We moved into Cedarhurst of Waterloo. The people are friendly, it's very clean, and they're welcoming. I know that they have a lot of card games and I saw them go on an outing one time when I was down there, but I've not been there enough to know all the stuff that they do. They give you a printout of what they do but I haven't looked at it. The food is good. If you don't like what they have, they have an alternative menu which we've ordered from that a couple of times, so it was nice. The only people that I've seen working there are at the front desk and in the dining room. We're in the process of moving in. We don't have our furniture there yet, so we're not there at nighttime.

I visited Cedarhurst of Waterloo. They were all nice communities but the pricing was too high. The tour was wonderful. The facility was clean. The residents were all happy. The residents themselves looked like they were very well taken care of. The outside courtyard was all fenced in for security, and I was very impressed with that.

Cedarhurst of Waterloo was very nice, but it was expensive. It's a newer facility, and the people were more mobile. If you didn't want to take a shower, they had one of those walk-in bathtub spas that you could use. They also have a person coming in that does their nails, but they have to pay for that. There's a beauty shop and they do a lot of trips. The meals were included, they have three meals a day. The person who showed us around was very nice. They've reached out to me several times to see if I'm interested. They did a good tour, and we toured the whole facility. I even got to see regular memory care. They showed me how people had set up their rooms, so I could get an idea of what my mom could do there. You could fit a double-sized bed in the room and the studio there.

Cedarhurst of Waterloo is very expensive, but they're beautiful. It's like walking into a mansion, but the price reflected that also. Their memory care is so expensive, and that's mostly what we needed. It was beautiful. They look like you're walking into a really fancy home. I didn't see the apartments, but the rooms have a bedroom, living room, and bathroom. That was for the memory care, because they can't do anything anyway. It was amazing, and I imagine the apartments are too. The staff was amazing. She even called me later on to see if I found a place, and to check on my husband and see how he was doing. They are great people. They have a walk where you can walk your dog. They have a gardens and patios and all of that also.

My stepmom was in memory care at Cedarhurst of Waterloo. From what I saw, they were great, but it was during the lockdown, so I couldn't go in and visit her. The only time I was in there was when I moved her in. Because it was in the wintertime, there was like a little foyer or something, I got to talk to her through the door. They had Facetime with the iPad or something that they let people use. It was bright and cheery looking. I think she got a lot of care, but when I looked up online and when I got there, the price was very high. She really couldn't afford it. The room was super. Everything was kind of bright and cheery. They were bright colors and sunny. It was nice. The staff was really good and professional. Any time I called to ask about her, they always talked to me and tell me what was going on. I was happy with everything. It was just the price is why I had to move her. I had to move her in there and it was kind of a rush because she got kicked out of the other facility. I don't know them as well as I knew the other facility because I couldn't visit. If I don't go by the money, it was great.

We visited and were interested in the Cedarhurst of Waterloo for my mother-in-law, it's just that we found another place that's close to where her house is. We liked it because of the area, they had gardens and gazebos in the back. It seemed like you would be able to get out and walk around the area a little bit more. They had entrances that were set up to where you could go outside without having to be inside the building all the time. They also had a stove that was available instead of just a microwave, and that's good because she would probably like to do her own cooking. The staff seemed very nice, no complaints there. They were very accommodating.

We chose Cedarhurst of Waterloo because it's close to my house, and we wanted my loved one to move to Waterloo. We checked the other ones out and this is the one she liked best. Her level of care is really minimal. She is in an apartment style room with a kitchen, living room, and bedroom. She can attend activities there and go for morning exercise walks. They do a few outings on the bus. They do three meals a day and come in and clean her apartment. That's part of the service that you pay, but she is capable of doing everything herself. She likes the staff a lot. They come and throw your trash out a couple of times a day. With the virus going on, they bring the food to their rooms. She has a patio. The rooms are very nice. They looked brand new when she moved in. It's very, very clean and the staff is very nice. She likes the food. She said the food is good. I like the living atmosphere. Mind you, she has never been married, she has always lived out on her own. She was very unsocial and she didn't do much, but now she is very social there. These are people close to her age and they do different activities. It's pricey, but she's OK with it.

Cedarhurst of Waterloo was great. The staff member was excellent. The room was nice. They have a front room and a bedroom. The food was great. Everything was great. That's why I want to send my mom there. All the people seemed to care for the place. They have a nurse 16 hours a day. They have arts, and every night at 6:00 p.m. they watch movies in the family room area. It was amazing. It was a great place. My mom would be fine there. We were really happy with this place, but it was a little expensive. They keep the residents busy. They have arts and crafts.
