slow. The staff was very helpful and really really nice. She told us what the options are and how they evaluate the different areas of care.
