Ivy Trace was way too expensive and didn't have apartments, just nursing home-type rooms. It was a very clean and nice place in a fine location.

Ivy Trace Greencastle was the one that you would go down to go to a parking lot. It wasn't as clean, but it had more room. They had a bedroom area, a sitting area, and a kitchenette. It has basically two rooms, and I liked the two-room idea, but the quality wasn't there. I didn't think there was quite enough staff at hand. For my sister, she needed medications given to her four times a day. They usually had one person on staff at night, and I didn't feel that it was enough to accommodate the things that my sister needed. She was a little more handicapped, and I felt that wasn't quite for her. If you were not handicapped or anything, I thought, they were probably a good place because it was spacious. The dining area was nice. They had nice round, wood tables, and I thought at that time, there were only 13 residents there. I didn't see a lot of people or anything, but they kept their grounds nice, and it was a whole lot cheaper. It was probably about $900 cheaper than where my sister was right now. The lady there that helped us was very nice. We really considered it, until I realized that I didn't think there was enough staff to accommodate the different needs of my sister.
