Wittenberg Lutheran Village has been very good. My mom likes it very much and she likes her apartment, which is very nice. She also likes not having any responsibility as far as the maintenance of her home. The rooms are spacious. They seem to have a calendar of events that they can do socially with transportation, and they also have things within the complex itself, like a fitness facility and a walking path. My mom also likes to play cards like bridge and pinochle. The place is very clean, well-maintained, reasonably priced, and we picked it because it has continuous care. The staff is very nice and helpful. The person we dealt with always responded to our calls and questions. She's very happy, so we're happy.

We visited Wittenberg Village. The rooms were very small and it included a little kitchenette. We were not too impressed. The price was a lot more than other places, too. The staff was very nice. The apartments were clean, but they were really small. They have one, big common room. The place was very clean.

Wittenberg Village is an excellent facility. Actually, it's not a facility, it's like a village, and they age in place. You can go into a home or a villa home, to the assisted gardens, the price is reasonable, it's clean, and it's nice too. It' a total age in place, it's reasonable, clean, and nice. The staff that helped me out during my visit was very knowledgeable and very friendly. There's social distancing going on, so it's not like you can roam all over the place. They have a fitness room that I saw, they have their activities, they have the transportation like the other places do. Things are just starting to reopen up.

The nursing staff in assisted living seemed to respond to everything with "stroke" and an ambulance call. There was little to no attempt to engage my relative in any activities (their response was "we can't force her to do anything") until after we said he was moving out. My relative complained that the food in hearthstone assisted living was horrible. the independent living side appears to be pretty nice, but I simply can't impress enough how unimpressed we were with the assisted living side.

My father is in Wittenberg in Crown Point. Their assisted facility is called Hearthstone. I would move him just to be closer to me, but that is a hard decision because it has been very good, and I have no issues at all with the facility. It is probably laid out differently than most assisted living facilities because you walk in, and it is a gigantic open room where they have the dining, the TV area, and the game area all combined, and then all the rooms are on the perimeter of the place. They have larger rooms and all the way down to studio apartments, and so it helps with the price level depending on what one could afford. They have laundry facilities and games daily. They have a nice workout room too, and they bring someone over and do classes. They have CNAs on hand; they don’t have any nurses actually, but the CNAs do a really good job. They call me all the time if they have questions about things and answer questions that I have. It is a wonderful place.

My first impression of Wittenberg Village was that it was neat, clean, tidy, and spirited. All of the employees smiled and helped my mom to be much more receptive to staying there. The meals are typical and go according to their diets, which is a beautiful thing. To quote my mom, “I love it here. They have so much for me to do, and if I don’t go down to breakfast, lunch or dinner, they come to my room and get me.” So, the place is like family. It is hard to get in touch with her because they have her doing so much, which is great. They take her out on field trips or give her projects based on her likes or what she was used to doing prior to coming there. She feels like she has a task to do and really enjoys it. The activities are great. I think it is impeccable. When she initially went in, she was in a private room, which I felt helped get her acclimated to her environment. When she agrees to go and move there, she would get a roommate. What I like about that is that the facility gets a chance to get to know her personality and then will pair her up with somebody she can relate to. They orchestrated that well. I know in reality there is no perfect place, but they do strive for excellence.

Everything at Wittenberg Lutheran Village was great and fine, and we elected to leave my brother in. It’s a very nice place and well appointed with the social workers that worked there. Very well-kept, pretty, and nice place. The food is excellent, and the dining area looks clean and nice. The dining area looks like a little restaurant.

I visited Wittenberg Village. I have a neighbor friend who is in the independent, and I have been into his room and around the facility. It is a very nice facility too, but the other facility has a better price than this one. However, Wittenberg is very clean, and they have lots of activities and things for people to do. My friend is very happy there.

My dad is at Wittenberg. He has been there for three to four weeks now. Actually Wittenberg has multiple levels, and my dad is in the rehab-skilled section. The rooms are very nice. He is in a private room. The staff is flexible to meet his needs. They are friendly and welcoming. They let my mom stay overnight for one night.

We liked Wittenberg better. It is independent living, nursing home, and skilled nursing care. It is really good. The staff is really attentive. They call whenever there is a medication change. They were friendly when they sat down with us. They weren't all about money upfront, and they care more about the patient. The food is good, and my mom likes it. She's in a shared room with someone. The room is kept clean, and she can hang stuff on the wall.

A few times we've been at Wittenberg, and the staff was pretty helpful. It's a pretty nice place. I saw their dining room, and it is really nice too. With their activities, I know she goes to bingo and stuff. The place seems to be secured and safe.

The staff is very good at Wittenberg Village. They are very attentive. I was there for lunch as a guest of a lady that moved there, and we have been talking about moving into a facility, but we are not ready yet. They have lots of choices when it comes to their food, and they have a very elegant dining area. When we were leaving, I think they had happy hour. The rooms are nice, and you can decorate them the way you want to; my friend has a lot of personal things in there.

I was able to visit Wittenberg Village at Crown Point. It's the next best facility that I have seen. The facility is very nice and they have a very nice brand new independent living. The assisted living area is kind of dated, but overall it's a pretty good facility. It's in a nice location. If someone is looking for an independent living facility, this community would be a very nice choice. For their assisted living, it's old and they really need to upgrade the place, but the staff are very good.

Wittenburg Lutheran Village is a facility that really goes the extra mile to care for their residents and to make them feel at home. The staff is amazing. The residents are allowed and encouraged to personalize their living quarters by painting the walls, putting up wallpaper, anything to make their transition easier. We made my grandmothers room look just like the room at her home did. This facility is super clean and the grounds are immaculate. There are always activities going on encouraging residents to leave their rooms and socialize. They have many services available to them on the grounds including a convenience store and a beauty shop. Residents are encouraged to maintain as much of their independence as possible, however, there is a nursing facility on the grounds as well so that if the time comes that they need more direct care it is an easy transition. Church services are held here regularly. The facility hosts many fundraisers such as a spaghetti dinner and car show to raise money for trips and activities for the residents.
