We toured Supportive Living of Washington, but I didn't like that one. When you walk in the door, it was just too busy. There's too much stuff in there that it kind of seemed cluttered. I have a big family and there's nowhere to go and sit comfortably to visit outside the room. I looked at the rooms. They were clean, but they seemed like they need to be updated. They didn't have a doctor on call, but they did have a medical person. As far as registered nurses, they only stayed there on just a workday. The dining area was nice. The person who gave me the tour was very informative. In the hallway, to get to your room, there were slopes. My mother has knee problems and so for her to get around that place with certain hallways would've been difficult. They have a beauty salon and some small areas where you could do some crafts, a library, and a little theater room to watch movies. They also had church services.

My tour at Supportive Living of Washington was good, but they have a waiting list at the moment. The people looked very happy. All the areas were very clean. I was quite impressed. I liked the bathroom situation, the fact that it was not a tub with a shower, it was an actual shower. You could walk in and not have to worry about tripping, which is important to us old people. They have a beauty salon. They showed the mailboxes and the outgoing mail slot, and that's important to communicate with people. They had some rooms where there was seating and TV, like if you want to have a movie night. The laundry area was closed. I was impressed with the cleanliness. There were residents that you could see, and they looked happy, and that's important. The staff during the tour was very kind and explained everything.

We toured Supportive Living of Washington. We weren't too impressed at first because when we got there, they didn't even know we were supposed to be there and there was nobody to give us a tour. We had to wait for a while for somebody to get there to give us a tour. They said they didn't know anything about us being there. The place was smaller and not as bright and cheery as the other one. They have like a mini-fridge and a microwave in the room. They have like a patio out back with chairs and tables. However, I would give them a 3 because we had to wait. Also, the person that was giving the tour was knowledgeable, but she was kind of rushed because she had somewhere to go, so we felt like we were kind of rushed through it.

Supportive Living of Washington is all assisted living. It's very clean, friendly, and has a smaller kind of a home town feel to it. It's not that large. The staff who assisted me was knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms were nice. They were a little bit smaller rooms compared to the big facilities, but they did have a kitchenette and a separate bedroom, bathroom, and living room. The dining room was nice and clean. And since it's a smaller community there, it was fairly small but they could put everybody in there. They showed us a salon, physical therapy room, there was a massage therapy room and there's a movie theater too. It's very nice, it has a little bit more of a country-style versus a modern style, but it was very updated.

I have chosen Supportive Living of Washington for my mom. It's more assisted living. It's a Christian-run organization. We just stepped in, and everyone was so gracious and so kind. They stopped what they were doing. They showed my sister and me around. The residents were all happy. It's very homey. A lot of times you see these places and they're so austere and it's like a luxury hotel, and a lot of times they're just not comfortable in that, they want to be home, and this feels like home. The apartments are super clean. Everything is set up for ease of access, which I love. There are like pull chains in the living room and the bathroom, and they give them one to wear around their neck. Everything is included, and there's no extra price for anything. For example, if my mom needs help with medicine, bathing, laundry, or cleaning, it's all the same price, and they fit their care to her needs. It's phenomenal; I can't say enough about it. The dining area is huge. I love it. They can sit wherever they want. The food is brought to them. If they don't show up, they go check their room for them, which I love. I asked a couple of the residents, and they love the food.

We had a wonderful tour of Supportive Living of Washington. The director that showed us around was very nice, very patient, answered all our questions, and showed us everything we wanted to see. The facility is very nice too. It's several stories, so there's elevators. They seem to have enough staff and a lot of activities planned. They also have a nice dining hall. It's only about three miles from where I live, and a block away from the highschool where my daughter goes. My daughter said, "Oh, I can just go over there during lunchtime and eat lunch with grandma." It's an older building, but it's not dirty or anything like that. It's a clean facility.

My 90 year old Dad has been a resident for 7 years. His care has been top-notch especially since the pandemic. Amy and her staff have gone way above and beyond to make sure both the residents and employees are as safe as possible. I greatly appreciate the regular communication as it alleviates some of the worry that accompanies Covid. The staff have thought outside of the box in order to keep the residents’ spirits up by coming up with creative, social-distanced activities and treats and safe ways for families to visit their loved ones.

2020 has been a very difficult year for everyone, especially facilities for senior citizens. Supportive Living has done an outstanding job protecting the residents and keeping the COVID problem to a minimum. This has required lots of work, thank you all for what you have done; we don't say that enough.

The staff has done a superb job dealing with the extra work caused by the pandemic. They have also done an excellent job with activities and keeping up the morale of the residents during these unprecedented times. When I have dropped off items for my loved one, the staff has been very prompt in coming out to get them and promptly delivering the items. The staff is always very pleasant and courteous when I call them. The director has done an excellent job keeping family members informed via Email on a regular basis. The work they did in videotaping the residents for both Thanksgiving and Christmas and sending them to family members are treasured items for families for years to come.
