My mother-in-law is now in Warren Barr Lieberman. The reason why we choose them is because they are taking Medicaid and public aids. They have Russian-speaking nurses, and my mother-in-law is Russian speaking. They have a Russian program. My mother-in-law is also Jewish, and they have Jewish traditions. This is a Jewish nursing home. And if you want, you can order kosher food. She's not kosher, but for people who have one kosher food, they can provide. They even have a Russian TV, so this kind of works out for us because we are not paying anything for that nursing home. Everything is paid. Three times a day, they have a meal. They have a fridge. Each person lives in a separate room, so that's one room for one person. They are taking my mother-in-law two times a week for showers, they have a big screen TV, they have a nice variety of different kinds of books, like a library outside, and they have a like banquet hall. You can use that banquet hall on the first floor. They also have nurses, and they are checking blood pressure every morning. The staff are doing a really good job. I didn't taste the food, but my mother-in-law says it's very good. She is not complaining about the food, and there is a lot of variety like meat, some fruits, and some desserts sometimes. It actually depends on the meal plan because every person, when they come in, they have their own meal plan. For example, some people need to have only soft food, some people can have vegetarian, and some people can have only kosher foods.

My aunt was here for about a year. Very short staffed, especially on weekends. Horrible food. CNAs that are outsourced from agencies don't care about patients. Individual private rooms and great nurses are the only reason I'm even giving 2 stars.

My Aunt went in to Leiberman in September of last year during the sale of the company. She had to go on medicaid, The care overall has been abhorrent. No staff, no care. She has fallen and been to the emergency room 4 or 5 times under their care at least. This month she will be 104 and just this week went into hospice care. Her time is up. Thank God. Her time there was miserable to say the least. Although she has not been easy to care for, there is no reason to leave on her bed naked for extended periods of time. They also did not change her diaper regularly and ended up at the emergency room after sliding out of her wheel chair with a head injury and a UTI. This treatment has been going on for 1 1/2 years. They loose her earring aids so she can't hear. I talked with them today and asked if they could just treat her with some dignity in her final days. They don't really care. After my Aunt passes I plan to file a complaint with Medicaid. They received her life pension and SS. $4225 a month plus Medicaid. They made a fortune off of her with NO care.

My 94 year old mother was recently in rehab at Warren Barr Lieberman Skokie following surgery for a broken elbow, broken vertebrae and Covid. The care, if you can call it that, was untenable. The first morning she was there the aide came in her room & cranked up the back of her bed. My mother was in agony from the broken vertebrae, asked her to stop and she wouldn’t respond or stop. My mother would need to use the restroom and would wait an hour and a half before an aide would show up. She would have a mess in her diaper, tell the aide when she finally showed up and the aide just walked out and did not come back. Another time she called to be cleaned up as she had another mess in her diaper. Her breakfast was there and they told her she had to eat her breakfast first before they would clean her up. They left her sitting in a messed diaper. The physical therapist had come into the room a bit later and was the one that cleaned her up. How can you hire people who don’t care about the way they treat the patients they are hired to care for? We had to hire a private caretaker to be there, which we should not have had to do. After 5 days, which was the soonest we could move her due to her positive Covid test, we transferred her to another facility where the care was exemplary, which is what should be expected. Not the disregard of the patient’s well-being, as was exhibited prior to her being transferred.

My sister is in Warren Barr Lieberman. They're short-staffed and they don't pay as much attention as they need to. You have some good nurses, but being short-staffed, they are not as available. There's not enough staff to accommodate the residents in a timely manner. She's not satisfied, but overall, cleanliness, not smelling urine, stuff like that, it's good. They need to improve on their staff and some of the nurses. Some of them are not friendly. They don't talk to the residents with compassion. She has some nurses that do, and some that don't and that's the one with the call button. It's the way they talk to the residents. They have activities in the book, but she hasn't been able to go to any of them. She does right now have the therapist that comes into the room to start her on a plan, and that's good. Some of the things that she needed, they expedited pretty quickly in the therapy department. They take out the garbage and stuff; they're pretty good on that. They keep it clean.

It seemed alright. The room is decent. The dining room was nice and the food seems decent, there was wait staff that was very attentive. They tried to give it more of a restaurant like atmosphere. I didn’t really observe any activities, but the first time I visited there was like a piano concert going on. My aunt mentioned to me that she had played bingo. It was clean; there wasn’t anything that was disgusting.
